The Lincoln MKS is a full-sized luxury sedan that was manufactured and marketed by the Lincoln subdivision of Ford from 2008 to 2016. PROBLEM STILL EXISTS AS OF JAN. 5 2016 BUT DEALER STATES THAT IT IS MY FAULT, TOOK TO ANOTHER DEALER AND THE SERVICE GUY SAID THE REASON THE BRAKE PEDAL GOES TO FLOOR IS THAT LINCOLN HAS WHAT HE CALLED A PASS THROUGH BRAKE SYSTEM. WHEN CAR IS NOT RUNNING THE BRAKE PEDAL IS SOLID AND WILL NOT GO TO FLOOR. WHILE I TOOK CAR TO DEALER FOR THIS PROBLEM IN JULY 2015 IT HAS BEEN A PROBLEM FOR SEVERAL YEARS BUT KEEPS GETTING WORSE. BRAKES HAVE BEEN BAD FROM DAY ON WHEN I BOUGHT THE CAR ORIGINALLY THE ROTORS HAD NOT BEEN TURNED AND WERE THROWING BRAKE DUST. DUE TO THAT TURNING THE ROTORS HAD TO BE REPLACED A COUPLE YEARS LATER.

- Summary: Ford Motor Company (Ford) is recalling certain model year 2009-2012 Ford Flex, 2008 and 2010-2012 Ford Taurus, 2008-2009 Ford Taurus X, 2008 Mercury Sable, 2009 and 2011 Lincoln MKS vehicles. The driver frontal air bag may improperly inflate during second-stage deployment in the event of a high speed crash. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 208, "Occupant Crash Protection."
- Consequence: An improperly inflated air bag increases the risk of injury in the event of a crash.
- Remedy: Ford will notify owners, and dealers will inspect and replace the driver's frontal air bag module, as necessary, free of charge. The recall is expected to begin on June 13, 2016. Owners may contact Ford customer service at 1-866-436-7332. Ford's number for this recall is 16C06.

After test driving the Infiniti M and the Acura, I compared them to the MKS and it was a no-brainer - I bought the Lincoln! It's quick off the line, looks great, and the options sealed the deal. I highly recommend this car to anyone looking for great style, a smooth ride, and solid performance with every option. The SYNC system is fantastic and I've even downloaded all of my favorite CDs into the jukebox. The hands-free navigation, radio, and other systems are just the cherry on top. My kids love the dual moonroof and I'm pleasantly surprised by how much I enjoy the adaptive headlights. I added dark tint and it really finished the car off perfectly.

What a fantastic looking car! It's so sporty and luxurious. The acceleration and braking are really impressive, and I couldn't agree more that the AWD is the way to go. The road adhesion is great, and there's very little body roll even when driving spiritedly. Plus, the turning radius is surprisingly tight for such a large car. I absolutely love the radio and Sync!

After leasing Town Cars for many years, I recently leased an MKS front wheel drive. The interior is luxurious and the sound system is excellent. However, I did notice that the rear window visibility is poor due to the headrests blocking a smaller rear window. Additionally, the 6 cylinder engine only gets 13.5 miles per gallon, which is a bit of a disappointment compared to the 18 miles per gallon I used to get on my 8 cylinder Town Car. While the handling is a bit lumbering and lacks agility, it still feels like a beautiful boat on the road.

I'm glad to hear that you found the car to be very comfortable and spacious for your luggage. It's impressive that you were able to comfortably reach 90 mph and still get such good gas mileage, averaging 26.6 mpg for the trip. It's also great to hear that the engine and transmission performed flawlessly in the Rocky mountains. I'm sure the car will continue to improve with more miles on the odometer. Despite the repeated problems with the seats and the car being in the shop for three different trips this month, the dealer fails to recognize the issues with the car just because the computer isn't showing codes. However, it is important to note that codes are not always the best indicator of problems. If necessary, I will explore the possibility of returning the vehicle under the lemon law. I am confident that I will be able to find a satisfactory solution to this issue.

Hello! I hope you're doing well. I wanted to share my experience with the car I bought here in Texas. The seats were a big factor in my decision, and I was really excited about the cooled seats. However, I've been having some trouble with them. The bottom part of the seat gets really cold, but the back of the seat doesn't cool at all. I've taken it to the dealer three times now, but unfortunately, the issue hasn't been resolved. The first time they looked at it, they didn't find anything wrong, but the second time they did make a repair. Unfortunately, the seats only worked well for one day. When I brought the car back to the dealer, they said there was nothing wrong with the seats. I'm feeling pretty frustrated with the situation, but I'm hopeful that we can find a solution. Hi there! I recently purchased a 2009 MKS and while it has a lot of great technology, I did experience some issues with the quality of the vehicle. Unfortunately, there were some problems with the paint on the rear bumper cover seams, and one side of the bumper cover wasn't flush with the 1/4 panel. Additionally, there was a bur/bump on the edge of the trunk by the rear window, some beige splatter underneath the clearcoat on the front fender, and a crooked speaker grille on the front dash. As someone who has owned Acura, Lexus, and Mercedes, all of which were flawless, this was a bit of a letdown. However, the dealer was very helpful and is taking care of all of these issues for me. While it was an additional cost, I'm confident that the end result will be worth it. Thank you for your time!

I purchased this car with 60k miles from a lovely elderly couple and have since put 20k miles on it. While there are some areas for improvement, such as the cloth headliner coming down from around the sunroof and the lack of storage options, overall it has been a reliable vehicle. Unfortunately, the passenger seat control panel recently broke and I have learned that there is a potential issue with the water pump that could be costly to repair. However, I am remaining optimistic and will explore my options.

Hello! I wanted to share my experience of ordering my MKS online in March 2008. I was really excited about it, but unfortunately, due to the color I chose (white), it wasn't going to be in production until Mid-July. It ended up being delayed until Mid-August, which was a bit disappointing, but I was still looking forward to receiving it before October 1st for a planned vacation. It finally arrived around Mid-September, but with 45.3 miles already on it from the factory. While it wasn't the experience I was hoping for, I decided to accept it after a few days. Upon closer inspection, I did find 16 flaws in the paint, which was a bit frustrating. Overall, I had mixed feelings about purchasing an American car, but I'm still glad I went through the experience.
