The Honda HR-V is a subcompact crossover SUV (B-segment) manufactured and marketed by Honda over three generations.
The first generation HR-V was based on the Honda Logo. It was marketed from 1999 to 2006 in Europe, Japan and select Asia-Pacific markets – and featured three doors (1999–2003) or five doors (1999–2006). The two configurations were internally designated GH2 and GH4 respectively.
After a seven-year hiatus, Honda reintroduced the nameplate for the second generation HR-V, based on the third-generation Honda Fit. Production began in late 2013 for the Japanese domestic market as the Honda Vezel (Japanese: ホンダ・ヴェゼル, Hepburn: Honda Vezeru), while production started in 2015 for North America, Australia, Brazil and select Asian markets as the HR-V. Apart from Japan, the model is also sold as the Vezel in China.
For the third-generation model, the nameplate is split between two different vehicles, one for the global market (sold as the Vezel in Japan), and a larger model based on the eleventh-generation Civic destined for North America and China. The latter model is sold outside those markets as the Honda ZR-V.
According to Honda, the name "HR-V" stands for "Hi-rider Revolutionary Vehicle", while the name "Vezel" is coined from "bezel", the oblique faces of a cut gem, with the "V" for "vehicle".

- Summary: The component on the right of the dash regularly does not display anything which includes fuel level, odometer/mile range, temperature, and time among other information. This has been occurring for over a year. My two biggest issues are that I can't see how much gas I have left and that the odometer isn't always viewable. The gas tank is a constant issue because I worry about getting stranded somewhere because I didn't know. You have to be incredibly careful to catch the display on the occasion it does turn on and guess as to when you need to refuel because most of the time you can't see it on the dash. The odometer is the other issue. When getting my car serviced, I've had workers unable to read the odometer and this could be a huge issue with the DMV if they can't read my mileage. I won't be able to register my car if they need to inspect my car including for an emission test. My car will fail because the dashboard doesn't display correctly.

Hey there! This vehicle is really comfortable, although it might be a bit lacking in horsepower.

It’s a great option price wise if you're looking for a size upgrade from a civic but don’t need as much space as a standard SUV. The back seat comfortably fits two car seats. The standard Bluetooth and back up camera are so nice. The rear seats are split and fold down, which is great for grocery shopping or packing a stroller. It has decent rear space even with the back seats in use. Our family of four really enjoys this car's comfort and safety.

I recently upgraded from a twelve-year-old Rav 4 to a 2018 Honda HRV. While I loved my Rav, I feel much more comfortable in my new car with its additional features.

You're going to love this! I bought it brand new with only 10 miles on the clock, and now it has over 169,000 miles and it's still running like a champ. I've only had to change the engine and transmission oils, air filter, front brakes, and tires. It's been a great ride!

Are you having problems with your 2018 Honda Hr-v?

This car has less than 24,000 miles on it. Although, I must admit that the IPC display had to be replaced and the paint has started to bubble up and peel off. I'm disappointed with my experience with Honda, but I hope to find a better car in the future.

I wasn't informed prior to purchasing the Honda that the driver's, passengers', and back windows have dots on them, which I find quite distracting. Additionally, the car seems to feel every bump on the road and the seats are extremely uncomfortable, with terrible headrests. Despite my attempts to exchange the car for a different SUV, the Honda dealership was not able to accommodate my request. Overall, I have had a negative experience with this car and would not recommend it to others.

When going around curves between 40 and 55 mph, my car makes a distinct humming noise that is very irritating. I took it to the Honda dealer and they heard the noise but couldn't figure out a fix. It's frustrating when you purchase a new car and experience issues like this.

I regret purchasing the Honda HRV EXL 2018 as it does not meet my expectations. The car's suspension is not up to par, resulting in a bumpy ride. Additionally, the engine power is subpar.

The two front side windows and rear window cast flower-patterned shadows that can be difficult to see without sunglasses. I personally find them quite bothersome, especially when driving on the seaside highway and wanting to enjoy the beautiful beaches and seas. Unfortunately, Honda of Pasadena has refused to replace them with clear windows for me, stating that they are normal. As someone who was required by my eye doctor to wear sunglasses while driving, these windows can affect my driving. It's a shame that they cannot accommodate my needs, but I understand that they may not be able to make exceptions for every customer.
