2011 Dodge Challenger problems
The Dodge Challenger is the name of three different generations of automobiles produced by American automobile manufacturer Dodge. However, the first use of the Challenger name by Dodge was in 1959 for marketing a "value version" of the full-sized Coronet Silver Challenger.
From model years 1970 to 1974, the first generation Dodge Challenger pony car was built using the Chrysler E platform in hardtop and convertible body styles sharing major components with the Plymouth Barracuda.
The second generation, from model years 1978 to 1983, was a badge engineered Mitsubishi Galant Lambda / Sapporo, a coupe version of an economical compact car.
The third and current generation is a full-size muscle car that was introduced in early 2008 originally as a rival to the evolved fifth generation Ford Mustang and the fifth generation Chevrolet Camaro.
In November 2021, Stellantis announced that 2023 model year would be the final model year for both the LD Dodge Charger and LA Dodge Challenger, as the company will focus its future plans on electric vehicles rather than fossil fuel powered vehicles, due to tougher emissions standards required by the Environmental Protection Agency for the 2023 model year. Challenger production ended on December 22, 2023, and the Brampton, Ontario assembly plant will be re-tooled to assemble an electrified successor.

I’ve taken it to vigo dodge and had 3 different mechanics inspect my car over 5 hours and although they each drove my car and experienced what I’m referring to, they didn’t know what the problem is. I was told to just drive it til it got worse and then maybe they could find the problem. THE DODGE DEALERSHIP IN LAKE HAVASU CITY, AZ HAS HAD THE VEHICLE TWICE FOR A WEEK OR TWO AND LAST WEEK TOLD US THAT THESE VEHICLES SHOULD NOT BE DRIVEN ON DIRT ROADS BECAUSE THE DUST GETS ON THE ABS SENSOR AND CAN CAUSE THIS PROBLEM. THIS CAR HAS BEEN DRIVEN ON THIS SAME ROAD FOR SEVERAL YEARS AND HAS JUST STARTED DOING THIS IN THE LAST YEAR. THE DODGE DEALERSHIP HAS NOT BEEN ABLE TO DUPLICATE THE PROBLEM, SO THEY ARE SAYING THERE IS NOTHING WRONG. I PAID THEM TO CHANGE THE MASTER CYLINDER ON THE FIRST VISIT TO THE DEALERSHIP BECAUSE I HAVE EXPERIENCED SIMILAR PROBLEMS CAUSED BY THE MASTER CYLINDER IN THE PAST. OF COURSE THIS WAS BEFORE ABS AND CARS BECOMING SO COMPLICATED THAT I CAN NO LONGER WORK ON THEM. CHANGING THE MASTER CYLINDER DID HAVE AN EFFECT ON THE PROBLEM, BUT IT DID NOT CURE IT. I BELIEVE THIS IS A POTENTIALLY DANGEROUS PROBLEM AND I AM CONCERNED THAT DODGE HAS NOT TAKEN THIS PROBLEM AS SERIOUSLY AS THEY SHOULD. THE FIRST CASE NUMBER THAT DODGE GAVE ME WAS 79023033. THEY WERE SUPPOSED TO SEND A TECHNICIAN TO THE DEALERSHIP TO HELP, BUT I DON'T KNOW IF THAT HAPPENED. THE SECOND CASE NUMBER IS 79309555. THEY SAID WE COULD TAKE IT TO OTHER DEALERSHIPS FOR A SECOND OPINION AT OUR EXPENSE WHICH OF COURSE WILL BE EXTREMELY EXPENSIVE. THANK YOU FOR ANY HELP YOU CAN GIVE.

Congratulations on your new 2010 SRT 8! It's always exciting to upgrade to a bigger engine, and it sounds like you made a great choice. I completely agree that Dodge did an amazing job with the retro style of the car. While the interior may not be perfect, it's still a fantastic car overall. I appreciate your honest feedback about the headliner and the passenger door, and I'm sure other potential buyers will find it helpful. It's great to hear that you enjoy driving it so much, even more than your wife's Mercedes 400 rag top. Thank you for sharing your experience with us!

Still practically new. Your car gets a lot of attention, especially with the green color. The 6.4L engine has a lot of power and can sit you back in the seat any time you want to. I'm so glad to hear that you love the car! It's comfortable, powerful, and large enough for your family to enjoy.

Do you believe in Love at First Drive? I didn’t. As a DIY mechanic, I've worked on all my cars, including my first Car 69’ Dart, 68’ Merc Cougar, and even C’Notched (lowered 2” Front, 4” Rear) a GMC Sierra. However, my 2010 R/T was the first car I fell in love with at first drive. These cars are so much fun to customize and add custom parts to, and I still ended up adding goodies to mine. Unlike Mustangs and Camaros, my HEMI R/T is quiet and smooth, and it doesn't feel like it's going to fall apart when I'm smashing it. Maintenance is easy (7qts Mobil 1), and the spark plugs are easy to access with the right extensions (all 16 of them 😒). There's so much room to work on the car, and you can easily add on performance parts/tuner chips/headers/throttle that can match or outperform a Camaro/Mustang if you know what you're doing. The interior is spacious and comfortable, although the dash is a bit blah 🥱. But let's be honest, you're not test driving a HEMI for the interior design 🤣. So, what are you waiting for? Get one!!!!

Congratulations on your new 2010 Dodge Challenger SE! It sounds like you had a great experience driving it home. The car handled well and you were pleased with the air conditioning, radio, and ABS. It's great to hear that you didn't have any issues with performance and that you love the shifter. It's also good to know that you found a solution to the views by adjusting the right side mirror. It's wonderful that the dealer filled the tank with gas and you still had a full tank when you arrived home. It sounds like your car really commands the road and even gets some attention from other drivers. Enjoy your new ride!

After driving a 1500 Ram for 5 years, I was ready for a change. The TV commercial of the Challenger burning out on pavement in slow motion really caught my attention. The dealership had a great discount/incentive for buying a 2010 model. The car is absolutely fun and I receive compliments daily wherever I go. The 13 speaker kicker stereo system with sub is awesome. In my opinion, the handling is quite good, but of course, this is coming from a guy that traded in a pickup. The SRT8 seats and interior as a whole look much better than the bland gray of the lower models. I have no regrets... it's just pure fun!

When you buy something, you always hope that it will be the best fit for you. However, in this case, the interior is uncomfortable, and the gas and brake pedals are too far to the left, which can cause discomfort during long drives. Additionally, the radio's touch screen is difficult to see in daylight, and there are a lot of blind spots. In my opinion, the Dodge Quality is not up to par with other brands. I would recommend looking at other options and test driving them. Personally, I would rank the Mustang as number one, followed by the Camaro, Genesis, and Challenger.

I read all the reviews and although I dismissed the bad ones, I now realize that I should have taken them to heart. It seems that some people don't want to admit they bought a lower quality product. Unfortunately, these cars can be a pain to deal with. There is a loud ticking noise coming from under the hood (the dealer claims it's the injectors), the transmission slips, and the car is already rusting underneath. Additionally, the low tire pressure light is always on, no matter what. I understand that some may not find this review helpful, but I believe it is important to share my experience with Dodge's quality (which, in my opinion, is subpar).

The car may not be the fastest, so it's important to exercise caution when pulling out. Additionally, it's worth noting that the car may experience a significant drop in value after leaving the lot. I personally had a negative experience when attempting to trade in my car with only 1500 miles, as I was offered significantly less than what I had paid for it. It's something to keep in mind when considering purchasing this car. Thank you for your time!

I have to start by saying that I absolutely love my car! It's a pure white V8 and has a super classic look. However, my experience with Chrysler has been less than ideal. From the moment I drove from Michigan to Ohio to pick up the car, I've had a difficult time with the company. This includes the dealer I picked the car up from and the customer service team I've spoken to on the phone. I've had issues with the electrical system, including the steering, dash, headlights, blower system, windows, and locks. Additionally, there have been problems with the body, including the doors, hinges, molding, paint, trim, R/T badge, and front bumper assembly. Finally, there have been mechanical issues with the transmission and steering, as well as the exhaust. Despite these issues, I remain hopeful that Chrysler will be able to resolve them in a timely and efficient manner.

The styling is awesome! However, I must say that the drive train of this vehicle is the worst I've seen since I started buying cars. I fell in love with the styling, but unfortunately, that love has turned into regret for spending so much money on a lemon.
