1994 Chrysler Lhs problems
The Chrysler LHS is a full-size luxury four-door sedan that was produced by Chrysler for the 1994 through the 2001 model years, with a one-year hiatus for 1998. It replaced the Chrysler Imperial and the Chrysler Fifth Avenue as the division's flagship model. The LHS was rebadged as the Concorde Limited for the 2002 model year.
First generation (1994–1997)
Introduced in May 1993 for the 1994 model year, the Chrysler LHS was the top of the line model for the division, as well as the most expensive of the Chrysler LH platform cars. All the LH-series models shared a 113.0-inch (2,870 mm) wheelbase and were developed using Chrysler's new computer drafting system.
The car was differentiated from the division's New Yorker sedan by its bucket leather seats (the New Yorker had a bench seat) and standard features such as alloy wheels that were options on the New Yorker. Further differences between the Chrysler LHS and its New Yorker counterpart were a floor console and shifter, five-passenger seating, lack of chrome trim, an upgraded interior, and a sportier image. From the 1996 model year on the New Yorker was dropped in favor of a six-passenger option on the LHS. The LHS received a minor face change in 1995 when the corporate-wide Pentastar emblem was replaced with the revived Chrysler brand emblem.
Standard features of the LHS included a 3.5 L EGE 24-valve 214 hp (160 kW; 217 PS) V6 engine, body-colored grille, side mirrors and trim, traction control, aluminum wheels, integrated fog lights, 8-way power-adjustable front seats, premium sound systems with amplifiers, and automatic temperature control. Unlike the New Yorker, leather seats were standard.

I hope you're enjoying your 1994 Chrysler LHS! It's great to hear that it gets good gas mileage, 27 mpg on the road is impressive.
-
Hi there! I hope you're doing well. I just wanted to share a little bit about this car. It actually used to belong to my mother - she bought it back in '96 when it already had 30k miles on it. We did have a few issues with the water pump and had to replace the transmission a few times before hitting 100k miles, but thankfully all of that was covered under warranty. Unfortunately, the engine did end up locking up on her while she was on the freeway at 105k miles, which was definitely scary. But overall, we're just glad that everything turned out okay in the end.
-
I drove this car for 100,000 miles over 4 years, starting at 40,000 miles. It was a luxurious experience every mile of the way, with soft leather seats and plenty of room in the back and trunk. There were also lots of little extras that made it a joy to drive. However, it did have some problems along the way. For example, the transmission dropped from 3rd to 2nd gear while I was driving at 55 mph! I had it rebuilt, but there were still issues. The air conditioner motor also died two years ago, and now everything seems to be going wrong. Unfortunately, the cost of repairs is becoming too much. Despite this, I will miss the comfort of this car, which I don't think can be easily or economically replaced!
-
Stylish car, very responsive, and a fantastic ride.
-
This thing floated down the road like no other. It had such a nice engine note when pushed. The seats were about as comfy as they came. Options galore for an early-mid 90's luxury ride. It turned heads all over campus wherever I went. So much interior space. If you could find an untouched, factory-new example, you'd buy it in a heartbeat.

I really like this car overall. It's a pleasure to drive and very comfortable inside. The power is good and gas mileage is acceptable. Although, the mechanicals have left something to be desired. Unfortunately, the A/C has been replaced three times and is currently out of commission. The transmission has also been replaced once. However, if the A/C and transmission were fixed, the car would be a 10.

I purchased the car with 36,000 miles on it and have experienced a multitude of reliability issues since day one, including transmission repairs at 44,000 miles, as well as failures in the cooling, air conditioning, steering, and engine systems. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend this product to anyone. However, it is worth noting that the car does have an attractive appearance and comfortable interior.

Hi there! I noticed that you mentioned you purchased this car new and have had to spend over $14,000 in repairs since then. It sounds like you've had to replace quite a few parts, including the transmission which has been rebuilt three times, the AC, cooling system, timing belt, water pump, paint, trim, power windows and locks, fuel system, weatherstripping, headlights, windshield wipers, struts, strut bushings, brakes, and power antenna. That's quite a list! Is there anything else you'd like to share about your experience with the car?

Nice car inside and out! The leather is so comfortable and the interior is huge. I bought the car with 103000 miles and now it has 160000. While I have had to put more money into this car than all of my other ones combined, I still appreciate its unique features. Repairs are expected on high mileage cars, but I have found that this car has required more attention than most.
