Chrysler Lhs problems
The Chrysler LHS is a full-size luxury four-door sedan that was produced by Chrysler for the 1994 through the 2001 model years, with a one-year hiatus for 1998. It replaced the Chrysler Imperial and the Chrysler Fifth Avenue as the division's flagship model. The LHS was rebadged as the Concorde Limited for the 2002 model year.
First generation (1994–1997)
Introduced in May 1993 for the 1994 model year, the Chrysler LHS was the top of the line model for the division, as well as the most expensive of the Chrysler LH platform cars. All the LH-series models shared a 113.0-inch (2,870 mm) wheelbase and were developed using Chrysler's new computer drafting system.
The car was differentiated from the division's New Yorker sedan by its bucket leather seats (the New Yorker had a bench seat) and standard features such as alloy wheels that were options on the New Yorker. Further differences between the Chrysler LHS and its New Yorker counterpart were a floor console and shifter, five-passenger seating, lack of chrome trim, an upgraded interior, and a sportier image. From the 1996 model year on the New Yorker was dropped in favor of a six-passenger option on the LHS. The LHS received a minor face change in 1995 when the corporate-wide Pentastar emblem was replaced with the revived Chrysler brand emblem.
Standard features of the LHS included a 3.5 L EGE 24-valve 214 hp (160 kW; 217 PS) V6 engine, body-colored grille, side mirrors and trim, traction control, aluminum wheels, integrated fog lights, 8-way power-adjustable front seats, premium sound systems with amplifiers, and automatic temperature control. Unlike the New Yorker, leather seats were standard.

THEY SAID TO GO TO A SCRAP YARD TO GET PART OR CALL BACK DEALERSHIP AND ADVISE THEM TO ORDER THE KIT AND RE DO IT AND THERES ALSO ANOTHER RECALL ON IT CURRENTLY AMD FORBTHE DEALERSHIP TO HONOR THAT RECALL ALSO. SEEM TO HEAR A CONTINUE HUM EVEN WHEN CAR IS SHUT OFF..NOT RADIO! HELP,SPENT TO MUCH ON THIS CAR WITH 126,000 MILES ON IT TO FEEL I CAN'T PUT MY CHILDREN INSIDE TO BE SAFE,OR STRANDED. - Summary: ON CERTAIN PASSENGER VEHICLES, THE FLOOR SHIFTER IGNITION-PARK INTERLOCK MAY FAIL AND ALLOW THE SHIFTER TO BE MOVED OUT OF THE PARK POSITION WITH THE KEY REMOVED. AN INOPERATIVE INTERLOCK MAY ALSO ALLOW THE KEY TO BE REMOVED WHEN THE SHIFTER HAS NOT BEEN PLACED IN THE PARK POSITION.
- Consequence: EITHER CIRCUMSTANCE MAY RESULT IN THE VEHICLE ROLLING AWAY WITHOUT WARNING.

I love this car! It's so roomy and comfortable, and the gas mileage is great. Plus, there's plenty of trunk space for two sets of clubs, including carts! It handles like a dream, especially in snow and ice. I really think Chrysler had a good thing going with the LHS, and it's a shame they discontinued it. Even the back seat passenger can enjoy a comfortable ride on long trips.

This car is a comfortable, reliable car. It can't be beat for comfort on long trips. The seats are great and there is spacious room in the passenger compartment. The trunk space is more than adequate for a long trip.

Congratulations on owning your 2001 LHS for over a year now! It's great to hear that you bought it with less than 25,000 miles and it has been a very reliable car for you, with close to 40,000 miles now. Your wife and you must really appreciate the heated seats in the winter. It's impressive that the car is much quicker than you would have expected. Although you mentioned that there is little leg room in the front, it's understandable as you are 6'7

I never imagined that a car this large would show between 27-30 MPG consistently on the road and 21 in the city. Chrysler has a winning formula in the LHS. Sadly, I must part ways with it as it is time to move to something new for my business. If you can find one like mine, I highly recommend buying it! These cars are excellent - few mechanical problems and high reliability.

The ride is a bit too rough, but overall the performance is good. I was sold on the Standard Option Package at the time of purchase, which was a great choice.

In the past 2 1/2 years, I have invested over $2,000 in my Chrysler due to various issues such as power windows, heater, heated driver's seat, cruise control, sway bar links, tie rods, and brake work. Despite its beautiful appearance, the quality of this car has been disappointing. As a confident car buyer, I will not be purchasing another Chrysler in the future.

I really like this car overall. It's a pleasure to drive and very comfortable inside. The power is good and gas mileage is acceptable. Although, the mechanicals have left something to be desired. The A/C has been replaced three times and is currently out of commission. The transmission has also been replaced once. If the A/C and transmission were fixed, the car would be a 10.

Hi there! I hope you're doing well. I just wanted to share my experience with my LHS. My father actually bought it brand new and never had any issues with it. When I took over ownership at 32,000 miles, it was running great! However, I did run into a few problems down the line. The AC stopped working at 62,000 miles, and then the water pump went out at around 72,000 miles, which caused some other issues. Unfortunately, the transmission went out at around 90,000 miles, and I've had to spend quite a bit on repairs - at least $4,000. I'm not sure whether to keep it or trade it in and take a loss. What do you think?
