GM is advising all dealerships to force customers to sign a waiver if they have the recall work performed releasing GM and the dealer from all responsibility of any damage done to the dashboard. If the dashboard is damaged and has to be replaced then the customer is faced with a more than $1000 repair job therefore the customer must choose between feeding and caring for their family or risking the passenger being seriously injured or killed due to the faulty airbag issue. GM should stand behind the decision they made to use cheap plastic for their dashboards on this vehicle instead of punishing their customers and costing them more money or risking injury or death to passengers.

ANOTHER ISSUE I HAVE FOUND IS IF I SET ANY PAPERS ON THE DASH THEY FALL INTO THE DASH. I CAN NOW SEE THE WIRING INSIDE THE DASH BECAUSE OF THE MISSING PIECES. ON TOP OF THIS YOU HAVE TO BE CAREFUL TOUCHING THE DASH AS I HAVE BEEN CUT ON SEVERAL OCCASIONS FROM THE SHARP EDGES CREATED BY THIS ISSUE. THE CENTER OF THE DASH APPEARS TO BE ON BORROWED TIME IT HAS SUNKEN NEARLY A HALF AN INCH WITHIN THE LAST MONTH. THE DEALERSHIP CLAIMS THIS IS JUST NORMAL WEAR AND TEAR FOR THE VEHICLE AND REFUSES TO FIX IT WITHOUT ME FOOTING THE BILL. THIS JUST SEEMS OUTRAGEOUS ON A CAR PRICED NORTH OF 60K

I own a paper recycling company and my customer base is very environmentally conscious. I recently purchased a new Yukon Hybrid that fits our company image perfectly. I have been very pleased with the vehicle's performance, as it has averaged 21.7 MPG over the last 3,000 miles. The car is not only more fuel-efficient, but also quieter and handles better than my previous Cadillac Escalades. I am planning on purchasing two more Yukon Hybrids for my company as soon as the leases are up on the Escalades. Overall, I am very satisfied with my purchase and believe that GM did a great job!

This is a fantastic truck that has all of the eco-modifications commonly discussed for trucks, including aerodynamic styling, lightweight engine and body parts, and a hybrid drivetrain. The result has been an impressive 23 mpg in overall mileage for a 2WD truck that is both fun to drive and easy to operate. I highly recommend it to anyone who needs and appreciates large trucks. There is simply nothing else like this truck in its size and weight class.

After having owned the Yukon Hybrid for about a week, I have found the Yukon fun and easy to drive with excellent gas economy. The hybrid takes some getting used to--it sounds like a golf cart when starting out. After considerable research, we replaced a 4WD Tahoe and the difference in the mileage is startling and pleasing. We anticipate the difference between the conventional and hybrid will be obliterated in three years or less because of the gas. The interior is comfortable although the seats are harder than the older Tahoe. We took out the 3rd row of seats (not getting them was not an option)for more storage on trips. Overall, an excellent vehicle.

Congratulations on your recent purchase of a Yukon Hybrid! It's great to hear that you were able to get a GM Certified used vehicle with 41,000 miles left on the bumper-to-bumper warranty. On your 400 mile trip home from the dealership, you were able to average 23.7 mpg driving 65-70 mph on interstates. That's impressive! Now, you're averaging 24.5 mpg combined city/highway driving in your local area. The hybrid system and instant economy display really encourage you to drive light-footed, and it's amazing how it's changed your driving habits. The hybrid system is virtually seamless in transition, and the V8/V4 cylinder deactivation system works really well. As an added bonus, you can sneak up on your friends and neighbors up to 30 mph, like a big golf cart. Enjoy your new ride!

I bought the 2008 Yukon used in 2009 with only 1500 miles on it. What a truck! I'm averaging around 21.7 and I have a pretty heavy foot. I'm very happy with the truck, as it's getting better gas mileage than my BMW x3 with a weak six cylinder.

The actuators that move the door locks keep burning out, one after the other. I'm on my fifth replacement. If the next one burns out, I'll have to contact a lawyer.

I purchased this truck with the expectation of achieving 21 mpg (city and highway). However, I found that in reality, the best I could manage was 13.8 mpg in town and 16.8 mpg on the highway, despite driving with a feather touch and monitoring the economy meter regularly. Even when using cruise control on the highway, I was unable to achieve better results. Although I was disappointed with the fuel efficiency, I ultimately decided to sell the truck at a loss rather than continue to be frustrated. The interior is made entirely of molded plastic, which was not to my liking.

I purchased this truck brand new on New Year's Eve 2008. Although I have driven it for 7 months and 12k miles, I am disappointed with the fuel efficiency as I am only getting around 17 MPG. However, I am confident that with some adjustments to my driving habits, I can improve this. I have had to take it to the dealer twice for brake issues, but I am pleased that it was covered under warranty. The interior is nicely laid out, but the materials used seem to be of low quality. The driver's seat has ample leg and head room, but it could be more comfortable on long trips. Overall, I am satisfied with my purchase. The truck has a smooth ride even at high speeds of 75-85 MPH. The cargo area is spacious when the 3rd row seats are removed. It is worth noting that the NAV system cannot be used without the radio being on.

Hi there! I hope you're doing well. I just wanted to share my experience with the Yukon that I bought back in 2009. I was really excited about the hybrid feature and thought it would save me some money on gas. Unfortunately, it didn't quite live up to the hype. I found that it wasn't as fuel-efficient as I had hoped and the build quality seemed a bit lacking. Additionally, the removable third row was quite heavy and difficult to put back in, which made it almost unusable for me. Just wanted to share my thoughts with you!
