- Components: SEATS:FRONT ASSEMBLY:SEAT HEATER/COOLER
- Summary: Aston Martin Lagonda of North America (Aston Martin) is recalling certain model year 2006-2014 DB9, V12 Vantage, V8 Vantage, DBS, and Virage vehicles manufactured July 3, 2006, to November 5, 2014. In the affected vehicles, the electronic control module for the driver and front passenger seat heaters may fail, preventing the seat heaters from being able to be turned off.
- Consequence: If the electronic control module fails, the seat heater could get hot enough that areas of the seat may overheat and smolder, increasing the risk of injury to the seat occupant.
- Remedy: Aston Martin will notify owners, and dealers will install an additional module to the circuit that can interrupt the power to the seat heaters in case the electronic control module for the seat heaters fails, free of charge. The recall began in January 2015. Owners may contact Aston Martin Customer Service by calling 1-888-923-9988. Aston Martin's number for this recall is RA-01-0019.

- Summary: ASTON MARTIN IS RECALLING CERTAIN MODEL YEAR 2007-2008 DB9 COUPE, DB9 VOLANTE, V8 VANTAGE COUPE, V8 VANTAGE ROADSTER, AND DBS COUPE VEHICLES. THE FRONT BOTTOM SUSPENSION ARM CAM BOLT COULD CRACK ALONG ITS SHANK ALLOWING THE LOWER CONTROL ARM TO MOVE.
- Consequence: MOVEMENT OF THE LOWER CONTROL ARM WILL INFLUENCE THE DRIVER'S CONTROL OF THE STEERING OF THE VEHICLE INCREASING THE RISK OF A CRASH.
- Remedy: DEALERS WILL REPLACE THE FRONT SUSPENSION LOWER CONTROL ARM CAM BOLTS. THIS SERVICE WILL BE PERFORMED FREE OF CHARGE. THE SAFETY RECALL BEGAN ON NOVEMBER 11, 2010. OWNERS MAY CONTACT ASTON MARTIN CUSTOMER SERVICE AT 1-888-923-9988.

I've been driving my Vantage since May and I have to say, I like it! Although I'm not head over heels in love with it, I do appreciate its unique qualities. As someone who has driven Porsches for the past few years, I do miss them a bit, but the Vantage has its own charm. While I do think the car could have been a bit wider and a few inches longer, the front exterior is simply gorgeous. The back may not be to everyone's taste, but it has a certain Japanese-inspired flair. In my opinion, the starting price for this car should be around $155,000 after improvements. At $110,000, it's a steal for this category of car!

I have one of the first US Vantage V8s and I must say, it is a brilliant car to drive. In my opinion, it surpasses any 911 that I have driven. The looks, build quality and exclusivity are spot on. Well done AM!

I traded my 2006 coupe for a leftover 2007 roadster and I couldn't be happier. The '06 had several early production problems, which were sorted out by AM nicely. This car, on the other hand, is simply perfect. In my opinion, it looks even better than the coupe and the sportshift (once you get used to it) is even more fun than the manual, allowing for even more aggressive driving on the twisties. The top fits well and the car is quiet with it up. Wind buffeting is not much of a problem top down. I get even more thumbs up and admiring looks in the roadster than in the coupe. This is a very special, very exclusive car. To the best of my knowledge, there are only three in KC and I have yet to see the other two.
