Negative 2016 Ford Fusion hybrid car reviews

I have been using this car as a company fleet vehicle and unfortunately, I have been quite disappointed with it. However, I must say that the car looks sharp from the outside and handles well. I have the hybrid/gas combo and I am able to get almost 400 miles per tank of gas, which is impressive. Despite these positives, I have had several issues with the car and I feel that it is not very safe. In my opinion, the cars are made quite cheaply. I have already had to deal with several issues, which is concerning. One of the most concerning issues is that all Fusion owners on my team and in other areas have experienced the car completely stopping on the highway while going 70 mph, causing the car to slow down to 20 mph and lose total power. All of us on the team have had to have the throttle body replaced. There is also a recall for the steering wheel coming off and my

I'm glad to hear that you've been enjoying your Fusion Hybrid! It's unfortunate to hear about the issue with the center console latch breaking off, especially so soon after purchasing the car. Have you reached out to other Fusion Hybrid owners to see if they've experienced a similar problem? As for the replacement, it's good to know that Ford is willing to replace it for $200.00. Thank you for sharing your experience with me!

Positive 2016 Ford Fusion hybrid car reviews

  1. Manuel Kihn 2025-01-09

Hi there! I wanted to share my experience with my 2015 Ford Fusion Hybrid (Titanium). I've been averaging an impressive 49+mpg, even with active cruise control set to 68mph and driving 120 miles per day for work, mostly on the highway. I've found that making longer stops helps recapture energy, and I've adjusted my driving style to include slower starts. However, the car still has plenty of power when I need it. On a recent vacation, I was able to get 42mpg even while driving at 80+. One thing I've noticed is that the tank is much smaller, so instead of a 14-gallon fill-up, I'm only doing 7-8 gallons. Thanks for listening!

  2. Gregory Weimann 2025-01-09

I've had this car for 5 years now and I still love driving it. The car gets the mileage it is advertised to get, and it has a very comfortable and quiet ride. It is a joy to drive, with responsive controls and a very responsive engine. This car can easily do 80 mph and can pass on an incline grade with power to spare. Even my spouse, who is 6' 5

  3. Glennie Conn 2024-11-19

Excellent quality. Great features. Mileage is over 40 mpg and it is not even broken in yet. I'm so glad to hear that you're very pleased!

  4. Keanu Cruickshank 2024-11-10

UPDATE now having over 120K miles and 6 years in it, I still love this car. It has been a joy to drive with an average of over 42 MPG in all driving conditions. Although getting in and out can still be a bit of a struggle, it's a small price to pay for the value and efficiency of a sedan over an SUV. I have found it to be incredibly reliable with no issues after 5 years of use. Overall, I have thoroughly enjoyed every moment of driving this car and would highly recommend it.

  5. Rusty Turcotte 2024-10-26

Get ready to be pleasantly surprised by this car's quality, performance, and looks. However, it's worth noting that the back seat legroom may be limited, especially if the driver is tall and has the front seat all the way back.
