Not only does it rattle to the point of driver distraction, but I would think there is a high risk of shattering during a collision potentially causing facial lacerations, blindness and the like. I really don’t want to wait to find out. According to [XXX] , this is a well known issue with GM trucks, Suburbans and Yukons from 2007 to 2014 and GM has failed to make good on the problem. I CAN EMAIL YOU COPIES OF THESE IF YOU WOULD LIKE. THERE WAS ALSO A PRELIMINARY REPORT/BULLETIN PUT OUT JUNE 6TH, 2020 BULLETIN # PIP5175D WITH ALL OF THESE BULLETINS THERE SHOULD HAVE BEEN A RECALL. REBUILDING WHAT THEY ARE ALREADY ARE HAVING ISSUES WITH IS INSANE. PLEASE CONSIDER HELPING ME WITH THIS. IT'S HESITANT TO CRANK WHEN THIS HAPPENS AND SOMETIMES CRANKS AND THEN IMMEDIATELY DIES. IT WILL SHIFT HARD JUST BEFORE POWERING INTO A REDUCED POWER MODE. IF YOU TURN OFF RESTART TURN YOUR WHEEL ALL THE WAY LEFT AND THEN ALL THE WAY RIGHT AND CRANK IT WILL SOMETIMES MAKE THE LIGHTS GO OFF AND YOU THINK RESET BUT AS SOON AS YOU START DRIVING IT HAPPENS AGAIN. - Summary: WHILE WORKING ON AN AIRBAG WARNING LIGHT I ENCOUNTERED 2 DISTINCT PROBLEMS WITH MY AIRBAG AND VEHICLE SYSTEM. 1. THE MAIN UNDERHOOD FUSE PANEL ON MY VEHICLE HAS PORTION OF OXIDATION ON THE FUSES THEMSELVES. THIS OXIDATION IS CAUSING FUSES TO APPEAR INTACT BUT ARE CAUSING THE CIRCUIT TO OPEN. THIS WAS THE ROOT CAUSE OF MY AIRBAG SYSTEM TO NOT BE OPERATING PROPERLY. 2. WHILE DIAGNOSING THE AIRBAG SYSTEM, I WAS CAUTIOUS ABOUT UNPLUGGIN THE BATTERY DURING ANY TROUBLESHOOTING THAT I WAS PERFORMING. BUT, AT THE END OF THE DIAGNOSIS PERIOD AND ALL MODULES/SYSTEM WERE RECONNECTED TO ELECTRICAL MATING CONNECTORS I RECONNECTED THE BATTERY AND STARTED THE VEHICLE TO COOL THE INTERIOR. THE CENTRAL AIRBAG MODULE WHICH IS LOCATED IN CENTER CONSOLE WAS ALREADY ELECTRICALLY CONNECTED BUT NOT MOUNTED. WHEN THE MODULE WAS MOVED INTO POSITION AND THE MOUNTING POINTS OF THE MODULE TOUCHED CHASSIS GROUND OF THE VEHICLE THE SIDE CURTAIN AIRBAGS AND FRONT SEAT BELT SQUIBS DEPLOYED. IT APPERAS TO ME THAT THE GROUND OF THE MODULE AND THE VEHICLE COMMON WIRE ARE NOT INTERNALLY CONNECTED. THIS APPARENTLY MAY CAUSE A FLOATING CIRCUIT IN THE AIRBAG MODULE THAT WHEN CHASSIS GROUND (EXTERIOR MOUNTING SURFACE OF THE MODULE) HAS A POTENTIAL CHANGE, THE AIRBAGS MAY GO OFF INADVERTENTLY. THE CONCERN HERE IS THAT CORROSION ON OLDER VEHICLES MAY CAUSE THIS CHASSIS GROUND TO BE COMPROMISED AND CAUSE RANDOM AIRBAG DEPLOYMENTS TO OCCUR. VEHICLE WAS STATIONARY. BODILY INJURY COULD HAVE OCCURRED IF OCCUPANT WAS POSITIONED DIFFERENTLY.

IT IS COMPOSED OF A FLIMSY PIECE OF PLASTIC WHICH BROKE AND RENDERED THE DOOR UNUSABLE. THIS IS AN EXTREMELY DANGEROUS SITUATION IF THIS WERE TO HAPPEN AND YOU CANNOT ACCESS THE VEHICLE DUE TO A WRECK OR ACCESS YOUR CHILDREN OR SIMPLY GET INTO YOUR CAR IN AN AREA WHERE YOU NEED TO GET IN QUICKLY. THIS IS A WELL-KNOWN PROBLEM WITH GM ,IN FACT THEY SELL REPLACEMENT DOOR HANDLES NEXT TO THE AIR FILTERS LIKE ANY OTHER FREQUENTLY REPLACED PARTS. I FIND THIS HIGHLY UNACCEPTABLE THAT THERE HAS NOT BEEN A RECALL, IT IS AN OBVIOUS SAFETY ISSUE! WHEN YOU CANNOT OPEN THE DOOR OF YOUR CAR , ONE COULD BE STUCK IN THE CAR, OR STUCK OUT OF THE CAR, TO NO FAULT OF YOUR OWN. THIS ISSUE ALSO HAPPENS WITH THE INTERIOR DOOR OPENING MECHANISM. NOW I LIVE IN FEAR THAT ANOTHER HANDLE IS GOING TO COME FLYING OFF OF MY CAR AND I AM GOING TO BE STUCK SOMEWHERE WITHOUT ACCESS TO MY VEHICLE. I AM AN OLDER PERSON AND CRAWLING THROUGH TO ACCESS THE CAR IS NOT POSSIBLE AND EXTREMELY UNSAFE. I BELIEVE IF A PERSON PAYS IN EXCESS OF $60K FOR AN AMERICAN VEHICLE, THEY SHOULD BE ASSURED THAT SAFETY COMPONENTS LIKE DOOR HANDLES DO NOT ROUTINELY FAIL. PLEASE HELP. THANK YOU.

- Summary: THE DASHBOARD IS CRACKED IN SEVERAL PLACES BECAUSE THE BRACKETS UNDER THE DASH ARE BROKEN DUE TO VIBRATION DURING EVERY DAY DRIVING. AS I SEARCHED FOR A REPAIR KIT FROM GMC, I FOUND THERE ARE THOUSANDS OF GMC OWNERS WHO HAVE THIS SAME ISSUE IN THEIR TRUCK/SUV. THE SUGGESTION THE GMC WEBSITE OFFERS IS FOR THE OWNER TO DISASSEMBLE THE DASH, FIX THE CRACK WITH A HOT STAPLE GUN AND EPOXY, THEN REATTACH THE DASH. I AM SHOCKED THIS IS THEIR SUGGESTION WHICH WOULD INVOLVE UNPLUGGING 3 OR 4 MAJOR FUNCTIONS OF THE VEHICLE. I WOULD ASSUME THIS SHOULD BE DONE BY A CERTIFIED GMC REPAIR CENTER. CONSIDERING THE ENORMOUS PRICE OF THESE TYPES OF VEHICLES, I AM AGAIN AMAZED GMC HAS NOT ISSUED A RECALL TO REPLACE THESE FAULTY PARTS FOUND IN THOUSANDS OF THEIR TRUCKS/SUV'S. *TR

I own a paper recycling company and my customer base is very environmentally conscious. I recently purchased a new Yukon Hybrid that fits our company image perfectly. I have been very pleased with the vehicle's performance, as it has averaged 21.7 MPG over the last 3,000 miles. The car is not only more fuel-efficient, but also quieter and handles better than my previous Cadillac Escalades. I am planning on purchasing two more Yukon Hybrids for my company as soon as the leases are up on the Escalades. Overall, I am very satisfied with my purchase and believe that GM did a great job!

If you are looking for a vehicle with good gas mileage, it may be better to consider a regular Yukon instead of the Hybrid. I was disappointed with the Hybrid's fuel efficiency despite the advertised EPA estimate of 20 City/20 Hwy. Under normal driving conditions, I am only averaging 16 mpg or less. The fine print on the sticker mentions that the mileage may vary between 16-24 depending on driving conditions, which can be quite misleading. It seems that GM's Hybrid technology may need some improvement as it requires the driver to accelerate and brake more slowly than usual.

What a vehicle! It's so much fun to drive. I can even manipulate the truck to run on electric only around the neighborhood, which we've nicknamed the 'stealth mood'. I absolutely love this truck! As someone who has owned 8 new Suburbans, I can fully recommend this vehicle. It's truly awesome!

This is a fantastic truck that has all of the eco-modifications commonly discussed for trucks, including aerodynamic styling, lightweight engine and body parts, and a hybrid drivetrain. The result has been an impressive 23 mpg in overall mileage for a 2WD truck that is both fun to drive and easy to operate. I highly recommend it to anyone who needs and appreciates large trucks. There is simply nothing else like this truck in its size and weight class.

I have owned this car for about a month and I absolutely love it! It's so quiet, comfortable, and great to drive. I'm averaging about 18mpg, which is pretty good. The navigation system is fantastic and the back-up camera comes in very handy. There's so much room in this vehicle and it's an absolute pleasure to drive.

Hi there! I hope you're doing well. I just wanted to share my experience with the Yukon that I bought back in 2009. I was really excited about the hybrid feature and thought it would save me some money on gas. Unfortunately, it didn't quite live up to the hype. I found that it wasn't as fuel-efficient as I had hoped and the build quality seemed a bit lacking. Additionally, the removable third row was quite heavy and difficult to put back in, which made it almost unusable for me. Just wanted to share my thoughts with you!

I purchased this truck brand new on New Year's Eve 2008. Although I have driven it for 7 months and 12k miles, I am disappointed with the fuel efficiency as I am only getting around 17 MPG. However, I am confident that with some adjustments to my driving habits, I can improve this. I have had to take it to the dealer twice for brake issues, but I am pleased that it was covered under warranty. The interior is nicely laid out, but the materials used seem to be of low quality. The driver's seat has ample leg and head room, but it could be more comfortable on long trips. Overall, I am satisfied with my purchase. The truck has a smooth ride even at high speeds of 75-85 MPH. The cargo area is spacious when the 3rd row seats are removed. It is worth noting that the NAV system cannot be used without the radio being on.
