After months of research, I finally purchased the 22’ Volvo XC60. I used to worry about every bad review and analyze every detail, but I realized that everyone has a different experience. My car came with Apple CarPlay and a wireless charging pad. For those who are experiencing disconnection issues, try closing the top and bottom covers to secure your phone in place. Although Sirius is not yet available, having Apple CarPlay in the vehicle is more than enough. If I had to nitpick, I would suggest having a 4-way camera standard on all models. However, I still highly recommend this car. The cabin is luxurious with a simple dash, and I feel safe driving it. I hope my experience can help others who are stressing over their research. For those considering between the Volvo XC60 and the Audi Q5, I strongly advise against the latter. There is currently a class action lawsuit in the making over their gateway problems, and the dealers pretend to know nothing about it which is laughable.

It took a while, but I have grown to appreciate this SUV. After replacing a defective 12v battery and updating my car from the 2.0 to the 2.1 software, the initial issues that were bricking my XC60 B5 were resolved. I found that turning off the automatic software updates, which can be done in the 'check for software update' submenu, has made my car stable. I am sticking with version 2.1 for now, as it has been great on my B5 trim. Although 2.2 is available and includes Apple CarPlay, it was just released and the initial bugs have not been worked out yet. While CarPlay is in high demand, the native Google OS has been great, and the Google map appears on the driver display, which CarPlay currently won't. I recommend finding the software version that enables stability for your car/trim and then turning off automatic updates in the settings. For my XC60 B5, I am going to stick with 2.1 until forced to update or until the blogs indicate that Volvo and Google are aligning better. Aside from the software gremlins, this SUV is comfortable, super handsome in my r-design trim, and feels a touch unique.

We decided to explore Volvo's PHEV option after realizing that other popular brands like Hyundai and Toyota have a $5-10k mark-up. Although the MSRP is still higher, we were thoroughly impressed with the driving experience and smooth ride. The 35-mile pure electric range is practical and convenient. However, we did have some concerns about the Google infotainment system. The lack of Apple CarPlay is disappointing, and the absence of Waze is a major inconvenience for us. The dealer assured us that these features will be available through an over-the-air update by the end of the year. If they are not, we may have to reconsider our rating of the vehicle.

The 2022 XC60 Recharge is an amazing vehicle! The power, steering, braking (including regenerative braking), ride and electric only distance are truly outstanding. We have been able to complete 100% of our local driving on battery alone, thanks to its impressive electric range of 35-40 miles. The driving experience is easily 5-stars. Although the Google Android user interface is just okay, it does integrate common Google apps like Maps and various music options, which is nice. We do hope that Volvo will offer Apple Car Play in the near future. With the upgraded battery, the 2022 XC60 Recharge is highly recommended for both electric only local driving and comfortable, efficient and anxiety-free long distance travel.

I recently purchased a 2022 Volvo XC60 and unfortunately, I have experienced some issues with the vehicle. I was not informed of these issues until after I had already purchased the car and was ready to drive off the lot. One of the most disappointing issues is with the 360 camera. Unlike my previous Audi, the rear camera is the only camera that comes on when backing up. Although the screen is split, the top portion where the 360 camera should be is blank. This means that I have to manually turn on the 360 camera every time I need it, which can be distracting and unsafe. Additionally, I was told that the software upgrade to support AppleCarPlay would be available in about 2 months, but it has not been released yet. While I did receive a software upgrade that gave me satellite radio, there is a bug that requires me to reboot the entire info system almost every time I use it. Despite these issues, I still believe that the Volvo XC60 is a luxury car. I hope that Volvo will address these issues soon so that I can fully enjoy my new car.

I have previously owned three Volvos: a 2014 XC70, a 2018 XC60 Inscription, and currently a 2022 XC60 B5 Inscription. While I appreciate the car's features, I have been disappointed with the Google system. Despite being promised Android Auto, Apple CarPlay, and other updates to connect with my smartphone, I have yet to receive them after three months. Additionally, the car lacks some of the electronics that were present in my 2018 XC60, which is disappointing. Overall, I have mixed feelings about this car and its features.

My prior car was a Volvo XC60 and it was great. I bought the car and the next day issues started. Car would not start, door lock sensors do not work, rear gate lift does not work, the GPS is awful - malfunctions and freezes, the collision avoidance assist system will go on making it impossible to steer the vehicle - happened on the freeway and almost had an accident. Radio randomly turns off, phone wont sync. I have had it in for service 6 times in 6 months and the service advisor said it a problem and many customers are having the same issues. Do not buy.

I purchased the 2022 xc60 for its reliability and safety features. Unfortunately, I have had some issues with the car in the short time that I have owned it. Due to my busy work schedule, I have not been able to bring it in for service as often as I would like. Some of the issues I have experienced include the voice to call feature and radio not working, unreliable GPS, heated seats turning on and off randomly, and the heat not working which caused my car to fog up and become unsafe to drive. Additionally, the battery drained entirely because the car was randomly turning on and off flashing its lights every 8 minutes or so, the tire pressure monitoring light came on but nothing was actually wrong with the tires, and the car even locked my keys inside on its own. I would not recommend purchasing an xc60 in this model year. However, I was informed by a service department representative that Volvo is actively working to address these issues. I hope that they will take the necessary steps to improve the quality of their cars. Thank you for your understanding.

The car looks and drives great! However, I did experience a couple of issues. Firstly, the collision avoidance system activated itself twice on the highway when there were no cars in front, which was a bit concerning. Secondly, when I turned the car on, there was no sound from the radio, GPS or turn signals. I will be returning to the dealer to have the system checked, but I am a bit worried based on other comments I have read on forums.
