The Honda CR-Z is a sport compact hybrid electric car manufactured by Honda and marketed as a "sport hybrid coupe." The CR-Z combines a hybrid gasoline-electric powertrain with traditional sports car elements, including a 2+2 seating arrangement (excluding North American models where the backseat is removed) and a standard 6-speed manual transmission. The CR-Z is regarded as the spiritual successor to the second-generation Honda CR-X in both name and exterior design.

In the U.S., the CR-Z is one of the least polluting hybrid vehicles available and is rated as an Advanced Technology Partial Zero Emissions Vehicle (AT-PZEV) as defined by the California Air Resources Board (CARB). The CR-Z is the third gasoline-electric hybrid model offered by Honda (after the 2000–2006 Insight and 2003–2005 Civic Hybrid) that can be equipped with a manual transmission, and the only one in its class.

The CR-Z is the sixth unique version of Honda's Integrated Motor Assist (IMA) technology since the technology was first launched in the first generation Insight 3 door hatchback. Sales of the CR-Z began in Japan in February 2010. Sales in the U.S. began in August 2010, and production ended by the end of 2016.

Components: AIR BAGS:FRONTAL:DRIVER SIDE:INFLATOR MODULE
Summary: Honda (American Honda Motor Co.) is recalling certain model year 2007-2011 Honda CR-V, 2011-2015 CR-Z, 2010-2014 FCX, and Insight, 2009-2013 Fit, 2013-2014 Fit EV, 2007-2014 Ridgeline, 2013-2016 Acura ILX, 2013-2014 Acura ILX Hybrid, 2007-2016 RDX, 2005-2012 Acura RL, 2009-2014 Acura TL, and 2010-2013 Acura ZDX vehicles. The affected vehicles are equipped with a dual-stage driver frontal air bag that may be susceptible to moisture intrusion which, over time, could cause the inflator to rupture.
Consequence: In the event of a crash necessitating deployment of the driver's frontal air bag, the inflator could rupture with metal fragments striking the driver or other occupants resulting in serious injury or death.
Remedy: Honda will notify owners, and dealers will replace the inflator, free of charge. The recall began March 2017. Owners may contact Honda customer service at 1-888-234-2138. Honda's numbers for this recall are JY0, JY1, and JY2.

I had a bad experience with this car. The visibility is not great and it has cloth seats that can be difficult to clean. The blue tooth and stereo system are not up to par and it has a lower horsepower compared to other cars in its class. However, I believe that Honda can do better and improve the quality of their vehicles. It's important to pay attention to your surroundings while driving any car. Let's hope Honda takes this feedback into consideration and makes improvements in the future.

I'm so glad you had the chance to test drive the CR-Z! It's such a great car with smooth handling, a stable ride, and plenty of power. While some may find the rear visibility a bit challenging, with a little practice, it's easy to get used to. The interior is sleek and modern, making you feel like you're driving a spaceship, and the exterior design is eye-catching and stylish. In my opinion, it's much nicer looking than the Prius. I wasn't initially considering the Hybrid, but after seeing it on the showroom floor, I decided to take it for a test drive on a whim. To my surprise, I fell in love with the car! It has the feel of a sports car, while still maintaining great gas mileage and a sleek design. The design team took inspiration from Mini's, VW Scirocco's, and Lotus, with the Lotus being the most prominent influence. While it may not have a back seat, the cargo room is more than sufficient. Have you ever tried sitting in the back seat of a Mini or VW? Overall, I highly recommend the Hybrid to anyone looking for a stylish and efficient car.

I recently purchased the CRZ to replace my old CRX, which had an impressive 400,000 miles on it. While I found the CVT model to be quite dull, the manual transmission version is an absolute blast to drive. I find myself looking for excuses to get behind the wheel, as it is just so much fun to drive and the gas costs are practically non-existent. The price of the car was an absolute bargain, and with the three different driving modes, it feels like I have purchased three different cars in one. I can drive fast and reckless in sport mode, or slow and fuel-efficient in ECO mode. Overall, this car is an absolute joy to drive, and the instrumentation on the dashboard makes me feel like I'm piloting a spaceship. However, it's important to note that the CRZ doesn't quite deliver the Porsche-like handling of the CRX.

You either like the styling, or you don't. It's like choosing between a sports car that gets 35 mpg or settling for something else and spending a lot more money!!
