This can occur even after the vehicle is turned off, if the engine residual heat function is activated by the operator by pressing the AUTO-REST button on the central control panel." The notice stated further that "THE REMEDY FOR THIS RECALL IS NOW AVAILABLE. Remedy is to replace the external coolant pump and related connection." The notice also stated that "[i]f the manufacturer has failed or is unable to remedy this safety recall for your vehicle in a timely manner, please contact the NHTSA Vehicle Safety Hotline at: 1-888-327-4236 or TTY: 1-800-424-9153 or file an online complaint with NHTSA." Contacted Porsche South Bay in Hawthorne, California regarding the recall notice and Porsche South Bay failed to remedy this safety recall.

We first contacted a dealership about the issue in March 2023, and Porsche has still failed to remedy this problem.

The failure mileage was 50,000.

- Summary: Received a recall notice from Porsche yesterday regarding a potential wiring problem with the climate control coolant pump that, under certain humid conditions, could result in an electrical short and engine fire. In the notice, they recommend “out of an abundance of caution” to “park the vehicle outside and away from other vehicles or structures”. Sounds serious. Called my Porsche dealer in Atlanta to schedule an appointment ASAP to get the problem repaired. The repair parts are unavailable and they don’t know when they will be shipped. Was told that it could be a month or more before they know. My complaint is not the defect (which Porsche identified); but, the manner in which this is being handled. Parts for a defect that sounds this serious should be available before sending ominous-sounding recall notices to customers.

Humidity may enter the external coolant pump for the climate control system and cause an electrical short circuit.
- Consequence: An electrical short circuit increases the risk of a vehicle fire.
- Remedy: Dealers will replace the external coolant pump and inspect and replace the plug-in connection, if necessary, free of charge. Interim owner notification letters informing owners of the safety risk were mailed March 6, 2023. Owners will receive a second notice once remedy becomes available, anticipated July 2023. Owners may contact Porsche's customer service at 1-800-767-7243. Porsche's number for this recall is APA1.

This sedan is fantastic and has real Porsche sport DNA. It's quick and fun to drive, although it may not be the easiest to park in tight spaces. It's also very comfortable for four full-size adults.

Before owning a Panamera, I had a MB C43. I was really looking forward to the switch being a huge improvement in every possible way, but unfortunately, it wasn't. Although the Panamera is a beautiful car, there were a few things that really disappointed me. For example, the entertainment system has some issues. My phone doesn't automatically reconnect with Bluetooth and I have to manually force it. Additionally, the voice commands are quite slow, so if you say something like 'take me home', it takes forever to respond.

Hello! I currently own a 2013 Panamara 4 and recently had the opportunity to test drive an '18 S edition. While it's hard to complain about such a well-built car, I did notice a few things that disappointed me when comparing it to my 2013 model. Firstly, the dashboard is higher and the clock impeded my vision. Secondly, the electronic dashboard was difficult to use with gloves on, which can be a problem in NE Ohio. Additionally, the layout is not as intuitive as previous year models, which had Porsche's long-endured one button, one function philosophy. Lastly, the variable ratio power steering did not seem to work. Overall, it's usually the minor things that disappoint an owner or potential buyer of a $100K+ vehicle. I was surprised at Porsche's lack of attention to detail on this successful model for the car brand. Thank you for listening to my feedback!

I recently upgraded my car from a 2017 Panamera 4S to a Panamera Turbo. While the 4S engine was a bit of a letdown compared to the naturally aspirated V8 of the 2010-2013 model, the Panamera Turbo is a completely different experience. The 4L V8 engine is incredibly responsive and has a fantastic sound. Despite being more powerful, it also provides better mileage than the 4S engine. If you're considering a Panamera, I highly recommend going for the Turbo model instead of the 4S. You won't regret it!
