Common Jaguar Xf 2022 problems
The 2022 Jaguar XF has not been on the market long enough to accumulate a significant number of owner complaints or reported problems. However, there are some potential issues that may arise based on the car's design and previous model years.
One potential issue is related to the engine and fuel system. The XF's engine may consume more fuel than other cars in its class, leading to higher running costs over time. This is not necessarily a "problem" per se, but it is something to consider when comparing the XF to other luxury midsize cars.
Another potential issue is related to the car's electronics and software. The XF's infotainment system and other electronic features may be prone to glitches and bugs, which can be frustrating for drivers and passengers. Additionally, the car's complex electrical systems may be more susceptible to failure or malfunction, which could lead to costly repairs.
The 2022 Jaguar XF's reliability rating is 3.0 out of 5.0, which ranks it 22nd out of 31 for luxury midsize cars. The average annual repair cost is $1,066, which means it has poor ownership costs. While the frequency of repairs is higher than normal, the severity of those issues is average, so your XF may have a few more shop visits when compared to other models.
It's important to note that these potential issues are based on previous model years and general trends in the automotive industry. The 2022 Jaguar XF may not experience these issues at all, or they may be addressed through warranty repairs or software updates. However, it's always a good idea to be aware of potential issues when purchasing a new car, especially if you plan to keep it for several years.
In terms of recalls, the 2022 Jaguar XF has one known recall related to the front seat belt pretensioners, which may not work properly in an accident. This is a serious safety issue that should be addressed as soon as possible if your XF is affected.
In summary, while the 2022 Jaguar XF has not yet accumulated a significant number of owner complaints or reported problems, there are some potential issues to be aware of based on previous model years and general trends in the automotive industry. These include issues related to the engine and fuel system, electronics and software, and overall reliability. Additionally, it's important to be aware of the car's one known recall related to the front seat belt pretensioners.

Will there be a 2022 Jaguar XF?
The 2022 Jaguar XF is a satisfying luxury sedan that's actually more affordable than many of its upper-crust competitors. Unlike the Jaguar, neither the Audi A6 or BMW 5-series have a price tag that starts with a four, which makes the XF a strong value proposition.
How good is the Jaguar XF?
The Jaguar XF comfortably undercuts all its main rivals, including the Audi A6, BMW 5 Series and Mercedes E-Class. That's rather impressive when you consider how well equipped it is as standard. Resale values aren't as strong as its key competitors, though, so it will lose its value quicker.

POWER TRAIN,ENGINE PROBLEM
- Date Of Incident: 2023-03-04
- VIN: SAJBL4GX6NC
- Components: POWER TRAIN,ENGINE
- Summary: Car stalls and jumps out of gear at takeoff leaving us in the middle of the intersection having to turn the car off and restarting it as cars are trying to go around, also car accelerates too high rpm when taking off at low speed
STEERING PROBLEM
- Date Of Incident: 2022-09-28
- VIN: SAJBG4FX8NC
- Components: STEERING
- Summary: My car pulls to the right very hard where I have to hold the steering wheel with both hands. It also pulls to the left very hard and again I have to hold the steering wheel with both hands. It's not out of line. It feels as though its in the power steering which I am a bit concerned. I think it's dangerous to drive. I tried to make an appointment with Jaguar Dealership Service and can't get in until the latter part of next week plus they don't have a loaner which I need. Its a new car (2022) so I feel we should not be having these problems.

Great handling, very good cargo capacity. Original Pirelli tires were a bit noisy, so I went with Continental DSW for the second set. They are much quieter and provide a better ride with minimal handling degradation. After a thorough read of the manual, the control interface became much less confusing than it initially seemed. This vehicle is very rare, and people ask about it and admire it every day! I highly recommend it!

It's really beautiful and luxurious, accelerates really well, and is fun to drive. It has great details, but it's worth noting that the steel calipers may rust a bit if you live in the Midwest.

I'm so glad to hear that you're very happy with your 2018 Jaguar XF!

I recently finished my lease with a 2017 XF (which I previously reviewed) and decided to switch to a different 2017 XF due to my wife's preference for Mercedes-Benz. This one has AWD, unlike my previous RWD model, and comes in a beautiful Cesium blue color with an Oyster interior. Although the dealer experience was not the best, the car itself has been absolutely fabulous. I have noticed that the Oyster interior shows smudges more easily than the black interior of my previous car, but it still looks great overall. Based on my initial impressions, it seems that the previous owner took good care of the car. I will provide updates as necessary.

We absolutely adore our Jaguar 2018 XF Sportbrake Wagon and would definitely buy another if they were still in production. Robert in the service department at Treasure Coast Jaguar is simply phenomenal.

The computer takes a while to load navigation and audio, and the Auto Start/Stop feature can feel a bit like the car has stalled. It would be great if this feature could be disabled permanently by the user, rather than just per trip. Additionally, it would be helpful if there was a locking mechanism to secure the fuel door (in the United States) to prevent anyone from siphoning gas or contaminating it. The music can take a minute or more to start, and entering an address into the navigation can take several minutes. Lastly, the backup camera has a warning banner on the screen that can block the view for a moment when backing out of driveways or parking spaces. Despite these issues, the car is beautiful and drives nicely, with plenty of power. However, I have yet to achieve the minimum listed gas mileage.

I've had my Jaguar SF S for just over a year now. Unfortunately, I've had to take it to Jaguar Fort Lauderdale on five separate occasions for the same issue. Whenever it rains heavily, my rear door retains about a gallon of water, and despite leaving my car in the shop for longer periods, the problem has never been fully resolved. On the second occasion, they even drilled a hole in the interior of the door, which has never been patched up. Whenever I call corporate to ask what can be done, I'm informed that they'll do their best to fix it within the terms of my warranty, and that I have no other recourse. I'm disappointed that the issue hasn't been resolved within the first four attempts. However, I must say that Ken Serra has been an excellent help to me each time I've visited. If it wasn't for him, I would have sold my car and gone to a different dealer/make a long time ago. I'm hoping that the fifth time will be the charm, as missing work to drop off my car is becoming tiresome.

I would give this car a solid 4+ stars, except for one thing I just can't overlook. Especially since it's almost caused me some minor accidents. There is a mandatory idle engine stall built in, which I assume someone thought would save gas mileage. Unfortunately, it seems that it's always on upon starting the engine and is ultra-sensitive, stalling the engine almost immediately upon coming to a stop at a light or even a stop sign. Aside from it being ridiculously annoying and continually adding strain on systems such as oil pressure issues upon engine starting and such, it has also proven to be a safety hazard. It turns itself off while you are navigating into a tight parking spot! So, I would advise against buying a late model Jaguar if you live in a big city where parallel parking is required. Several times now, I have used the parking sensors to carefully guide myself into a tight spot, gradually inching a little closer and closer to the other vehicle in front of me, and voila - the darn engine shuts off right in the middle! You have to fully remove your foot from the brake to get it to restart, only now the frontal parking sensor has turned off, and as the car auto restarts, it can jump forward a bit, bumping you right into the car in front of you that you were carefully inching close to. It would be great if they could provide a way to optionally turn and keep it off for the sake of safety (not to mention the extreme annoyance it brings). This, in itself, is reason enough for me not to buy a Jaguar until they fix this.
