- Summary: Aston Martin Lagonda of North America (Aston Martin) is recalling certain model year 2010-2015 DB9, 2010-2012 DBS, 2010-2016 V8 Vantage, 2012 Virage, 2010-2016 Rapide, 2014-2016 Vanquish, 2011-2016 V12 Vantage, and 2012-2013 V12 Zagato vehicles. The affected vehicles are equipped with interior door unlocking mechanisms that may not function when the vehicle has been locked from the outside. As such, these vehicles fail to conform to Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 206, "Door Locks and Door Retention Components."
- Consequence: If the doors cannot be opened by an occupant from inside the vehicle, they may be trapped inside, increasing their risk of injury.
- Remedy: Aston Martin will notify owners, and dealers will disable the double locking feature by reprogramming the software, free of charge. The recall began August 10, 2016. Owners may contact Aston Martin customer service at 1-888-923-9988. Aston Martin's number for this recall is RA-01-0021.

- Components: SEATS:FRONT ASSEMBLY:SEAT HEATER/COOLER
- Summary: Aston Martin Lagonda of North America (Aston Martin) is recalling certain model year 2006-2014 DB9, V12 Vantage, V8 Vantage, DBS, and Virage vehicles manufactured July 3, 2006, to November 5, 2014. In the affected vehicles, the electronic control module for the driver and front passenger seat heaters may fail, preventing the seat heaters from being able to be turned off.
- Consequence: If the electronic control module fails, the seat heater could get hot enough that areas of the seat may overheat and smolder, increasing the risk of injury to the seat occupant.
- Remedy: Aston Martin will notify owners, and dealers will install an additional module to the circuit that can interrupt the power to the seat heaters in case the electronic control module for the seat heaters fails, free of charge. The recall began in January 2015. Owners may contact Aston Martin Customer Service by calling 1-888-923-9988. Aston Martin's number for this recall is RA-01-0019.

- Summary: Aston Martin Lagonda of North America (Aston Martin) is recalling certain model year 2008-2014 DB9 and V8 Vantage, 2009-2012 DBS, 2010-2012 Rapide, 2014 Rapide S, 2011-2012 V12 Vantage, 2011-2014 V8 Vantage S and 2012 Virage vehicles. Due to a manufacturing error, the accelerator pedal arm may break.
- Consequence: If the accelerator pedal arm breaks, the engine will return to idle and the driver will be unable to maintain or increase engine speed, increasing the risk of a crash.
- Remedy: Aston Martin will notify owners, and dealers will replace the accelerator pedal assemblies. The recall began on February 11, 2014. Owners may contact Aston Martin customer service by calling 1-888-923-9988. Aston Martin's recall number is RA-03-0017. IMPORTANT: This recall supersedes recall 13V-228. Any vehicle that has been remedied under the previous recall needs to have the current remedy applied.

This car is a real head-turner! It's easy to maneuver on the freeway and can compete with more expensive performance vehicles. However, it may not be the fastest car on the road. The car handles well, especially if you use the paddle controls. When parking, be sure to choose shaded areas as key computer components are located where extreme heat might cause problems. To prevent battery issues when using it as a second car, use a trickle charge. Never try to jump-start the car or hit the trunk button for reserve/non-driving mode. The manual is not the same as the car details. I replaced the computers and such. The location of the GPS screen is not ideal, so it's best to know where you're going so you never need it! Consider upgrading with a backup camera and maybe a forward camera to avoid parking issues. It's a small car that sits low, so be aware. The rearview mirror darkens to a point where you cannot judge traffic behind, and the sun shields are decorative! The windshield hits most vision at a bad spot. If the battery is depleted, do not mess with any seat controls. Take it to an Aston Martin dealer for service. Although insurance is pricey even with a great rating and low miles, maintenance is fairly cheap with a great mechanic.

Hey there! I'm another car enthusiast who recently made the switch from Porsche to Aston. Don't get me wrong, I've had a blast with my 5 different Porsches over the last 10 years, including the latest 997 C2S. But there's just something about the exclusivity of an Aston that really sets it apart. I know there's been some talk about reliability issues, but once you hear that engine revving above 4000 rpm, all those worries just fade away. It's such a cool car that provides a ton of satisfaction, even without the need for speed. No doubt about it!

I have owned several different model Porsches, but my 2007 AM Vantage stands out in terms of looks, attention, and driving pleasure. This car is truly stunning and exudes quality in every way. From the low growl when pressing the start button to the exciting sound when reaching 4000 rpm, it never fails to impress. Some may argue that the 380 horse power engine is not enough, but for a non-racer like me, it has plenty of responsiveness. The amount of positive attention and accolades you receive in driving this car is often overwhelming. I could write a book on the overwhelmingly positive public reaction this car draws.

A car this beautiful and this beautifully made doesn't have to be the fastest in its class. It's very quick, handles extremely well, and is a treat just to sit in. There's nothing quite like it in that regard. It's a thrill just to see it in the garage. And it's a blast to drive.

I recently completed an exciting 18-month journey of test driving all the exotic cars out there, except for Bentley, and I must say that the Vantage emerged as the clear winner. In my opinion, the Aston is pure motoring bliss. It looks, feels, and sounds out of this world, and exudes classiness. I have also been pleasantly surprised by the positive reactions from other motorists and pedestrians. I constantly receive thumbs-up signs and people taking digital photos of the car.

This car has been a bit of a disappointment. On the first day, the clutch went out and it had to be picked up by a flatbed. Unfortunately, the dealer needs it for 10 days and the part has to be ordered from the U.K. It's hard to trust a car again after it strands you, but I'm hopeful that once it's fixed, it will be a reliable vehicle. I did notice that the leather above the speedo/tach is coming off and you can see the staples that hold it down on the underside. It's not exactly what I expected from a luxury car. However, I'm still open to giving it a chance and seeing how it performs in the long run. Although, if you're looking for a more reliable option, you might want to consider BMW or Lexus. They have a great reputation for quality and performance.

I had some issues with the AM V8, such as failing gearboxes, lack of torque, and smouldering clutches. Unfortunately, the technical team at AM did not provide satisfactory explanations for the lack of quality. As a result, I decided to sell the car after only eight months. If you're looking for a reliable car that retains its value, I would recommend a Porsche 911 S with a sports exhaust and the sport chrono option. Although it may not be as visually stunning as the V8, it is faster, more reliable, and more affordable. It's worth noting that the quality issues with the AM V8 may cause its residual value to decrease. If you're considering purchasing a used car, be sure to check its warranty history.

Hi there! I just wanted to share my experience with my 2nd Aston Martin. I have to say, the engine is truly excellent and reliable, which is always a plus in a high-performance car like this. While the road holding is okay for regular highway driving, I did notice that the suspension can be a bit of an issue, especially in fast and tight corners. However, I still think it's a great car overall and I would definitely consider buying one again despite the unsophisticated ride. Thanks for listening!
