The Chrysler Sebring (/ˈsiːbrɪŋ/ SEE-bring) is a line of mid-size automobiles that was sold from 1995 through 2010 by Chrysler. Three generations of convertibles, two generations of sedans, and two generations of coupes were produced. Although the coupe shared the same name and some styling cues, it was mechanically unrelated to the other Sebring models.

The Sebring line was introduced in 1995 with the Chrysler Sebring coupe. It was the replacement for the Chrysler LeBaron coupe. In 1996 the convertible was introduced, replacing its LeBaron counterpart as well. For 2001, both body styles were redesigned and a sedan version was offered, replacing the Chrysler Cirrus. The coupe was discontinued after 2005 with no replacement model planned.

The redesigned sedan was introduced for 2007, and a convertible the following year. New options included all-wheel drive on sedans and an available retractable metal top for the convertible. All Sebring models were replaced by the Chrysler 200 for the 2011 model year.

Summary: MY THROTTLE CONTROL LIGHT AS WELL AS MY CHECK ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON IN MY CAR. I CALLED THE DEALERSHIP AND THEY TOLD ME IT WAS SAFE TO DRIVE AND IT WAS DUE TO COLD WEATHER. THEY MADE AN APPT. FOR ME TO COME IN A WEEK LATER. A FEW DAYS AFTER I CALLED THEM ABOUT THE LIGHTS BEING ON IN MY CAR I WAS PULLING OUT OF A CONVENIENT STORE INTO ON COMING TRAFFIC WITH MY DAUGHTER IN THE CAR ON A BUSY ROAD, I WAS GOING TO TURN RIGHT WHEN MY STEERING WHEEL LOCKED UP AS WELL AS THE BREAKS AND CARS WERE COMING AT US AT 40MPH. MY CAR KEPT ROLLING INTO THE OTHER LANE OF TRAFFIC. I HAD TO PULL THE E-BREAK TO TRY TO STOP ROLLING. I BLOCKED TRAFFIC AND COULD NOT MOVE MY CAR. WHEN I PUT IT IN REVERSE AND DRIVE NOTHING HAPPENED. THE POLICE HAD TO BE CALLED BECAUSE I WAS IN THE MIDDLE OF TRAFFIC. I HAD MY CAR TOWED AND I WAS TOLD MY BATTERY CAUSED THE PROBLEM. THE LIGHTS ARE NOW OFF ON THE DASH BUT MY BRAKES SEEM TO BE PUSHING UP WHEN I PRESS DOWN. NOT SURE WHAT THIS MEANS BUT I DON'T FEEL THE BATTERY WAS THE PROBLEM. *TR

Summary: Chrysler is recalling certain model year 2011-2013 Sebring and 200 vehicles manufactured June 28, 2011, through December 13, 2012; model year 2011-2013 Dodge Avenger vehicles manufactured June 25, 2011, through January 14, 2013; model year 2011-2012 Dodge Nitro vehicles manufactured June 17, 2011, through December 15, 2011; and model year 2011-2012 Jeep Liberty vehicles manufactured June 17, 2011, through August 15, 2012. Electrical over-stress of a resistor in the occupant restraint control module may lead to the non-deployment of the active head restraints during a rear impact collision.
Consequence: In the event of a crash necessitating the deployment of the active head restraints , their non-deployment could increase the risk of injury.
Remedy: Chrysler will notify owners, and dealers will flash the Totally Integrated Power Module (TIPM) or replace the occupant restraint control module, as needed, free of charge. The recall began on November 19, 2013. Owners may contact Chrysler at 1-800-247-9753. Chrysler's recall campaign number is N38.
