I recently purchased this truck and it has been performing exceptionally well. When I first received it, the fuel gauge was on empty, but with just $10 worth of gas, I was able to fill up almost half of the tank. This was a pleasant surprise for me, especially since my previous vehicle, a gas-guzzling Dodge Dakota, would only get me about 1/25 of a tank with the same amount of gas. The S-10 has a smooth idle and runs quietly while driving. It also has great acceleration and can easily reach speeds of 70 mph. The cruise control feature is particularly useful in this regard.

I absolutely adore my truck! It has been such a reliable and affordable mode of transportation for me over the past 12 years. Although I have encountered a few issues, most of them were covered under warranty during the first 36,000 miles. Since then, I have only had to replace the alternator, battery, and U bolts. The truck runs like a dream and burns no oil, making it a fantastic vehicle. While it may ride a little rough, it is incredibly easy to park and provides excellent visibility. The only minor issue I have had was when the radio volume knob fell off, but it was amusing to see that the same thing happened to another driver with the exact same truck!

I bought my S-10 used with only 6000 miles on it. It's a great truck for running errands around town and for light work. It runs smoothly on the highway and I love the extended cab. The only downside is that it rides like a small truck and the seat isn't very comfortable, which can be tough on long trips. I've noticed a peculiar vibration in the motor and it vibrates at stop lights while in drive, but I've driven it that way for 60000 miles and it still runs smoothly on the road. It's not the best in the snow, but adding 100-200 lbs in the box can help with traction.

Hey there! When I first saw the S10, I was really drawn to its exterior looks. However, I have to admit that the interior comforts didn't quite meet my expectations. Despite that, I've had some great experiences with this truck - there have been times where I've really put it to the test and it's come through for me. That being said, during my ownership, I've had some issues with certain parts breaking unexpectedly - like the rearview mirror falling off, the 'fold-a-way' side mirrors breaking, the heater core going bad and dripping antifreeze in the cabin, and the clutch switch. All in all, I've put 112K miles on it and it's been a pretty good ride.

I bought this truck back in 1996 with only 6600 miles on it. Unfortunately, it has had a lot of problems since the day I drove it off the lot. Over the years, I have had to replace almost everything on it, sometimes more than once. While it did have a few minor recalls in the first couple of years, the bigger issues are what really bother me. Now that it is no longer under warranty, it is costing me a lot of money to keep it running. Every time I fix one thing, another problem seems to pop up. For example, I am currently having to replace the rear main seal for the third time- it was already replaced in 1996 and again in 2003. As my first truck, it has left me feeling disappointed. I am now considering a Toyota for my next truck. They make great vehicles that I can rely on!

I really appreciate the way you sit in the truck. It's just the right height and feels comfortable. The manual transmission is also great, with a smooth clutch and easy shifting. While there have been a few issues, such as the head gasket going out at 90,000 miles and the exhaust needing replacement a couple of times, overall it's been a reliable vehicle. I did have a bit of a scare when the side mirror fell off on the interstate, but thankfully it was fixed. The blower switch and turn signal switch have had some problems, but they were manageable. The thermostat also failed once, but it was fixed along with the plug and wires at 150,000 miles. Unfortunately, the head gasket has developed an internal leak at 156,000 miles and will need to be replaced. Despite these issues, I still enjoy driving this truck.
