The Fusion Hybrid has won the 2010 North American Car of the Year Award, and the entire 2013 Ford Fusion line-up, including the Fusion hybrid and plug-in variants, won the 2013 Green Car of the Year. As of December 2016, over 285,000 units of the Fusion hybrid family have been sold in the United States since 2009, including the plug-in hybrid variant. - Summary: Ford Motor Company (Ford) is recalling certain 120V Convenience charge cords that were supplied with and sold for use with 2013-2015 Ford C-Max Energi and Fusion Energi vehicles and 2012-2015 Ford Focus Electric vehicles. Cords with part numbers FM58-10B706-AA, FM58-10B706-AB, FM58-10B706-AC, FM58-10B706-AD, FM58-10B706-AE and FM58-10B706-AF were manufactured without thermistors, and during vehicle charging, increased resistance in the house's outlet or wiring can cause the cord to overheat and melt.
- Consequence: An overheated cord can increase the risk of a fire.
- Remedy: Ford will notify owners, and dealers will replace the current cord with a new 120V convenience cord with a thermistor, free of charge. The recall began January 18, 2019. Owners may contact Ford customer service at 1-866-436-7332. Ford's number for this recall is 18S24.

- Summary: Ford Motor Company (Ford) is recalling certain model year 2014-2015 Ford Fusion vehicles manufactured July 27, 2013, to October 31, 2014, 2015 Ford Fusion Hybrid vehicles manufactured February 24, 2014, to October 31, 2014, and 2015 Ford Fusion Energi vehicles manufactured July 14, 2014, to October 31, 2014. In the affected vehicles, the key may be able to be removed even while the transmission is not in Park. Thus, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) No. 114, "Theft Protection and Rollaway Prevention."
- Consequence: If the key can be removed despite that the transmission is not in Park, a driver may think the vehicle is safety parked, when it is not, increasing the risk of a vehicle rollaway that could cause the vehicle to strike and injure the driver, other vehicle occupants, or bystanders.
- Remedy: Ford will notify owners, and dealers will repair the vehicles, free of charge. The recall began on December 15, 2014. Owners may contact Ford customer service at 1-866-436-7332. Ford's number for this recall is 14C11.

I've been eyeing the Fusion since 2013 when the new body style was released. I went for the Titanium and opted for every feature because I can't stand blank button faces in cars. This is my first brand new car and I've always disliked the blank buttons in all the used cars I've owned. When it comes to the Fusion hybrid, it's an extra 2000 dollars, but it can save you that much in gas costs in the first few years. If you're looking to save money, it's definitely worth considering. Let's keep an open mind and explore all the options available to us.

I picked up my car about five days ago. Although I was initially skeptical of the gas consumption claims due to some negative reviews from other consumers, I needed a low gas consumption vehicle. After test driving several hybrids from different brands, including Lexus, VW, Lincoln, and Toyota, I found that this car appealed to me the most. I have not regretted my decision since buying it. The car is very comfortable, and the quality of build is excellent. In fact, the gas consumption is even better than what Ford promised. On my daily commute of 110 miles round trip on a rather flat highway, I am averaging around 45mpg. On shorter trips and in the city, I have achieved over 55mpg. Overall, I am very happy with my purchase!

I love my car! I bought it mainly for its stunning tectonic silver exterior and impressive gas mileage (2015 fusion energi titanium) which boasts 38 mpg on gasoline only, combined city/highway and 88 mpg on electricity + gasoline, combined city/highway. It has definitely lived up to my expectations. Since I drive around 30-35 miles per day, I mostly use electric power, resulting in an average of about 70 mpg over the past 21 months. I only wish it had more trunk space and that Suri could hear me better (maybe it's my voice?). The car has a low pan under the front which I accidentally knocked off, but the dealership fixed it and said it wasn't properly attached. I just have to be careful on speed bumps as it's lower than any other car I've owned. The navigation system is great once you get the hang of it. I'm not too tech-savvy, but I really appreciate the safety features. And let's not forget the stunning design and color - it's still my favorite!

I really loved my Fusion! Although I'm taller, I eventually got used to getting in and out of it. In my opinion, it's the best car I've ever driven. I've driven Chevys before, but I have to say that I don't like them overall, especially the seats which are awful. Unfortunately, my brother and I were recently in an accident in my Fusion. The windshield had a gaping hole in front of the driver's seat, the roof had a pretty sizeable dent, the dash had tears from the glass and deer, and the quarter panel had damage along with the little triangle window being busted out. The car was totaled due to the cost of repairs to the roof, dash, and quarter panel. However, the accident was in no way anyone's fault. It was dark and a deer came out from behind a car. I'm so grateful that we were in a Fusion instead of something less reliable. I'm hoping to get another Fusion as soon as possible!

My daughter's 2013 Fusion recently experienced a transmission issue at 120,000 miles, with a minimum quote of $3500 due to its CVT transmission. Despite this setback, I remain confident in the overall reliability of Ford cars and trust that this was an uncommon occurrence. The 2014 Fusion Hybrid did not meet its mpg claims. It is unlikely to achieve more than 34mpg from normal driving and 38mpg from hybrid driving. In comparison to the Prius, which achieves its claimed mpg numbers when driven normally, the Fusion Hybrid falls short of its 47mpg claim unless the driving conditions are optimal. The MyTouch system can be challenging to use and requires multiple inputs. The navigation system can be difficult to navigate, so we prefer to use our phones instead.

I recently experienced some issues with my Fusion's transmission after 116,000 miles. Unfortunately, the repair cost was estimated at $5500, which was not feasible for me. I decided to part ways with the car since I believe that if such a major component fails so early in the car's life, it may indicate other potential issues. Although I initially enjoyed the car's gas mileage and handling, I am now dissatisfied with it. I purchased the 2014 Ford Fusion Hybrid SE in June of 2014 and have driven 35K miles. Despite the advertised 47/47 MPG, I have only been able to achieve 38 MPG, which is disappointing as fuel efficiency was a key factor in my purchase decision. However, I appreciate that Ford promptly issued me a $700 check for 1 year of fuel and apologized for the miscalculation. While I would have preferred a refund or a check that covers my 8 year/125K warranty, I am confident that Ford will continue to work towards improving their products. Although I had planned on replacing my second vehicle with a F-150, I am still considering all options and will make a decision based on what best suits my needs.
