Ford had sold over 15 million Fiestas from 1976 to July 2011, making it one of the best-selling Ford nameplates behind the Escort and the F-Series. It has been manufactured in the United Kingdom, Germany, Spain, Brazil, Argentina, Venezuela, Mexico, Taiwan, China, India, Thailand, and South Africa.

The Fiesta was discontinued in 2023, after over 22 million units had been made. The final Ford Fiesta rolled off the production line on 7 July 2023.

I researched any recalls and found "Part 573 Safety Recall Report 23V-905", which only covers two different models, the Focus and the Eco Sport, with precisely the same EcoBoost 1.0 Liter engine. I recently sent it to an independent service station to perform that which the recall describes, as a recall notice did not happen, but the service foreman stated it cannot be successfully repaired, as the oiling system was completely compromised, causing catastrophic damage to the valves, cylinders, turbo system, and vacuum pump.

Ford Motor Company issued Customer Satisfaction Program (CSP) 14M02 on 6/14/2015. Since this date there have been 7 supplements to this program. The changes are that they are covering more vehicles with this KNOWN defective transmission. The first supplement covers vehicles with build date before 10/15/2014 and the most up to date supplement covers vehicles with build date before 6/30/2015. All of the supplements cover the same transmission. This is the transmission that my Fiesta has. I have spoken with the Ford Vehicle Concern team numerous times requesting to speak with Stacy Balzer, Operating Director, service Engineering Operations, Ford Customer Service Division since she is the one that has been signing the updated supplements. Ford has issued Technical Service Bulletin (TSB) 16-0129 that includes my specific vehicle. My complaint is that Ford Motor Company knows that my transmission is defective per TSB 16-0129 but the latest CSP 14M02 supplement dates don’t currently cover my vehicle. My Fiesta would be covered if it was built 20 days earlier. I see this as an extremely shady form of business and instead of waiting until they issue another supplement that would probably cover my vehicle I have chosen to make a written complaint. The NHTSA website has 88 power train complaints towards a 2015 Ford Fiesta (currently being covered in CSP 14M02) and has 86 power train complaints towards a 2016 Ford Fiesta. I have had the vehicle inspected at my local Ford dealership and they have stated that the issue is a defective transmission. A defective transmission that IS NOT covered under CSP 14M02 because of build date ONLY. Thank you for your time.   • Summary: The vehicle is experiencing a common know issue with the TCM. After power loss, after having the battery replaced, the vehicle was having transmission issues. The Codes pulled from the car were P06B8 and P0606. These codes are well know with the Ford Fiesta for failure of the TCM. There is an extended warranty coverage for 2011-2015 Fiestas that should clearly extend to this year as well. It has the same transmission. Ford claims they corrected the issue with new parts. The part number on the cars PCM matches those of the extended warranty. The warranty is to extend to 100,000 miles or 10 years. The vehicle meets both those requirements. The vehicle was manufactured in the same facility in Mexico that the other faulty modules were installed. It was manufactured only a few months after the supposed change in part.

  • Summary: At 90,000 miles the Engine Timing Crankshaft Sprocket (i.e Crankshaft Gear,Part #: BE8Z6306AD) holding the timing belt on the vehicle has failed. This resulted in the timing belt backing off the cam gears and coming in contact with and melting through the plastic timing belt cover. Luckily, there was an audible grinding noise coming from the engine that alerted us the problem before the timing belt became dislodged. On further review there are numerous cases on the internet of this situation occurring. Please see examples at: [XXX] , [XXX] , and [XXX] . The service interval for this component established by Ford is 150,000 miles. Therefore, these situations represent an early failure of this engine component and poses a safety risk to drivers if the belt comes off track or breaks during operation because the vehicle could immediately lose power.     At first, I was happy with my car, but now I'm not so sure. There are a few issues such as a buzzing noise behind the driver's seat, a clicking clutch, and a smaller inside mirror on the driver's side compared to the passenger's side. Additionally, the Recaro passenger seat rubs against the center console, which seems to be off-center. I've reached out to five Ford dealerships to get these issues fixed under warranty, but most of them want to keep my car for two days without providing a loaner car. It's frustrating to not have a car while it's being repaired. I understand that these are fit and finish problems, and I hope to update this review once my car is fixed under warranty.

    The front seat doesn't slide back far enough for someone 6 feet or taller. However, the engine runs smoothly and is adequate for most needs. Although, it can bog down when the AC is on high in the heat of summer. The handling is crisp and the ride is good, but the brakes could be stronger, especially since there are drums in the back. The fuel mileage is pretty much as rated. The dual clutch transmission is okay, and Ford has worked out most of the kinks. However, it can still stumble at times. In my opinion, a torque converter automatic would be the best choice, even if it extracts a small penalty in gas mileage.

    Hey there! I wanted to share my thoughts on the Ford car. I think it was a great win for Ford to offer a basic car entry with 35 mpg. The vehicle holds up really well compared to the Honda Civic and Toyota Corolla. Unfortunately, it's no longer available in the market due to the cost for Ford. It's really sad to see it go out of style because of revenue issues for the company.

    I had a BMW 330i (E46) for 10 years before getting the ST. I find that the ST performs just as well, if not better. Ford even threw in a free whole day racing class in Utah, which I took advantage of. I had a blast spinning this thing around outdoors. The best part is that this car has had zero problems. I've only had to do 4 oil changes in the 3.5 years I've owned it, which only cost me $200. Although I don't drive a lot, I still highly recommend getting one of these cars if you can. Also, my 6.2

    Hi there! I hope you're doing well. I wanted to share my experience with the SE hatchback with the 1.0 3 cylinder ecoboost engine (SFE package). I find it to be a pleasure to drive - it has acceptable power and is fuel efficient to boot. While it may not win any races, it's definitely not boring either. The manual transmission that comes standard is a plus for me - the clutch is light and the shifts are solid (although it's only a 5 speed and has no reverse lockout). In terms of fuel economy, I'm averaging between 33-38 mpg, which translates to 375-425 miles on one tank (12 gallons) depending on the season. However, be careful as it's easy to go fast in this car because it drives so well. You can definitely tell this car came from Europe - the handling is surprisingly good and the car feels solid going down the road. My biggest gripe with the handling is the cheap economy Hankook tires this car comes standard with - they're fine in the dry but have poor grip when wet or snowy. I recommend upgrading your tires to get the most out of this car. The interior fit and finish is very good and doesn't feel terribly cheap like most American car interiors. Visibility is outstanding - I LOVE the large windshield and the airy feeling it gives you. The stock audio system is decent, but the base Sync screen is too small and recessed for my taste. I find it annoying having to rely on voice commands to change the audio source because it's otherwise buried in the settings if you do it manually. Sync reliability and functionality hasn't been great with my car and there is no update, but when it does work, it works OK. Interior cargo space isn't anything to brag about and the rear seats don't fold down flat, but apart from that, you can get a fair amount of stuff in the back nonetheless. The rear seats are best meant for small kids and only two of them at most, so this isn't a family car by any means. However, the seats are fairly comfortable for all passengers that do fit inside. Overall, I've had a positive experience with this car and haven't had any major issues to report. Thanks for reading!So far, I've had to replace a few parts on my Fiesta, but despite that, it's still running strong at 53,000 miles. Although I've had some issues with the Sync voice commands, overall I'm satisfied with my choice. I picked the Fiesta because it's a driver's car that gives me more smiles per gallon, even though the Honda Fit has better cargo room. It will serve me well until it's time to say goodbye.
