2020 Ram Promaster city problems
The Fiat Doblò is a panel van and leisure activity vehicle produced by Italian automaker Fiat since 2000. It was unveiled at the Paris Motor Show in October 2000. A second-generation Doblò succeeded the original vehicle in 2010 for most markets, and it was sold in the United States as the RAM ProMaster City from 2015 to 2022. The second generation was also sold in Europe and the UK as the Opel/Vauxhall Combo. The third-generation Doblò, a rebadged version of the Citroën Berlingo, was unveiled in June 2022, and is also sold as the Opel or Vauxhall Combo, Peugeot Partner, and Toyota ProAce.
First generation (2000)
It was first launched to the public in the Netherlands, and received the "2006 International Van of the Year" award by an international jury from 19 countries. In Singapore, a 1.4 litre LAV variant is marketed as the Fiat Panorama in five and seven seater versions. The first Doblò was sold in January 2001.
The Doblò carries a payload of up to 730 kg (1,609 lb), with an interior volume of 3.2 cubic metres (110 cu ft). The Doblò uses Fiat Strada's platform, in turn derived from the Fiat Palio's one, using a rigid axle with leaf springs at the rear, instead of a torsion beam with coil springs as on the Palio.
It is manufactured by Fiat's Tofaş subsidiary factory in Bursa, Turkey, in Brazil since 2002 and in Russia and Vietnam. Turkish models have an engine range that includes a 1.4 litre petrol, a 1.9 litre MultiJet, and a 16 valve 1.3 litre MultiJet.
In North Korea, Pyonghwa Motors produces Doblò branded as its own name Ppeokkugi.
The facelift version came in October 2005, and was restyled with modifications to the front and rear light groups, and the total design of the front part.

Common 2020 Ram Promaster city problems
The Ram ProMaster City, a compact cargo van produced by Ram Trucks, has received several complaints from owners regarding various issues. While the search results do not provide specific complaints for the 2020 model year, they do highlight some common problems found in the ProMaster City lineup.
One of the most reported issues across various model years is related to the cooling fan relay malfunction and engine overheating. This problem has been reported in the 2015 model year, with an average cost to fix of $600 and an average mileage of 24,000 miles when the problem occurs. This issue can lead to a significant inconvenience for drivers, potentially causing damage to the engine or requiring expensive repairs if not addressed promptly.
Another concern for ProMaster City owners is related to recalls. This issue can pose a significant safety risk, especially in emergency situations where proper braking is crucial.
The uConnect infotainment system has also been a source of frustration for ProMaster City owners. The system has been known to boot into a blank screen, become unresponsive to touch, or reboot at random times, forcing drivers to turn off their cars, restart, and hope for a better outcome. This issue can be inconvenient and potentially dangerous, especially if the driver relies on the infotainment system for navigation or other essential functions.
Lastly, the uConnect system has been a target for hackers, with reports of hackers remotely taking control of a Jeep Cherokee through its UConnect system in 2015. While this issue is not specific to the ProMaster City, it highlights a potential vulnerability in the uConnect system that could affect any vehicle equipped with it.
In summary, the Ram ProMaster City has faced several issues, including cooling fan relay malfunctions, engine overheating, recalls related to ABS module damage, uConnect infotainment system problems, and potential vulnerabilities to hacking. While these issues are not specific to the 2020 model year, they serve as a reminder for ProMaster City owners to stay vigilant and address any concerns promptly to ensure the safety and reliability of their vehicles.

I've rented this van three times now and, until this current time, I noticed some comfort features lacking. First off, I'm a repair guy and I own an Avalanche truck, which can pack all my tools and pull a trailer no problem. MPG is my problem. So, the first time I rented one was in December of 2015, right after they came out. I also have a catering company and my truck was in the shop. It handled my equipment well and I was pleased. The second time, I had to pack my daughter for college and drive about 500 miles. I got about 27mpg, and that was mostly freeway. This last time, I noticed things that I hadn't before. There is a lack of two armrests, which seems like it should be commonplace, especially for a cargo van. The ability to rest your arms on the door armrest area is just a bit too far away. Your forearm is on it but your elbow is off, and if you shift towards the door, your I rented the cargo version which unfortunately doesn't have second row seats. However, the cargo area has a nice 12vdc plug which is a great feature. It's worth noting that the two plugs in the front are not 'live' unless the key is on, so you can't charge phones, tablets, etc. unless the van is on, which is a bit of a bummer. The standard rims and tires are also a bit weak. I've been searching for a van like this for the past year, but unless the Tradesman SLT has more comfort features, I'm not completely sold. On the plus side, I do like the towing feature, which is not compatible with the Chevy and Nissan but is with the Transit. As I'm on the road all day with a co-worker, these minor details are actually major for me.

Very versatile for a small vehicle, snow handling poor. Turn off your traction control if you're stuck. Center console poorly designed but door bottle holders even the score. Needs a digital speedometer. Radio reception is often spotty. I outfitted with dual locking ladder racks, alot of noise but to be expected. Tow hitch and light connector with a 8in. Lift tow adapter works great. Tows smooth, good visibility with mirrors but tranny shift is prolonged, probably to be expected. Wall mounted tool boxes left and right and a $50 universal rubber mat. Always buy good seat covers and great floor liners(weather tech) for any vehicle you are going to keep. You won't be disappointed!!! Great value and performance. There are over a million and a half European cousins of this vehicle driving around. So it's not really new or untried, just the North American version 2014 to 2015 not so good. Redesigned 2016 to 2017 models seem overall great for the price. Consider the wagon version, even if you want to work out of it. You will get insulation rear seats and a whole lot more options an versatility for a few thousand dollars more. Also bought a full size spare tire with jack and hanger/installation kit for piece of mind, made the dealer pay half. Driving 1110 miles one way in 2 days from now towing a 4x8 harbor freight folding trailer with a 600lb load. Then 20 min to seperate the trailer into two halves that fit into the back of van, preventing me from towing a light/empty trailer 1110 miles back. That's versatility! Smart vehicle saves me gas, repairs and expensive tires for the work truck. Savings comparison to 1/2 ton work truck equal the cost of this van over a 5 year per period. Do the math, you won't be disappointed.

This is a very well-engineered vehicle. As a builder and mechanic of 45 years, I have worked on many vehicles, but this one surpasses any I have owned or operated. I have read the full Edmonds review, and in terms of engineering quality, torque with the 9-speed transmission, and economy, it outperforms previous year's models and makes. Everything works perfectly, and I have had no quality issues with the dealership that sold me my vehicle. Eric Schram, my salesperson at Pinckney Chrysler, got me a smoking hot deal so fast and straightforward that I was in utter shock. He presented their offer and financing on my trade-in deal so simply that I couldn't be more pleased. Even my current lender wasn't able to match their timing and opportunity. Thank you all very much!

Hi there! I hope you're doing well. I wanted to address a small concern I have about this otherwise fantastic minivan. During the day, I'm having a bit of trouble seeing the speedometer and tachometer. Even at night with the lights on high, they're still a bit difficult to make out. I've never had this issue with any other car or van I've owned. However, I can read the items in the info box at the bottom center with no problem. My wife and I are planning to turn this into a camper and go sightseeing, so I'm going to try to find a way to shed more light on the subject. Thanks for your understanding!

I needed a commercial van to carry light loads and/or people from state to state. I was looking for something minivan-like, but usable in a commercial/construction setting. These vans drive great for this purpose, are perfectly capable, and should be one of the most cost-effective purchases I have made for my business.

Although the car has a great look and spacious cargo area, it has been a frustrating experience due to frequent breakdowns. Unfortunately, the Dodge technicians have not been able to identify the root cause of the problem, which has made the situation even more challenging. It seems like there is a need for better communication between the technicians and the repair department. Every visit to the Dodge dealer shop has been an overnight stay, which has been inconvenient. It is important to note that parts for this vehicle are not always readily available. I purchased my car used with only one year of use and it has been in the shop most of the time. Overall, it has been a disappointing experience.

Hi there! I noticed that you're interested in the van with 75k mileage from 2018. I just wanted to let you know that I have some concerns about this vehicle. Unfortunately, it seems that the oil can dry up from the engine before 30 days of service, which can cause the van to stop unexpectedly. I would hate for you to have any issues with it. Thanks for considering my input!

Hello! I hope you're doing well. I wanted to share my experience with my 2017 Ram Procity Master that I purchased from a dealership. As a contractor, I was looking for a more economical vehicle and this one seemed like a good fit. However, after driving it for a little over a year and putting 23,000 miles on it, I've noticed a few issues. The engine seems to consume at least a quart of oil every 3500 miles, which is a bit concerning. Additionally, I've noticed that the padding underneath the passenger seat gets soaking wet every time it rains, and the dealer hasn't been able to figure out why. Lastly, the seat is starting to wear where I normally sit, but unfortunately, the repair isn't covered. Overall, I wouldn't recommend purchasing a Chrysler product based on my experience. Thank you for listening!

I purchased the cargo car for construction work instead of a RAM Truck and was very disappointed. I encountered a few problems: 1. The main issue, which has persisted for the last 30 years, is the integration of the transmission and engine. It feels like a torch and I can't even imagine how difficult it would be to drive on hills in San Francisco. 2. The vibration of the transmission is so high that it feels like I'm using a jackhammer while driving. I took it to the dealer four times, but they only provided insignificant diagnostic results and charged me without any warranty (power & transmission)! The diagnostics took 3-4 days, and the result was visible problems with the engine mounts, which cost me $1350. When the engine wouldn't start, the diagnostic result was to change the motor oil for $90 and so on...

I spent $1400.00 on repairs to the AC system. As per the warranty policy, I contacted the company we bought it from. I am confident that they will respond to my call soon.
