- Components: SERVICE BRAKES
- Summary: I have a 2023 trailblazer rs bought brand new. Currently has 12776 miles on it and for atleast the last 5000 miles I've noticed the breaks squeeling. Esp when I'm going slow speeds. I first thought maybe it was the weather or something. Moisture..whatever because this car is so new I just brushed it off. But it has progressively gotten worse and louder. Which is super frustrating when I'm picking my kids up in the pick up line and my car sounds 15+ years old when I'm rolling through and have to keep breaking. Squeeling in mine and everyone else's ear. I want this looked into a fixed. I had 2 kias before this that the engines blew from recalls they didn't wanna fix until it was to late. I'm a single mom who pays way to much to have a nice reliable car for there to be having issues already. I will be bringing it up to the dealership at my upcoming oil change. I refuse to be worried about the safety or reliability of this expensive new car..hauling my kids around.
Chevrolet Trailblazer 2021
- Date Of Incident: 2024-10-17
- Date Complaint: 2024-10-21
- VIN: KL79MPSL5MB
- Components: POWER TRAIN
- Summary: When attempting to park the car I am able to shift into park, however, I get a message on the dashboard to “shift to park”. Dashboard also shows a “p” to reflect car is in park creating a contradiction on the dashboard of displayed items. When this occurs the car will not shut off. Dealer service has indicated this is not producing an error code, they have had many complaints, and the issue is not covered by power train warranty and part is back ordered. I am very concerned about the safety of my vehicle given the indicated failures of the shifting mechanism and Chevrolets inability to remedy the issue due to unavailable parts.

- Date Complaint: 2024-10-18

- Summary: After placing the vehicle in park I get the “shift to park error”. I can’t leave the vehicle, or lock it. It can take any where from 5 to thirty minutes for it to actually read the shift. My car is now not reading my key 80% percent of the time. The vehicle turns off while driving down the road. Saying no “remote detected”. The key has been locked in the Car twice. Which should be impossible. I’ve been stranded outside of my vehicle at night in Atlanta for long periods of time. Trying to get the vehicle to unlock because it is not reading the key.

- Date Complaint: 2024-10-10
- VIN: KL79MUSL9NB

- Summary: For about a month now my vehicle is telling me to put it in park when it is already in park. Have to restart multiple times and go through all the gears put it back in park turn it off and still get the "shift to park" error. It does not happen every time I use my vehicle, but it happens so much I am unsure if it is safe to use. Even though it shows it is in park I wonder is it really? I have called the dealer where I purchased it for them to look at it and they will not even schedule an appointment because they say the parts are on back order and they have no idea when they will get them. This is the first brand new car I have purchased and after having a lot of secondhand vehicles I went back to Chevy. I am very disappointed in Chevy it only has 23000 miles on it, and they are not doing anything to fix this, I would not recommend Chevy/GMC to anyone.

Vehicle year: 2023
I would love to share my detailed review of my 2023 RS. Overall, it has been a good vehicle with plenty of space and headroom for the driver and passengers. The heated seats and steering wheel are incredibly warm and the touch screen is responsive with good resolution. Apple CarPlay connects wirelessly and there are plenty of USB ports, cup holders, and storage areas. Acceleration is decent from the 1.3L engine. However, there are a few areas that could be improved. The safety systems can be annoying and the forward emergency braking system is overly sensitive. Additionally, there are some squeaks and rattles that can be distracting, and the speakers could be better. Despite these minor issues, I am overall satisfied with my RS and would recommend it to others.I don't have the HD camera option, but the standard backup camera isn't very good. It's the lowest quality camera I've ever seen, and at night, it's seriously useless. In terms of fuel economy, I get 21.6 MPG on average, with 30 MPG on the highway and 14 MPG in the city (I do lots of idling at my job and city driving). It costs me around $40 to fill up from empty with gas at $3.79/gallon. Listen, for around $30,000, it's a pretty good little SUV. I'm happy that it's on a lease because I'm not sure how reliable the little 1.3L Turbo is going to be, but time will tell. If you can deal with some of the faults, it's going to be great for a small family or couple. You can load lots of items into it, and I've even thrown things up on the roof racks before. Overall, you'll be happy with it. If any problems or things change, I'll update my review.

We're thrilled with the 2023 Trailblazer! It's a blast to drive and meets all of our practical needs. Unlike some other brands, the turbocharger doesn't lag and it makes plenty of power for us with its little 3 cylinders.

I hope you and your family are doing well. I noticed that you mentioned needing more room, and I wanted to let you know that TrailBlazer might be a great option for you. It's a comfortable and safe SUV that's also really enjoyable to drive. Plus, it has plenty of space for everyone to stretch out and relax. Let me know if you have any questions or if you'd like to schedule a test drive!

Vehicle year: 2002
I hope you're doing well! I just wanted to share my experience with my TB. I bought it back in 2004 with 80k miles on it, and it was a rebuilt car. Now, in 2012, it has 160k miles on it and it's still going strong! It's been an awesome car that rarely breaks down, aside from the usual battery and tire replacements. The only issue I've noticed is that the window power is starting to break down, but overall it's been a great car. Even the fog lights are still working!

Well equipped for a base model. It's a great value if you plan on keeping it for 5 years or more. There's plenty of room and power, and it's highly reliable.

Hi there! I've been driving this vehicle for over a year now and I must say, I really enjoy it. It handles great, tows like a champ, and is super comfortable. Of course, like any vehicle, it's had a few issues. When I first got it, I had to replace the fuel pump which cost me $300. Then, I had to deal with a problem with the number 5 cylinder which set me back $3300. Now, at 94,000 miles, I've noticed a transmission leak on the line and the transmission is shifting a bit hard. It might need to be replaced, but I'm confident I'll get it sorted. Overall, I'm still really happy with my vehicle and I'm looking forward to many more miles on the road!

Vehicle year: 2006
Hi there! I hope you're doing well. I wanted to share my experience with my 2006 Trailblazer. Recently, my check engine light came on and I took it in to get checked out. Unfortunately, they found that it was misfiring in the cylinders and replacing just one didn't fix the issue. The good news is that they were able to get it covered under warranty and replaced the whole head and gaskets. However, the light has come back on and they are saying it may be a parts problem. They need to order the same part again, which will cost around $6,000. My warranty is up in just two months, so I've decided to trade in the vehicle. I've heard that my cousin has had similar problems with their Trailblazer, and the service manager mentioned that it may be a problem with the in-line 6 engine in this vehicle. Thanks for listening!

I purchased this vehicle back in February and it ran great for five months. Unfortunately, in the last month, I have had to spend $1850 on repairs, including the accelerator pedal position sensor, the computer, and the thermostat, all within a week of each other. Recently, it has been stalling on me, but the shop has been unable to find anything wrong with it. They are hoping it will stall on them so they can diagnose the issue. Despite these issues, I do appreciate the size of the vehicle as a musician. However, in hindsight, I should have gone with the Pathfinder!

Hi there! Yesterday, I had a bit of trouble with my vehicle. After parking it, I found that it wouldn't go into gear. I could feel the gear shift slipping and not engaging in any position. I checked the transmission fluid and it was full. My vehicle only has 36,000 miles on it. Luckily, a kind gentleman offered to help. He mentioned that he worked for a Chevy dealer and that the belt sometimes slips off of the gear shift, which is a very common issue. He also mentioned that the dealer might suggest getting a new belt, but it can actually be put right back on. In fact, he fixed it right there in the parking lot with a pair of scissors! Has anyone else experienced this issue with their vehicle? Other than this, we are very satisfied with our TB and haven't had any other issues. Let me know if you have any advice or suggestions. Thanks!
