For the 1995 model year, the Tahoe and Yukon gained a new, longer four-door model, slotting in size between the two-door models and the longer-wheelbase Chevrolet/GMC Suburbans.
The Tahoe is sold in North America, parts of Asia such as the Philippines, and the Middle East, plus other countries including Bolivia, Chile, Peru, Colombia, Ecuador, and Angola as a left-hand-drive vehicle. The Yukon is only sold in North America and the Middle East.
The Chevrolet Tahoe and GMC Yukon are part of General Motors' full-size SUV family and are differentiated from the similar Chevrolet Suburban and GMC Yukon XL primarily by the length of the passenger and cargo area behind the C-pillar. An upscale trim GMC Denali sub-model joined the Yukon lineup as the top-of-the-line trim for the 1999 model year; the Cadillac Escalade is a closely related upscale version sharing the same platform. - Summary: Recall #09V154000 should have been performed on my vehicle according to the list of VIN #'s affected, but it never was and I was never notified of the recall. I purchased this vehicle the month before this recall was announced in 2009 and did not start having safety issues until after my new SUV warranty had expired (how convenient). Over the years, I have spent thousands of dollars replacing all kinds of sensors, relays, batteries and various other parts trying to alleviate the unsafe electrical and loss of power issues that this faulty part continues to cause. I have taken this vehicle to my local dealership on countless occasions, complaining that the vehicle intermittently: does not start, the engine suddenly dies while driving on the highway or turning a corner (becoming unsteerable and the brakes won't work), suddenly decelerates, door locks cycle rapidly while driving, the check engine light and other warning lights/alarms come on, headlights and dash lights suddenly shut off, windows or AC stops working, and now the fuel gauge only reads 1/4 tank when I just filled it up. I took the SUV to my local dealer again today, explained the intermittent electrical and loss of power issues and history again and asked why this recall had not been performed or was not scheduled to be performed at any previous time that I had brought the vehicle in for diagnostics or service on these related issues. The service manager admitted that the recall had never been performed, but denied the possibility of the FSCM causing any of these issues, regardless of the recall notice stating they were. He then refused to perform the recall and said I needed to pay $380 to have another diagnostic scan performed. Never scheduling/performing the recall when the SUV was serviced countless times for related safety issues as defined in the recall notice that they never mailed to me and refusing to perform the recall today is a violation of the US NTMV Safety Act and should have consequences!

The incorporation of a CVT on a full size SUV really makes the difference here. It's super smooth and always keeps the vehicle in the perfect RPM range. Although I wish the interior was a bit more modern, my reliability rating is a wash as I have only had the vehicle for a few weeks.

I really love this car! I've only had it for a few weeks, but I find myself enjoying driving it more and more every day. When I was shopping for a car, I was considering an 07 Tahoe, but I'm so glad I went with this one instead. Plus, the black color is just fabulous! I've seen some with hybrid decals, but I'm actually glad mine doesn't have them because the gas mileage has been better than our previous minivan. I would definitely recommend this car to anyone!

This vehicle is a blast to drive, especially considering its size. The handling is great, and the best part is that it lives up to its fuel efficiency claims. At lower speeds, you can really feel the hybrid technology at work, making it feel like you're driving an electric golf cart. Occasionally, there is a slight hesitation when starting from a stop as the vehicle decides which power source to use, but it's a minor issue. The interior controls are user-friendly and easy to navigate. While it may not have all the bells and whistles of other vehicles in its price range, such as programmable seating, heated outside mirrors, and a 6-disc CD player, I still absolutely love it!

We purchased the Tahoe Hybrid to enjoy its comfort, space, and anticipated gas savings. We have truly enjoyed its performance and handling. Although we had some issues with the brakes, they were promptly fixed. We also had the decals removed. The mileage is satisfactory, but it's great in a lot of stop-and-go traffic and on the highways; it averages in the low 400 miles per tank.

I traded in my H2 Hummer for a Tahoe. It's great on mileage and you get what they say. However, the OEM tires are terrible as they slide on dry pavement and even worse in the rain. I haven't driven in the snow yet, but I replaced them with Goodyear Fortera and it made a big difference. The brakes have a little to be desired. The thing I hate the most is that there is no spare tire or jack, which is crazy.

I recently purchased a 2010 Tahoe Hybrid (my third car) with 130K miles and a 6.0L V8 engine. Unfortunately, after driving it for only 3000 miles, the motor broke down. Cylinder 1 & 6 have no compression and the lifters collapsed. While I usually don't buy American cars, this experience has reminded me why. Despite the truck's immaculate body and interior, I now need to find a replacement motor. It's disappointing that American car companies produce such unreliable vehicles. In my opinion, German and Japanese automakers are far superior in terms of longevity. It's a real shame that American car companies haven't learned how to build cars that last.
