The Chevrolet Trailblazer (9BYC) is a subcompact crossover SUV produced by General Motors under the Chevrolet brand since 2020. It is the smallest crossover from Chevrolet, slotting below the Trax.
Overview
The Trailblazer was launched on April 16, 2019, at the 18th Shanghai International Automobile Industry Exhibition alongside the Tracker, that replaced the outgoing Trax. The Trailblazer is aimed for developed markets, while the Tracker is aimed for emerging markets. Developed by GM Korea, the Trailblazer is assembled in Incheon, South Korea, while the Chinese-market model is produced in Yantai, Shandong, China, by SAIC-GM.
The Trailblazer made its North American debut at the Los Angeles Auto Show in November 2019, and sales began in early 2020 as a 2021 model year vehicle. There are five trim levels available: L, LS, LT, Activ, and RS. The latter two came standard with dual exhaust and top of the line features. The Activ and RS models also feature a contrasting color roof.
It was launched in the Philippines in October 2021. Imported from South Korea, it notably reused the nameplate from the previous Colorado-based Trailblazer which was discontinued in the same year.
On January 16, 2020, the Trailblazer was launched in South Korea. The Korean-market model is larger in dimension than Trailblazers sold in other markets, with a length of 4,425 mm (174.2 in) and width of 1,810 mm (71.3 in).

- Summary: I was driving on the highway just reaching 55 mph, that is when all of a sudden, my suv stalled out with no warning no sound nothing. I tried to restart it and sounded as if it was trying to start but wouldn't. after a couple of times of trying that is when a tow truck came and as he was putting my suv on the flat bed I noticed huge amount oil on the ground. I got it towed to Chevy dealership for service and that is when they told me that the 6th cylinder cracked also a rod went through causing a hole in the engine block. I asked what could have caused it, because I'm on top of my maintenance and my suv only had 94,000 miles on it. That is when he explained to me that it was nothing that I did and that there was nothing that I could've done to prevent it and that there was nothing I did wrong that caused it. So, the leaves me asking, isn't that a manufacturing issue?

She turned on the headlights manually, and the low beams still were not working, but all driving lights and high beam headlights were working. I assumed that the bulbs were burned out, so replaced both the driver and passenger side bulbs. The low beam headlights still failed to come on either automatically or manually. I Googled the problem, and multiple people have reported this exact same problem, and some stated that there was a recall due to this problem. I am unable to find either a recall or a service bulletin for this issue.

Hello! I hope you're doing well. I noticed that GM has discontinued the TrailBlazer after the 2009 Model year and replaced it with the new Equinox. I recently test drove a new Equinox and unfortunately, I wasn't too happy with it. Despite having a V6 engine, the vehicle lacked power and the gas mileage was not as good as advertised. However, I have a soft spot for my 04 Trailblazer, which I recently traded in for a 2010 Acadia, and my 2008 Trailblazer, which I still have. I just love the exterior look of the LT and the strong acceleration. I plan on keeping it until the doors fall off! It has been 45K miles and I haven't had a single problem yet! We recently purchased a 2008 Chevy TrailBlazer 1LT... our first American built car after a trio of Nissans. We are thrilled with our purchase so far! The ride is excellent, and we were pleasantly surprised by the amount of space for each passenger. We were not initially set on a TrailBlazer, but after our purchase, we would not hesitate to buy a newer, more updated version if it were produced. The expected fuel mileage of 15 city/21 hwy is also a great bonus.

Hey there, all you SS enthusiasts! I'm excited to share that Chevy has finally answered back with an SUV that has it all - power, suspension, body style, and all the options you need for cruising at 100mph. I've personally had no issues with the windows rolling up at high speeds (unlike what I read in another review), and the new 4-speed transmission allows for more torque than any 5 or 6-speed could handle. As an owner of a 2002 Camaro SS with a 6-speed manual transmission, I can tell you that I would have loved to have a 4-speed manual - less shifting and more driving! If you're looking for style, comfort, power, and most importantly, SS packages, then I highly recommend buying this SUV now before they're all gone. Personally, I think the Black Granite Metallic paint is the way to go.

My truck has been experiencing violent shaking in the steering and even worse brakes for the past 3 months. Despite taking it to the dealership twice, the problem persists and I do not feel safe driving it, especially with my children. The traction light and warning light keep coming on, but the dealership has assured me that it is not a problem. However, I remain unconvinced and concerned for my safety. As a consumer, I regret choosing GM over Honda, which I had for 10 years without any issues.

The lumbar support knob and cable cover by the mirror came off, which is unacceptable. The styling leaves much to be desired and the sound system is very poor. Additionally, the locking system can be frustrating as it locks you out if you leave the key in the ignition. These issues need to be addressed with urgency.

Hey there! Thank you for considering this vehicle. I just wanted to share some feedback with you. There have been some issues with the front linkage loosening, brake rotors wearing unevenly, and ignition problems. Additionally, the blower motor can vibrate quite loudly and the tires may wear unevenly. I had some trouble with the dealership as well, but I'm sure they're working to improve. Just wanted to give you a heads up! The real gas mileage is around 13 MPG, with 14 MPG on the highway and 13 MPG in the city.

Your 08 TrailBlazer SS sounds like a really enjoyable ride! I can see why Porsche enthusiasts might not appreciate it, but it reminds you of the 97 911C2S you drove for a while. The short hood and the thrill of hoping for enough traction to make it around the corner make for a fun driving experience, even if it's not the most confidence-inspiring. It's great to hear that there's plenty of traction and brakes to go with the power of the LS2.

I really like this car, but I have been having some trouble with the gas mileage. Unfortunately, I only get about 13 mpg, which is not great. I have taken it in for service, but they say that Trailblazers are known for being gas guzzlers. It costs $65 to fill up my tank, and I usually only get around 300 miles out of it. We have tried using high-performance oil, but it hasn't made much of a difference. Despite the gas mileage issue, I do appreciate the smooth ride and powerful engine. However, it does use up a lot of oil and can be expensive to maintain. When it comes to driving in rain and snow, the 4 x 4 feature works really well. Overall, I feel like I was expecting better gas mileage based on the advertised 17 mpg in town, but I still enjoy driving this car.
