2022 Land rover Range rover evoque problems

The Land Rover Range Rover Evoque, also known as the Range Rover Evoque, is a subcompact luxury crossover SUV developed and produced by Jaguar Land Rover under their Land Rover marque. The original Evoque was a development of the Land Rover LRX concept vehicle, which was unveiled at the North American International Auto Show in January 2008. The first generation Evoque was produced from July 2011 until 2018 in three and five-door versions, with both two-wheel and four-wheel drive. The second generation of the car went into production in 2018.
First generation (L538; 2011)
Development
The size of the LRX concept vehicle complemented a wide array of efficiency-improving technologies in the form of Land Rover's e_Terrain technologies. These included biofuel compatibility, lightweight construction materials, and technologies such as the removable carbon composite roof panels, regenerative brakes, a stop-start system, along with the ERAD (electric rear axle drive) parallel hybrid powertrain system.
ERAD system
The ERAD system could propel the LRX to speeds up to 20 mph (32 km/h) before the engine was started by an integrated starter generator as part of the stop-start system. ERAD was designed to reduce CO2 emissions by an average of 20% under the NEDC test cycle and was expected to offer another 10% reduction in extra-urban driving situations while also optimizing the off-road ability of the vehicle. Land Rover aimed to achieve 120 g/km CO2 emissions and fuel economy of 60 mpg‑imp (4.7 L/100 km; 50 mpg‑US) on the European combined cycle with an efficient 2.2-litre turbodiesel engine based on PSA DW12. The engine would become the only four-cylinder vehicle in the Range Rover lineup.

Is Range Rover Evoque 2022 reliable?
Range Rover Evoque reliability
That inconsistency was no different between 2021 and 2022, with a 22nd followed by a 14th-place finish, something it retained in 2023. The surprise here is that with Land Rover's close relationship with Jaguar the two brands had such a gap between them.
Are there any problems with Range Rover Evoque?
Unfortunately, it seems build quality can be variable on the Evoque. Most problems centre on the non-engine electrics, especially around the air-con and sat-nav units, with gearbox woes a close second, followed by engine and suspension issues. Automatic gearbox problems on the Evoque are fairly common.

It's great to hear that the car drives and handles well! Additionally, it's fantastic that the transmission has been fixed from the old ones.

One of the best designs in the Compact SUV category. This car is extremely silent on the road and really comfortable. Its size perfectly fits the most common park spaces, making it easy to drive. The luxury finishings mixed with LCD screens make this car special. However, it's important to note that fuel consumption is not the best in high traffic roads and the gear is comfortable for trips but not fast. Additionally, the price is not competitive and many useful accessories remain an expensive extra. Despite these weaknesses, the car has many high points, including its luxury finishings, silent and comfortable ride, and great and classic design that will last for years.

Rides great, and it's packed with technology to enhance your driving experience. Plus, you'll love the comfortable ride!

This is definitely the perfect vehicle for city dwellers! It's compact yet spacious, smooth yet aggressive. This compact SUV is extremely light on its feet... You would never know that it actually weighed in at over 4k lbs.

It's understandable to be hesitant about purchasing a car with negative reviews, but I can assure you that my 3-year-old Evoque is still in excellent condition. The D180 engine provides a satisfying level of speed and fuel efficiency, and I've never experienced any issues with gear shifts. The seats are comfortable and the sound system is top-notch. Additionally, the head-up display and infotainment system are both responsive and user-friendly. The lane keep feature is also a great addition for added safety. Overall, I highly recommend the Evoque for anyone in the market for a reliable and enjoyable car.

I fell in love with the 2020 Evoque as soon as I got an email from Land Rover with a preview of it. I had a 2013 Evoque, with over 100,000 miles on it that I had no issues with. When Land Rover offered the zero percent interest rate, I traded my 2013 in and got my dream car. Unfortunately, it has been a total nightmare. The first year the car was fine, then all of a sudden at around 12,000 miles or so, it began having serious issues. It has been back for repairs multiple times since. In fact, they have had it there since June. The dealership has been great about coming to get it and giving me loaner vehicles, but the corporate office in NJ refused to buy it back. They could not care less about what we have been going through. I am so mad at myself for trading in my 2013.

I recently purchased a 2020 plate Land Rover Dynamic S, but unfortunately, I have been experiencing ongoing issues with my car such as lack of power, loud engine noise, and dashboard malfunctions. Despite my disappointment with the level of service from LR, they have been claiming that there isn't a problem with my car. My car has also had issues with sticking in gear and the engine not starting for 40 minutes, which was a frustrating experience. This is my third car from Land Rover, and unfortunately, all of them have had technical issues that never seem to end. I have had to take my car in for repairs around 10 times or more since 2020. Although I won't be purchasing any more cars from LR, I must say that the satnav sends you in a circle twice. The car's issues have been affecting my daily life, and it needs to go back to the dealership again. I'm feeling fed up and tired, and it's really sad that the car's performance is shabby at times, making it feel like I'm driving an old car. LR needs to address the problems customers are having and be honest, especially since these are expensive cars that customers are purchasing from the main dealerships.

(1st) The Auto-Stop/Start technology automatically shuts off the engine when the vehicle comes to a full stop and starts it again. However, it makes a car ignition sound on every stop, which can be quite annoying. Unfortunately, it is not possible to turn off this feature by default. (2nd) Some of the electrical responses are slow, such as the initial app opening, adaptive cruise control, and parking mode sensor, and there are connection issues with Android Auto. Additionally, the radio turns on automatically after Android Auto is stopped. (3rd) I was disappointed to learn that the garage door opener was an optional feature, as no one had informed me of this. When I contacted Landrover about the missed homelink, they informed me that this option is not available for my model. Overall, I am not feeling very safe with this vehicle and would like to return it if possible.

The engine start and off option can be frustrating as it cannot be turned off due to legal requirements. Additionally, the car can be quite jumpy, especially on hills and slanted streets. After driving for 30 minutes, the suspension can make noise that sounds like rocks underneath the car's tires. Despite contacting the dealer and having them drive the car for 300 miles, they were unable to detect any noise. However, I have captured the noise on camera. Lastly, the audio system leaves much to be desired.

The frequent engine issues caused by the thermostat problem have persisted despite multiple attempts to fix them. As a result, I have filed a claim under the lemon law. Additionally, there have been some minor issues occurring every 2-3 months. It is important to note that the Evoque has been unstable.
