2010 Jeep Liberty problems
The Jeep Liberty is a four door unibody compact SUV manufactured and marketed by Jeep for model years 2002–2012 over two generations, internally designated the KJ (2002-2007) and KK (2008-2012), respectively. Both generations were marketed globally, including as the Jeep Cherokee outside North America.
Introduced as a replacement for the Cherokee (XJ), the Liberty was priced between the Wrangler and Grand Cherokee and was the smallest of the 4-door Jeep SUVs until the car based 4-door Compass and Patriot arrived for 2007. Both generations were assembled at the Toledo North Assembly Plant in the United States and other countries including Egypt and Venezuela. The KK generation was manufactured alongside the closely related Dodge Nitro. Production ended in August 2012.
The Liberty was superseded by the Jeep Cherokee.

Waited for this one. They got it right. Comfortable seats with thigh support. Excellent visibility. Super Selec-trac transmission. Very proud to own this vehicle!

I have a lot of fun driving the jeep. I like the looks of it, the gas mileage is fair. Not happy with having to reach out so far to tune the radio. I love that it has the Aux plug to play my mp3. The upholstery appears to difficult to clean. Recently I discovered a large tear in the carpet on the drivers side floor board. My feet dont touch the area that was ripped, The carpet appears cheap and thin. Not sure how the tear got there, I am not careless with the vehicle, and I have only had the jeep for four months. Tried contacting the dealership about it, and no one will return my emails. I purchased the vehicle from faricy boys in Colorado Springs Colorado

You've got a great overall value!

Firstly, I'd like to share my experience with the Xterra. In 2007, both my friend and I purchased off-road SUVs. While he opted for the Xterra, I chose the Liberty. We have taken both vehicles on some serious off-road adventures, and unfortunately, the Xterra never made it back on its own. On the other hand, my Liberty has been indestructible. It's worth noting that my friend eventually sold his Xterra, while I still have my trusty Liberty. Although some may argue that the interior lacks sex appeal, what truly matters is its robust body and reliable mechanics. In my opinion, the Liberty is a true SUV that stays true to its core.

I recently traded in my 1999 Durango, which I had bought new. Although it only had 87,000 miles on it, I knew that issues were coming up. My family and I are now proud owners of a 2009 Suzuki SX4 Crossover, which we absolutely love. We had looked at the GV and the Equator double cab, but unfortunately, the price was not negotiable. We also checked out Subaru and Toyota, but it was becoming difficult to find a mid-sized, affordable TRUCK-LIKE SUV, similar to my Durango. Surprisingly, we had never considered Jeep before. However, we were pleasantly surprised by the very comfortable front seats and the great driving position. The vehicle sits up high, providing a commanding view. The second row and cargo space are also quite spacious. We were pleased to find that the back seats fold flat and lock! Although the engine seems a little loud, we are confident in Jeep's tried and true engine. Overall, we are very happy with our purchase.

This vehicle has unfortunately required a significant amount of repairs, costing over $8900 in the past year. Despite the investment, it has not held its value and I have been unable to sell it for what it is worth. However, I have taken care of the necessary repairs and maintenance, including new ball joints, control arms, wheel bearings, u joints, tierods, and inner-outter. Moving forward, I have decided to invest in a Toyota for its reliability and longevity.

Although my experience with this government bailout buggy has been disappointing, I must say that the Liberty is one of the few remaining SUVs that still retain their original design. I am hopeful that the vehicle will be fixed correctly in the future, and I look forward to enjoying it more once that happens. Despite my reservations, I believe that Chrysler still produces quality products and I will continue to consider them in the future.

I own a 2010 Jeep Liberty Sport with a full slider window. Although it is a beautiful vehicle, I have unfortunately had to have it towed three times in the past six months due to issues with the on-board computer. As a result, I have lost confidence in its reliability and am hesitant to drive it for fear of it not starting. Despite the dealer's attempts to fix the issue, they have been unable to do so on-site and it has required towing. Regrettably, I am considering turning it in.
Rickey Bartoletti 2024-03-01
I purchased the car just two months ago, but unfortunately, it has already been in the shop five times due to the heat not working properly. I have had some issues with customer service, and unfortunately, I have not been able to reach anyone at corporate. I am disappointed with my purchase and feel that it was a waste of money. I believe that Daimler Chrysler should take the car back as it is the right thing to do, but unfortunately, they have refused to do so. In my opinion, this car is not safe or reliable, and I would not recommend it to anyone who wants to avoid the burden of a headache.

I have owned 3 Jeep SUV's. I bought this one in 2010 with 15k on the odometer. Unfortunately, I experienced some issues with the steering system, tire pressure monitors, transmission, pinion and bearing, windshield washer system, rear hatch door latch, and license plate lights. Over the course of 6 years, I spent about $5k in repairs. While it was frustrating, I am grateful for the lessons learned. I have decided to explore other options and will be returning to Nissan or Toyota, of which I have owned 2 of each, and have had great experiences with almost 200k miles on them. Thank you for allowing me to share my experience with you.
