I could have lost my life that day with that car doing this and someone else can lose their life if this happen to them if you all don't make Jaguar fixed this problem, if it already hasn't happen to someone. I reported this problem to Jaguar today and they sound like they weren't interested in what I was telling them. They said they would open and case and they will close it. Do that make sense to you to open a case and close it?

IN THE DOCUMENT I'VE ENCLOSED, YOU'LL SEE THAT MY VEHICLE HAD THE EXACT SAME ISSUE WITH THE OIL LEAK AND CRACKED FUEL TANK FLANGE THAT OTHER CARS WERE RECALLED FOR IN 2012. I INITIALLY NOTICED A STRONG FUEL SMELL IN MY GARAGE AFTER TURNING THE CAR OFF AND CLOSING THE GARAGE DOOR ABOUT 1 WEEKS AGO. MY NEXT DOOR NEIGHBOR ALSO COMPLAINED THAT SHE SMELLED THE GAS FUMES IN HER HOUSE LAST WEEK, BUT NOTICED THAT THEY WENT AWAY AFTER I REMOVED MY CAR FROM THE GARAGE AND PARKED IT OUTSIDE. I CHECKED JAGUAR'S WEBSITE AND ASKED MY JAGUAR SERVICE ADVISOR IF THERE WAS A RECALL ON MY VEHICLE BECAUSE I'D PREVIOUSLY READ ABOUT THE FUEL TANK FLANGE RECALL, BUT BOTH SOURCES DID NOT CONFIRM A RECALL ON MY CAR. I CALLED JAGUAR THIS MORNING WHILE AT THE DEALERSHIP WAITING FOR MY CAR TO BE SERVICED, AND WAS TOLD THAT THEY RECALL WAS VIN SPECIFIC & IT WAS INDEED FOR THE SAME EXACT ISSUE I HAD FIXED TODAY. THE REPAIRS WOULD BE PERFORMED BY THE INDEPENDENT MECHANIC. THE DEALER STATED THAT THERE WAS NO RECALL ON THE VEHICLE. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT CONTACTED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 74,124.

- Summary: IT STARTED OFF AS A SMALL COOLANT LEAK BUT AFTER SPOTTING COOLANT ON THE OVERFLOW HOSE, I NOTICED A CRACK IN THE PLASTIC HOSE. REPLACING THAT HOSE DIDN'T STOP THE PROBLEM; COOLANT KEPT LEAKING AND I HAD TO BUY ANOTHER BOTTLE. I THEN BROUGHT MY CAR TO A MECHANIC WHO PRESSURE TESTED IT AND SAID THE WATER PUMP NEEDS TO BE REPLACED. HE REPLACES IT FOR $734, WE PRESSURE TEST IT, ALL SEEMS GOOD. A COUPLE DAYS LATER I START LEAKING A LARGE AMOUNT OF COOLANT AGAIN SO I PURCHASE A NEW BOTTLE OF COOLANT JUST TO GET HOME. THAT NIGHT I RESEARCH 2012 JAGUAR WATER PUMP ISSUES AND SEE THAT THIS IS A VERY KNOW MAJOR DESIGN FLAW AND USE OF CHEAP PLASTIC AFFECTING LOTS OF OWNERS. THE WATER PUMP FAILS REGULARLY AND THE PLASTIC CROSSOVER PIPE JUST BURSTS AT THE SEEMS. I HAVE A FAMILY FRIEND PURCHASE AND REPLACE THIS, ANOTHER $502. AFTER ANOTHER COUPLE DAYS I SMELL COOLANT YET AGAIN AND NOTICE A SMALL DRIP. THIS TIME IT'S THE WATER PUMP BLEEDER HOSE. I PURCHASE THE NEW UPDATED PART WHICH IS NOW 2 PARTS INSTEAD OF ONE AND SPEND ANOTHER $419 TO REPLACE IT. NOW THIS ALL IS HAPPENING AT THE ABSOLUTE WORST TIME EVER. THIS ISSUE STARTED WHILE MY WIFE WAS 8+ MONTHS PREGNANT. THE UNCERTAINTY OF WHEN THE CAR WOULD LEAK OR GOD FORBID OVERHEAT ON THE WAY TO THE HOSPITAL HAD ME VERY NERVOUS AND UPSET. THIS WAS A MAJOR SAFETY ISSUE. NOW I KNOW THE CAR WAS OUT OF WARRANTY BUT AFTER DOING A LOT OF RESEARCH ON THIS, I FEEL THAT THE WATER PUMP AND CROSSOVER SHOULD HAVE BEEN RECALLED DUE TO THE KNOWN FLAWS AND ALMOST CERTAIN FAILURE. AT THE VERY LEAST I SHOULD HAVE BEEN NOTIFIED AS AN OWNER THAT THIS HAPPENS TO THE CAR AS I AM SURE YOU WERE AWARE OF ALL THE FIXES BEING DONE AT RETAILERS AND BY THE MULTIPLE PRODUCT UPGRADES. I FOUND OUT THAT OTHER VEHICLES WITH DIFFERENT VIN #S WERE IN FACT RECALLED.

THERE WAS AN ACCOMPANYING BURNING SMELL AT THIS TIME, PROBABLY ATTRIBUTABLE TO BRAKE FLUID BEING SPRAYED ONTO HOT ENGINE/EXHAUST COMPONENTS. THERE WAS NO USEFUL PARTIAL BRAKE ACTION AT THIS TIME. THE CAR WAS TOWED TO JAG DEALER. NO FLUID IN RESERVOIR, LEFT FRONT BRAKE HOSE HAD LOST INTEGRITY. DEALER REPLACED BRAKE HOSE, FILLED AND BLED SYSTEM. DEALER PROVIDED FAILED HOSE TO OWNER FOR EXAMINATION. AFTER PRESSURIZING THE HOSE WITH VERY LOW PRESSURE AIR IT WAS EVIDENT THAT THERE WAS A COMPLETE FAILURE OF THE SWAGE CONNECTION OF THE HOSE AT THE CALIPER END FITTING. THE HOSE HAS BEEN DISPLACED FROM THE FITTING, AND AIR CAN BE MADE TO ESCAPE FROM THE FITTING/HOSE CONNECTION SIMPLY BY BLOWING INTO THE OTHER END OF THE HOSE. PHOTOS ATTACHED.

The 2012 XF has been a trouble-free joy to drive, with excellent handling, comfortable seating, and tremendous acceleration. It's a beautiful car, and even though I bought it used, I've already put 1800 miles on it without any issues whatsoever.

I tried the BMW 5, Mercedes E, Lexus, and Infinity, and while they were all decent cars, the problem is that wherever you go, there are 20 cars just like yours. However, with the XH, it's a different story. I absolutely love this car! It's fun to drive, yet nice enough to take out clients. The super sexy styling is definitely not boxy, and it's certainly not the old boring Jaguar. The startup sequence is fantastic, making it possibly the best car I have ever been in. I would highly recommend this to anyone who is tired of the same old same old.

I test drove all the competing vehicles in this class, including the A-6 and the BMW 5 series. I must say, no other vehicle had the same level of trim, performance, and outright fun factor for anything close to the price. Although it does not have a 4-wheel drive option, which can be an issue in the Northeast, especially this past winter, I would not trade it for any of the 4-wheel drive options out there.

I researched luxury cars in the 50-60K range, including models from MB, BMW, Lexus, Audi, Jaguar, and more. After test driving the Jag and the Audi, I found the Jag to be truly exceptional. As one automotive reviewer put it, this car is like the beautiful cheerleader with a naughty side. When you step on the gas, it just goes and goes and keeps going. Plus, everywhere I go, people have to do a double take because it's such a stunning car. I was pleasantly surprised to find that this car already has everything I need, and more. In my opinion, the German counterparts could learn a thing or two from the Brits. When I priced out a BMW and MB that started around 50K, by the time I added all the extras (which was just about everything), the car was well over 60K.

I always dreamed of owning a Jaguar since I was a little kid. However, I have been quite disappointed with my recent purchase. Unfortunately, the brakes squeak all day long, which can be quite annoying. Additionally, the cost of replacing them every 10k miles can be quite expensive, ranging from $600 to $1,000. The electronics are also not up to par, and it can be frustrating to deal with. Although it's hard to give specifics, it feels like it's running on an old version of Windows 98. Lastly, I wouldn't recommend getting satellite radio installed as it tends to go out every 3 minutes. Despite these issues, I still appreciate the sleek design of the car.

UPDATE: Finally got rid of the car!!! The car had developed leaks through the windshield and for several months, Jaguar kept fixing and replacing many parts of the car, claiming one thing after another was leaking. After 6 months of trying to fix the leak, they finally looked at the windshield and confirmed that the leaks were indeed coming from there. By then, the car had gotten so badly damaged due to water that my insurance company took the car off our hands, and we didn't have to go through the hassle of selling it. During all this time, the dealership provided us with a loaner - initially a small Hyundai, and then after I made some noise, an equivalent Jag. Often we waited days or weeks to get simple repairs done. They would give me an appointment, and then take 3 days just to take a look at the car, and then wait weeks for parts to arrive. In fact, our insurance company had better follow-ups with us on the repairs than the dealership did. I finally had to meet with the GM of the dealership to discuss the situation, and even sent them an invoice for MY time lost coming in to the dealership and chasing after them. While we loved driving the Jag, the experience of owning one was not worth it. We ended up buying a Porsche and a Tesla, and it has been an amazing experience - great customer service, and fantastic drives. The Porsche is better than the Tesla, though the Tesla has its plusses. OLD REVIEW: We've now owned this car, bought new, for 3.5 years, and have under 18,000 miles on it. By now, a significant portion of the car has been replaced by Jag - including several internal lights, the entire fuel system, parts of the audio system, and most recently all the carpeting and even the front seats.....and they're still not done!!! There's still more they need to work on. And even that's not the worst part. What is absolutely the worst is the level of customer service.Take the car in for work, and then I have to follow up for an update. It typically takes 6-8 weeks to get replacement parts, and involves several follow ups. It's surprising that they are still in business.

I have experienced several issues with my Jaguar XF, including problems with the water pump, fuel pump, computer system, trunk release, motor mounts, and transmission mounts. Despite spending thousands of dollars on repairs, I have been disappointed with the overall performance of the vehicle. However, I am confident in my decision to not purchase another Jaguar in the future. It is worth noting that my previous 03 S Type was a perfect car.

Hey there! I wanted to share a scary experience I had recently. I was driving my car out of the Audi dealership when my Jaguar XF S suddenly lost all power after just 17 miles. Unfortunately, I was in the middle of the freeway when it happened and to make matters worse, the car caught fire just seconds later. It was a pretty scary situation, but thankfully I was able to get out of the car safely.

Hi there! I hope you're doing well. I wanted to share my experience with this car that I bought in August of this year. It's a beautiful car, but unfortunately, it's been in the shop twice already. I've been having some trouble with the car holding a charge, and even after just 3 or 4 days of not being driven, it won't start. The dealership has been trying to figure it out, but so far, no luck. Some of the possible causes they've given me don't really make sense. If you're considering buying this car, I would recommend asking others who have one before making a decision.
