2010 Lincoln Mks problems
The Lincoln MKS is a full-sized luxury sedan that was manufactured and marketed by the Lincoln subdivision of Ford from 2008 to 2016. First shown at the LA Auto Show in November 2007, the MKS began production for the 2009 model year at Ford's Chicago Assembly plant in May 2008 with sales beginning a month later. The MKS was the second Lincoln to adopt the "MK" nomenclature and the first model to wear it through its entire production run. With the discontinuation of the Lincoln Town Car in 2011, the MKS at 205.6-inches in length became the longest production sedan sold by an American automaker through 2016.
Sharing the Ford D3 platform with the fifth and sixth-generation Ford Taurus, the Lincoln MKS offered front-wheel drive with optional all-wheel drive (a first in a full-size Lincoln). Shared with the Taurus SHO, the 3.5L EcoBoost twin-turbocharged V6 became the first turbocharged gasoline engine in a Lincoln.
The Lincoln MKS was discontinued after 2016 and replaced by the tenth generation Lincoln Continental.

STEERING,ELECTRICAL SYSTEM PROBLEM
- Date Of Incident: 2022-07-30
- VIN: 1LNHL9FT5AG
- Components: STEERING,ELECTRICAL SYSTEM
- Summary: The 2011 through 2013 Lincoln MKS were recalled for the electric power steering assist suddenly going out and it is the same on this car and could have gotten someone seriously hurt these need to be added to the recall thanks for looking.
STEERING,ELECTRICAL SYSTEM PROBLEM
- Date Of Incident: 2022-08-26
- VIN: 1LNHL9FTXAG
- Components: STEERING,ELECTRICAL SYSTEM
- Summary: My car will intermittently (more times than not) lose its power steering assist, making it almost impossible for me to drive. I've had the car looked at, replaced the rack and pinion assembly, put on new tires, ran a diagnostic, and the car still lacks power steering most of the time. When starting the vehicle, the wheel will lock up, and the message "Power Steering Assist Fault" displays, no matter how many times I try to restart the car and allow the computer to reset, the fault does not go away. I rarely have times when I can drive with a power steering assist. The car has become a serious problem because I cannot get to work or school safely; when driving the other day, the power steering went out, and I was almost in an accident. I believe that there is a defect in the 2010 MKS, just like there was with the other years that were recalled, the fact that this issue has cost me so much money (and I cannot get out from under the car, I would if I could), and still puts me at risk for serious injury is seriously concerning.

This car is power filled. Sharing the platform with the Ford Taurus, the new Twin Turbo 3.5 liter Ecoboost Engine gives this car a lot of power. The ride is smooth and quiet, and the transmission is good, although not fantastic.
-
The ecoboost MKS is a fantastic mid-luxury sedan that excels in many areas. The combination of performance, comfort and technology is truly impressive. The Ecoboost engine is a gem - smooth and quiet yet incredibly powerful when needed. The high torque at low RPM ensures effortless performance with minimal noise and no need for downshifts. The Sync and Nav systems are flawless and incredibly user-friendly. The adaptive headlights and ambient lighting are also great features. Despite receiving generally positive reviews (except from Edmunds), some people may overlook the MKS due to its lack of a 'luxury' nameplate. However, they would be missing out on a truly exceptional car.

Traded in a 2000 Corvette that got better gas mileage, but was getting some years. I absolutely love my MKS 'quick' engine and it can pass in these WV Hills--almost as good as the Vette. I'm so glad to have an almost all American made performer.
