For the 1995 model year, the Tahoe and Yukon gained a new, longer four-door model, slotting in size between the two-door models and the longer-wheelbase Chevrolet/GMC Suburbans.
The Tahoe is sold in North America, parts of Asia such as the Philippines, and the Middle East, plus other countries including Bolivia, Chile, Peru, Colombia, Ecuador, and Angola as a left-hand-drive vehicle. The Yukon is only sold in North America and the Middle East.
The Chevrolet Tahoe and GMC Yukon are part of General Motors' full-size SUV family and are differentiated from the similar Chevrolet Suburban and GMC Yukon XL primarily by the length of the passenger and cargo area behind the C-pillar. - Summary: I took my vehicle into sunset Chevrolet in Sumner Washington, in November of 2022 and had them complete the Takata air bag recall on the vehicle. I drove it for a few months and put it in storage. Since the recall the dash is now cracked where the dealer replaced the passenger airbag recall. It was not cracked prior to the replacement. I have talked to the dealer and they are saying they will not cover this. This is a hazard issue and can cause additional shrapnel to come flying at you if the vehicle is involved in an accident. The vehicle was stored in the garage and not driven. The dealer won't even examine the vehicle to see if the bolts were inadvertently overtightened on the technicians side. This is not right and this is something that should be covered. The vehicle has about 88k miles on it. My dash was not cracked at the time of the repair and now it is. This is not right to put me at more risk than what I was at prior to the recall. I read that the Takata airbag recall stated to repair the cracked dashes. Mine cracked after gm performed the recall. This is a hazard and is something that should be taken care of. I am disabled individual.

The contact received notification of NHTSA Campaign Number: 21V054000 (Air Bags) and the vehicle was taken to the dealer who completed the recall repair; however, while driving the vehicle a week later, the contact's wife noticed that the dashboard was shaking significantly. There were no warning lights illuminated. The contact's wife drove back to their residence, where the contact inspected the dashboard and noticed that it was severely cracked on the driver's side behind the steering wheel and on the passenger's side. The dealer was notified of the failure and informed the contact that the dashboard replacement would be at his own expense as the manufacturer would not cover the repair. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and advised the contact that the dealer should have informed them that the dashboard would be cracked prior to the recall repair and after the failure; however, the manufacturer did not provide any assistance. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was approximately 122,500.

I really love this car! I've only had it for a few weeks, but I find myself enjoying driving it more and more every day. When I was shopping for a car, I was considering an 07 Tahoe, but I'm so glad I went with this one instead. Plus, the black color is just fabulous! I've seen some with hybrid decals, but I'm actually glad mine doesn't have them because the gas mileage has been better than our previous minivan. I would definitely recommend this car to anyone!

Great for an SUV! You can expect to average about 21 MPG of mixed city/Hwy. While the hybrid system is smooth, it may not be completely seamless. Occasionally, there may be a clunk when the engine disengages. However, I have taken this truck on every type of terrain, including snow, mountains, and mud, and it performs just as well as any modern SUV. Just keep in mind that it may not be as capable as a jeep.

I bought this car brand new in July 2008 and I still absolutely love it. I haven't had many issues, other than a recent engine light for an emissions problem. It's a very reliable car, and I consistently get 20-21 miles per gallon no matter where or how I am driving. It's a wonderful family car, and I highly recommend it after 50,000 miles!

I've owned several sport cars and SUVs, but this one is by far the best. The ride is both smooth and powerful. After driving a Cadillac SRX for three years, I'm thrilled to have the V8 back, and the gas mileage in the city is even better than my SRX. The truck comes fully loaded, which is fantastic, but I do wish the back door had an automatic control to help my old shoulders. My two teenage daughters think it's really cool, and they love having all the room of a full SUV instead of a crossover. The hybrid system technology is impressive, even though GM hasn't achieved the same gas mileage as other hybrids. The autostop feature when the car is stopped at a traffic light or in a carpool lane is simply awesome.

I recently purchased a 2010 Tahoe Hybrid (my third car) with 130K miles and a 6.0L V8 engine. Unfortunately, after driving it for only 3000 miles, the motor broke down. Cylinder 1 & 6 have no compression and the lifters collapsed. While I usually don't buy American cars, this experience has reminded me why. Despite the truck's immaculate body and interior, I now need to find a replacement motor. It's disappointing that American car companies produce such unreliable vehicles. In my opinion, German and Japanese automakers are far superior in terms of longevity. It's a real shame that American car companies haven't learned how to build cars that last.
