- Summary: Driving on the freeway. Going 65-70mph EPS (electric power steering) indicator light came on. A message was also sent in inbox of car stating code such as 32 and 61. Steering wheel became stiff and was difficult to steer when car not moving. Went to auto zone to check out if there was any code and there was none. I change to a new battery and check steering fuse everything seem fine with charging system. I did research and found out there was many vehicle like mine that have the same issue. Also, look at Acura forums and some said there was a recall with the EPS. Please help me figure out this issue. Thank you.

- Summary: Check engine Transmission ABS VSA TPMS All lights went on suddenly. While I was driving suddenly all lights came on dashboard. I’ve used OBD scanner to find the root cause but the problem can’t be detected. I went to Acura dealer in NJ and paid $250. They inspected, and said it could be this Instrument cluster or that ECu. But they did not said anything concrete what could be faulty. Both are expensive to replace around $2000-$4000 each The lights comes and goes. These lights are not persistent. I’ve been driving with it. Sometimes when the lights are on AC DOESNT WORK, steering loses control for a second. When it loses control car swerves. It’s dangerous but I’ve been driving with caution ️ In past, electric power steering was malfunction and I had it replaced for $1500. I will never purchase Acura or Honda for lifetime It should be recalled

- Summary: The Electronic Power Steering Component failed in the vehicle. No previous warning lights or problems with steering. Had just parked car returned an hour later and warning light comes on. Fortunately, I was pulling out of a parking place when the steering locked up. Vehicle was towed to Acura dealer and the service advisor stated it would be covered under 15 year extended warranty then called parts to locate part to be replaced. I was called the next morning and told vehicle would be ready by end of day, but a few hours later surprisingly, I was informed the part (Power steering rack) was not covered and the cost would be $3,400. To add insult to injury was offered to have sales appraise my car so they could fix and resell!!! I only have 38,500 miles on my 2012 vehicle and now my vehicle is just sitting. This is a real issue there definitely should be a recall for this. I see numerous complaints regarding this, please investigate this safety issue.

TSB 09-010 is associated with various Honda models up to 2012, but does not include Acura. Car delivers no DTCs for this issue currently. Have not had the vehicle inspected by the dealer for this issue. Following the TSB, the symptom is the same. Replacement of VTC ACTUATOR will happen shortly, in which the part can be available for inspection.

I had to pullover in a parking lot and turned off the engine for a few minutes and the indicator light turned off and I was able to drive home. On 2/11, I was trying to pullout of my driveway and the indicator light went on again and I was unable to move the steering wheel. I turned off the engine and I tried again the next day and this time, the light remained on. I will need to tow the car to the dealership or mechanic to have it diagnosed.

THIS WAS A VERY UNSETTLING/HIGHLY DANGEROUS SITUATION. I HAVE RESEARCHED THE ISSUE AND FOUND THAT THIS YEAR/MODEL CAR SPECIFICALLY HAS A WELL KNOWN ISSUE WITH THE POWER STEERING FAILING. THIS IS ABSOLUTELY A SAFETY ISSUE AND NEEDS TO BE RECALLED. ACURA HAS QUOTED $3800 TO FIX THE PROBLEM! TOLD ME IT IS THE ENTIRE POWER STEERING GEARBOX/ASSEMBLY WHICH IMPLIES IT'S SOMETHING LIKE A WORN OUT MOTOR , HOWEVER THE ISSUE IS INTERMITTENT AND USUALLY DISAPPEARS ONCE THE CAR HAS FULLY COOLED DOWN, AT LEAST UNTIL IT HAS HEATED UP AGAIN AT WHICH POINT IT WILL SUDDENLY HAPPEN AGAIN AT ANY TIME (TYPICALLY AFTER AN HOUR OR TWO AT MOST). THE FACT IT IS AN INTERMITTENT ISSUE WOULD SUGGEST IT IS A COMPUTER RELATED PROBLEM/WIRING PROBLEM - AKA ; DEFECTIVE PART . CAR HAS ONLY 105K MILES AND HAS NEVER BEEN MISTREATED NOT HAD ANY DAMAGE SUSTAINED NOR HAVE ANY SERIOUS POTHOLES BEEN HIT. APPARENTLY ACURA IS REPAIRING PROBLEMS WITH THE EPS UNIT UNDER A LIFETIME WARRANTY FOR THAT SPECIFIC PART, BUT NOT THE STEERING GEARBOX. SO THEY CLEARLY RECOGNIZE THE DEFECTIVE NATURE OF THE POWER STEERING IN THIS MODEL/YEAR CAR BUT WANT TO MINIMIZE THE COST TO FIX THE PROBLEM BY ONLY WARRANTING THE CHEAPER OF THE POSSIBLE POWER STEERING ISSUES TO FIX WHILE LEAVING ANY OTHER ISSUES UP TO THE OWNER TO PAY OUT TO FIX. - Summary: Honda (American Honda Motor Co.) is recalling certain 2009-2014 Acura TSX, 2011-2014 TSX Sport Wagon, 2010-2013 ZDX, 2008-2012 Honda Accord, 2010-2011 Accord Crosstour, 2006-2011 Civic and Civic Hybrid, 2008-2010 Civic GX NGV, 2012-2015 Crosstour, 2007-2011 CR-V, 2009-2013 Fit, 2014 Fit EV, 2010-2014 Insight, and 2009-2015 Pilot vehicles. The vehicles are equipped with passenger frontal air bag inflators assembled as a recall remedy part or replacement service part, that may explode due to propellant degradation occurring after long-term exposure to high absolute humidity, temperature and temperature cycling.
- Consequence: An inflator explosion may result in sharp metal fragments striking the driver or other occupants resulting in serious injury or death.
- Remedy: Honda will notify owners, and dealers will replace the passenger frontal air bag inflator, free of charge. The recall began August 12, 2019. Owners may contact Honda customer service at 1-888-234-2138. Honda's numbers for this recall are F5F and Q5E.

Our 2012 Acura TSX with a 280-hp, 3.5-liter, V6 engine (same as the TL) is a rare find. Although there are only three available in Florida at this time, they come in limited colors (do you like silver?) and customers cannot order from the factory at this time. Unfortunately, nature's calamities to Acura/Honda plants in the Pacific rim have caused a shortage of this model. We traded our 2011 TSX, which was a beautiful piece of work and fun to drive, for this model. We also own a 2007 Acura TL, which we will continue to cherish as it has low mileage, is garaged nightly, and its aesthetics are more pleasing to us than the current model. We waited for a new TL exterior, a design which, being on the cutting edge, would take other manufacturers a few years to replicate, but this new Crystal Black Pearl with Ebony interior TSX is just gorgeous. Along with certain other unmentionable devices, it will blow your hair back. It's the true sports sedan I've always longed for. Although some may classify it as an entry-level luxury car, I know better.

TSX and TL are the best cars out there! I personally own every generation of TSX and TL, and I absolutely love them! My Acura vehicles have more than 200k miles on them and they still run like a dream. All I do is change the oil and transmission oil.

The 2012 Acura TSX Wagon is such a unique and eye-catching car! It's not every day that you come across one, unless you're lucky enough to own it. My car came equipped with Continental VikingContact Winter Tires, which are doing a great job in January. Although I know they won't last until Autumn if I leave them on, I'm still enjoying them while they last. While I would have preferred the 6-cylinder version, the 4-cylinder is still great and gets better gas mileage. I'm not racing anyone, so it's perfect for me. The TPMS warning comes on every time I start the car, but it's just a minor quirk that I can live with. I'm really looking forward to enjoying this vehicle for the next 5 years!

I own the Red TSX SE and I absolutely love it! It's reliable, beautiful, and affordable. Although the power steering system broke a few years ago, the dealership covered all the repairs when I had it towed back. I have no plans to replace this car anytime soon!

I purchased this car last December and after two weeks of driving, I noticed a whistling noise coming from the dash. The noise only occurred when the AC was on and the car was in motion. It was a high-pitched noise that came and went in intervals of seconds, which was very annoying. I contacted the dealer, who was great and did everything in their power to fix the issue. It took three attempts to identify the problem, but finally, they heard it. To cut a long story short, my car was out of commission for 60 days, 30 of which were consecutive. The dealer replaced the expansion valve and evaporator, performed a recovery/vacuum/charge of the system, and even replaced the Bluetooth as it was not working. After several phone calls and sending letters, the issue was finally resolved.

The TSX is a great luxury car, but unfortunately my experience with Acura of Ocean has been disappointing. The service at this New Jersey dealership could use some improvement. I found them to be a bit difficult to work with and not very attentive to my needs. Unfortunately, my car broke down on the Garden State Parkway just 24 hours after a very expensive service. It turned out to be a dead battery, which was supposed to have been checked during the service. This experience has left me feeling frustrated and disappointed. I hope that Acura of Ocean can improve their service in the future.
