For 2022, a third generation of the Tourneo Connect was released; based on the Volkswagen Caddy, the model line is assembled by Volkswagen in Poland.

I've had the car for about two months now and it's been working well for my needs. Although the cargo area could be a bit longer for sheet goods, I installed a roof rack and that seems to be doing the trick. Recently, I took it on a 1000 mile road trip through the hills of NC with a full load and it performed just as I expected, getting 27mpg. I particularly like the 1 hour feature on the radio and I'm slowly getting used to the blue tooth. I plan to upgrade the stereo with better speakers and an amp. I'm also excited to add some decals to personalize it. The car can hold a lot of stuff and it's a great value for the price. Additionally, the front glass is fantastic. Overall, I'm really happy with my purchase!

Gas mileage, power, and style are all great. The interior room is awesome. I recently traded in my Ford Escape and have been on trips, but mostly drive in town like most of us. The vehicle stops great and the other day a GMC cut over in front of me and the transit did extremely well. I do wish there were more add-ons or a luxury package available. This van handles better than expected, with a smooth ride and great visibility from the front windshield and side windows. It also has a tight turning radius. I've only had it for a week, but everything is within reach and the overhead storage is awesome. It's everything they said it would be. And don't believe what they say about the power - this vehicle has plenty of power as far as I'm concerned!

I test drove the Ford Transit Connect XL Van for 50 miles. Although I was hoping to get an XLT with rear seats during the car clunker program, I really liked the Transit Connect. It handled very well and I found the power to be sufficient for my trips of 30 miles or less. I plan to use this van for my Craft/Show business and was pleased to find that my 22x15x12 inch folding top boxes (24+) fit perfectly in the XL. Since I need this van to be Parkway legal, rear seats are a must. Unfortunately, I was unable to find any information online, at the dealer, or in parts department detail sheets or booklets about whether the seats can be removed. Additionally, there are no XLT's available in my area to see the rear seats. Now that the clunker program is gone, I can wait to make a decision and continue using my Chevy Astro Van for the time being.

We use our transit connect for work. I've noticed that the back seat doesn't have enough leg room for passengers, which can be a problem when we need to transport more than one person to urgent care. However, the front seat is fairly comfortable, even on longer trips. The visibility is excellent all around, thanks to the huge panoramic front windshield that makes it easy to see pretty much everything.

I've had my transit for 4yrs. In that time, I've had to replace the transmission, the motor, the water pump twice, the muffler, and now the transmission has gone out again. There are also a few other minor things that don't work, like the electric locks, and it tends to overheat. Based on my experience and reading other reviews, it seems like these vehicles may have some issues. I strongly advise against purchasing this model, as you may end up regretting it. No kidding... the door actually fell off the hinges. This truck is a complete lemon and takes more time at the shop than on the road. It seems that every one you see on the road is missing at least one hubcap. Update: We lost the gas cap. Yes, the welded on gas cap fell off along with the antenna. Last Update: I FINALLY GOT RID OF IT!!! I switched to Ram Pro Master City and it’s so much nicer.

This vehicle has had a lot of repairs over the years, including engine and transmission replacements, multiple replacements of belts, hoses, bearings, alternators, power steering pumps, and brake components, as well as various other repairs. Unfortunately, the rear axle spindles were welded on crooked at the manufacturing plant. Despite all of these repairs, the vehicle has reached 261k miles and is still running. However, it is likely that the next repair needed will be its last. While I have owned many different types of vehicles, this one is not one of my favorites.
