The Lincoln MKS is a full-sized luxury sedan that was manufactured and marketed by the Lincoln subdivision of Ford from 2008 to 2016. First shown at the LA Auto Show in November 2007, the MKS began production for the 2009 model year at Ford's Chicago Assembly plant in May 2008 with sales beginning a month later. The MKS was the second Lincoln to adopt the "MK" nomenclature and the first model to wear it through its entire production run. With the discontinuation of the Lincoln Town Car in 2011, the MKS at 205.6-inches in length became the longest production sedan sold by an American automaker through 2016.
Sharing the Ford D3 platform with the fifth and sixth-generation Ford Taurus, the Lincoln MKS offered front-wheel drive with optional all-wheel drive (a first in a full-size Lincoln). Shared with the Taurus SHO, the 3.5L EcoBoost twin-turbocharged V6 became the first turbocharged gasoline engine in a Lincoln.
The Lincoln MKS was discontinued after 2016 and replaced by the tenth generation Lincoln Continental.

I recently purchased a 2014 Lincoln MKS with only 18,000 miles and I am absolutely thrilled with it! The interior is stunningly beautiful, luxurious, and comfortable, even compared to my previous Lexus LS460L. The car drives like a dream - it's both comfortable and responsive, and the 3.5 EcoBoost engine is a real powerhouse! I recently did a 200 mile highway drive and was able to average around 29 miles per gallon - amazing! Overall, I can confidently say that this is the best car I've ever owned!

I really wanted a Taurus SHO, but ended up with a deal I couldn't refuse on a base 3.7L MKS. And I'm glad I did! The spacious trunk is perfect for family trips and it's literally ridiculous how big it is. The front of the car looks like a hawk and the back is a cross between a Jaguar and Maserati, which is pretty cool. The car has a normal, sport, and comfort mode for suspension, and you can set it to be full time any of the three in drive. It also has paddle shifters to play in the mountains holding gears or assist with slowing down. I learned that the car really comes to life by dropping the shifter into Sport Mode and letting the transmission do the work. The styling does a great job of reminding you of grandpa's Lincoln you fell in love with and a newer version that is yours. Best of all, it stands out from all the yuppies who bought Beemers and Benzes dealing with all their maintenance bs and ticking time bomb after 100k mile costs. You can't go wrong with any model of this vehicle. The base gets better gas mileage and still gets up and goes in a respectable manner. Also, no premium gas which is a huge savings. I love this car and I'm sure you will too!This car is a hidden gem. It's the flagship vehicle of Lincoln, sandwiched between the Towncar and the Return of the Continental. You should definitely consider getting one while they are still in good condition, cheap, and unappreciated.

We bought this vehicle brand new in June 2016. Unfortunately, we experienced some issues with the car within the first six months of ownership, including recalls for the transmission/engine, gas tank mounting, seats, and steering wheel. Despite taking the car back to the dealer multiple times, we were unable to resolve the issues. However, we are grateful that the car broke down before the warranty expired. Currently, the car is inoperable, and we are disappointed that we have to pay for towing. We have noticed that the recalls are all over the news and internet, except for yours and BBB. We believe that the quality of the vehicle is not up to par, and we are disappointed with the customer service. We previously owned a Mercedes for 30 years, and we were always treated with respect and care whenever we had any issues. We hope that the American auto industry can learn from the European dealers. Thank you for your attention to this matter.

I noticed that the ride can be a bit rough and the steering can be difficult at times. Additionally, I found that the driver's seat could benefit from tilting further down as my legs tend to get numb on shorter trips of around 100 miles. I believe the rough ride may be due to the type of tires used, as they tend to ride harder. Lastly, I think it would be more comfortable for longer trips if the steering wheel had an open bottom. Overall, I hope these suggestions can help improve your driving experience.
