The Fusion Hybrid has won the 2010 North American Car of the Year Award, and the entire 2013 Ford Fusion line-up, including the Fusion hybrid and plug-in variants, won the 2013 Green Car of the Year. As of December 2016, over 285,000 units of the Fusion hybrid family have been sold in the United States since 2009, including the plug-in hybrid variant. As of December 2016, sales of the Fusion Energi totaled 43,327 units delivered in its main market, the U.S.

I've only driven 500 miles in the car so far, but I plan to update my experience over time. Currently, I'm getting an impressive 42.5 MPG in mixed driving. I've rented various cars in the past, including 2014 Nissan Altimas, several Priuses, and lots of Camrys. However, the 2015 Fusion Hybrid surpasses them all in terms of build quality, comfort, and handling. It's a much quieter and refined ride, and it handles corners with ease. The only area where the Fusion falls short, and perhaps all hybrids do, is in driving fun. When I was test driving and comparing cars, I considered the VW Passat TDI (Diesel), which reportedly gets a legitimate 38-40 MPG and is more enjoyable to drive. However, I ultimately chose the Fusion for its higher reliability. Looking forward to sharing more updates soon!

When it was time for a new car, we had our sights set on a Fusion. Although we weren't initially looking for a hybrid, the dealer didn't have the color combination and options we wanted in a non-hybrid SE. However, they did have them in the SE hybrid, so we decided to give it a try. The pricing was right on top of non-hybrid models, and with the trade, discount, and rebates, we got a deal that we couldn't refuse. Needless to say, we bought it that day and have no regrets. Overall, the Fusion is a wonderful car. We took it on a long trip from central Virginia to Charleston, SC, the second week we owned it, and it proved to be most comfortable, far and away better than the '07 Buick we traded for it. The seats were just plain excellent, even the side bolsters were not an issue and held us firmly yet comfortably (did I mention that I am I must say that I was a bit concerned about the hilly terrain, but our recent trip to northeast Tennessee to visit family put those concerns to rest. Our Fusion proved more than capable of handling the task, even with two additional passengers in the car. Now, onto the most berated feature - MyFord Touch. I personally don't have a problem with it. While some people say it's not intuitive enough, I find that reading the owner's manual helps a lot. Bluetooth pairing is a breeze and Sync even talks you through it. I can easily change radio stations, toggle between other audio functions, and make phone calls without any issues, even with my heavy hillbilly drawl. Changing climate controls is also no great issue as long as you follow the directions. The panel buttons are within easy reach, so there are no real issues. The only real issue is that if you're a gauge watcher like me, it can be a little distracting with the gauge switching between gas and battery operation. Otherwise, I'm completely happy with the car. The bonus is an 8-year/100k warranty on the hybrid parts, so there are no worries about battery life! It's been six months since I got the car, and I still have no complaints. The MPG has even crept a little higher to 44.6 mpg. With gas at $1.40 in central VA, who's complaining? Most of my friends who thought Fusions were just rental fleet cars can't believe the content and comfort of this car. With cheap gas, maybe you don't need a hybrid, but if I were to trade today, I'd get another one.Even my friend who bought a Civic Hybrid around the same time I bought the Fusion wishes they had looked at Fords! After two and a half years, there is nothing new to report, and I still love the car. It's bank vault solid at close to 30K with no faults or trips to the dealer other than routine services. I am very picky, especially early in ownership, to uncover any faults that may pose a problem later, but there is nothing to nitpick over. Currently, I am at an indicated 45.3 mpg in combined city/highway driving. I will say that on a recent trip to New England, we spent more on tolls from central Virginia to New York than gasoline. The one pitfall of the Fusion Hybrid is trunk space, as the batteries take up a pretty good chunk. However, we can still fit two very large suitcases, beach chairs, etc. in the trunk for a week at the beach, so maybe this is a small nit after all. Cheers!

My wife and I have owned many cars in the past, but we recently decided to purchase a hybrid. We were looking for a stylish car and after reading Edmunds.com's review of the 2016 Ford Fusion SE Hybrid, we decided to visit Landmark Ford in Tigard, Oregon. Our salesperson, James, was extremely knowledgeable and personable without being pushy. The price negotiation process was excellent, and we were able to obtain our price rather quickly. We took a road trip from Portland to Coeur d'Alene, Idaho (and back), covering over 1,200 miles and averaging 70 miles per hour on the highway. We were thrilled to find that we averaged 42.5 miles to the gallon, which is exactly what the government's rating of 44 city/41 hwy promised (a first for any of our cars). We found both front seats to be very comfortable, and we absolutely love the navigation system and other electronics. For under $25,000, our SE Hybrid has a moonroof, navigation system, the 501A equipment group, the SE technology package, and other features. We don't know of any other car at that price that includes such features. And to top it off, the car drives smoothly. We absolutely love driving it.

This 2016 Fusion Hybrid SE is a remarkable upgrade from my previous car, a 1998 Ford Mustang. With features such as Bluetooth, satellite radio, and a CD player, it's clear that this car is a significant step up. While the EPA rates it at 44 city-41 highway-42 overall, I have found that it's not difficult to achieve much higher mpg. By properly driving a hybrid and following the car's displays, I have been able to achieve over 50 mpg on trips of over 30 miles. Even on a 120-mile trip with the cruise control set at 70 mph, I still managed to get 46 mpg on the highway. By driving with the eco button on, I prioritize fuel economy, which means the car accelerates a bit slower and the A/C doesn't blow as hard. Despite this, I still managed to get an average mileage of over 40 mpg even in mid-August when it was in the mid-90s outside. I decided to buy a hybrid for several reasons, including wanting something new and a car that wouldn't suffer in gridlock traffic. This car happily crawls along in EV mode, rarely using any gas. Additionally, I appreciate the idea of fewer of my dollars going to the Middle East. This car has no downside, as it gets outstanding fuel economy while still being powerful enough to chirp the tires and push you back in your seat when you need it to, especially when the eco button is turned off.The Fusion Hybrid is an exceptional car that easily outperforms school buses and slow-moving 18 wheelers on the highway. Despite being a standard hybrid, it gets better mileage than the more expensive Fusion Energi, which is heavier due to its larger battery. The car has a smooth and quiet ride, and its classy appearance both inside and out is impressive. I was able to negotiate a great deal on one of the last new 2016 models on the lot, which cost less than some of the new 2017 2.5 liter SE's on the same lot. Although the A-pillars are thicker than in my old Mustang, the visibility is still good compared to other new cars. The car's fuel economy is affected by cold weather, but it is still an amazing car that I would definitely buy again. After 7 months of ownership, I am still very pleased with my purchase. The Fusion Hybrid is a reliable and efficient car that performs exceptionally well in snow and ice. It offers a smooth and quiet ride, with no rattles or unwelcome surprises. The CVT transmission ensures a seamless driving experience, with no jerkiness or hesitation. The gas engine is powerful and doesn't shake the car when it comes on. With an average fuel economy of over 40 mpg in everyday driving, the Fusion Hybrid is an excellent choice for those looking for a practical and eco-friendly vehicle.

I have been using this car as a company fleet vehicle and unfortunately, I have been quite disappointed with it. However, I must say that the car looks sharp from the outside and handles well. I have the hybrid/gas combo and I am able to get almost 400 miles per tank of gas, which is impressive. Despite these positives, I have had several issues with the car and I feel that it is not very safe. In my opinion, the cars are made quite cheaply. I have already had to deal with several issues, which is concerning. One of the most concerning issues is that all Fusion owners on my team and in other areas have experienced the car completely stopping on the highway while going 70 mph, causing the car to slow down to 20 mph and lose total power. All of us on the team have had to have the throttle body replaced. There is also a recall for the steering wheel coming off and my
