- Summary: My 2009 GMC Yukon Denali has a major safety issue. The hard plastic dash has multiple cracks, which is a huge safety concern in the case of an accident. The dash could explode inside the vehicle causing injury to me and/or other passengers. The dashboard could also interfere with the operation of the airbag due to multiple cracks being around the passenger air bag. I have reached out to GM customer service twice and both time they advised me that a manager will reach out to me but they never did. I’m hoping this report will make GM accountable for the vehicle defect they made and pay to fix/repair the dash.

- Summary: I was driving around 55 miles per hour and applied the brakes. I had little to no brakes and had to use the emergency brake to stop the vehicle. Luckily there was no car in front of me or a collision would have occurred. I had multiple ABS light, service stabiltrak, service brake lights engage. It happened once more going to the next light. I pulled over and removed the negative battery cable and waited 2 minutes and re attached it. The brakes feel spongy. I have researched the forums for the electric hybrid models and there were multiple other vehicles with the same symptoms as mine. Dealership says there are no recalls for the vehicle, even though multiple other hybrids are having the same issues and wanted to charge me $135 diagnostic fee to check the brake system. This is a safety hazard and should be investigated by GMC

GMC only made a limited amount of the hybrid models but due to the issues discontinued manufacturing them. why weren't the vehicles taken off the market? started with the jolting from a stop, to not wanting to go into reverse, check engine light, to hybrid battery not shifting into gear, last power steering locked while driving then not starting at all. had sat at the dealership for 4 weeks now sitting at another hybrid shop awaiting for the inverter converter control to be delivered and put in. have spent thousands in the last 2 months repairing trying to figure out issues.

I TAKE EXCEPTIONALLY GOOD CARE OF IT AND THE REST OF THE VEHICLE IS IN EXCELLENT CONDITION. THE CRACK IS CONCERNING AROUND THE AIR BAG BECAUSE IF THE AIR BAG DEPLOYED DURING AN ACCIDENT, THERE IS A STRONG POSSIBILITY OF SHARP DEBRIS CAUSING INJURY.

As someone who used to be a loyal Ford Expedition driver, I was growing tired and frustrated waiting for Ford to release an SUV Hybrid. However, I recently purchased this car and I am thrilled with it! The employee pricing made it an even better deal than what I had expected. I have already driven over 400 miles in town and it has exceeded my expectations in terms of fuel efficiency. In fact, I saved $15 on my first fill-up compared to my old Expedition, which is a significant saving. The car looks fantastic and drives like a dream. While I haven't taken it to San Diego yet, I am confident it will perform just as well. Overall, I am extremely satisfied with my purchase.

I have owned this car for about a month and I absolutely love it! It's so quiet, comfortable, and great to drive. I'm averaging about 18mpg, which is pretty good. The navigation system is fantastic and the back-up camera comes in very handy. There's so much room in this vehicle and it's an absolute pleasure to drive.

What a vehicle! It's so much fun to drive. I can even manipulate the truck to run on electric only around the neighborhood, which we've nicknamed the 'stealth mood'. I absolutely love this truck! As someone who has owned 8 new Suburbans, I can fully recommend this vehicle. It's truly awesome!

If you are looking for a vehicle with good gas mileage, it may be better to consider a regular Yukon instead of the Hybrid. I was disappointed with the Hybrid's fuel efficiency despite the advertised EPA estimate of 20 City/20 Hwy. Under normal driving conditions, I am only averaging 16 mpg or less. The fine print on the sticker mentions that the mileage may vary between 16-24 depending on driving conditions, which can be quite misleading. GM's Hybrid technology may require some adjustments to your driving style, such as slower acceleration and braking, which may not be suitable for everyone.

I bought the 2008 Yukon used in 2009 with only 1500 miles on it. What a truck! I'm averaging around 21.7 and I have a pretty heavy foot. I'm very happy with the truck, as it's getting better gas mileage than my BMW x3 with a weak six cylinder.

I purchased this truck brand new on New Year's Eve 2008. Although I have driven it for 7 months and 12k miles, I am disappointed with the fuel efficiency as I am only getting around 17 MPG. However, I am confident that with some adjustments to my driving habits, I can improve this. I have had to take it to the dealer twice for brake issues, but I am pleased that it was covered under warranty. The interior is nicely laid out, but the materials used seem to be of low quality. The driver's seat has ample leg and head room, but it could be more comfortable on long trips. Overall, I am satisfied with my purchase. The truck has a smooth ride even at high speeds of 75-85 MPH. The cargo area is spacious when the 3rd row seats are removed. It is worth noting that the NAV system cannot be used without the radio being on.

Hi there! I hope you're doing well. I just wanted to share my experience with the Yukon that I bought back in 2009. I was really excited about the hybrid feature and thought it would save me some money on gas. Unfortunately, it didn't quite live up to the hype. I found that it wasn't as fuel-efficient as I had hoped and the build quality seemed a bit lacking. Additionally, the removable third row was quite heavy and difficult to put back in, which made it almost unusable for me. Just wanted to share my thoughts with you!
