The Chevrolet Trailblazer (9BYC) is a subcompact crossover SUV produced by General Motors under the Chevrolet brand since 2020. It is the smallest crossover from Chevrolet, slotting below the Trax.
Overview
The Trailblazer was launched on April 16, 2019, at the 18th Shanghai International Automobile Industry Exhibition alongside the Tracker, that replaced the outgoing Trax. The Trailblazer is aimed for developed markets, while the Tracker is aimed for emerging markets. Developed by GM Korea, the Trailblazer is assembled in Incheon, South Korea, while the Chinese-market model is produced in Yantai, Shandong, China, by SAIC-GM.
The Trailblazer made its North American debut at the Los Angeles Auto Show in November 2019, and sales began in early 2020 as a 2021 model year vehicle. There are five trim levels available: L, LS, LT, Activ, and RS. The latter two came standard with dual exhaust and top of the line features. The Activ and RS models also feature a contrasting color roof.
It was launched in the Philippines in October 2021. Imported from South Korea, it notably reused the nameplate from the previous Colorado-based Trailblazer which was discontinued in the same year.
On January 16, 2020, the Trailblazer was launched in South Korea. The Korean-market model is larger in dimension than Trailblazers sold in other markets, with a length of 4,425 mm (174.2 in) and width of 1,810 mm (71.3 in).

- Summary: I have a 2023 trailblazer rs bought brand new. Currently has 12776 miles on it and for atleast the last 5000 miles I've noticed the breaks squeeling. Esp when I'm going slow speeds. I first thought maybe it was the weather or something. Moisture..whatever because this car is so new I just brushed it off. But it has progressively gotten worse and louder. Which is super frustrating when I'm picking my kids up in the pick up line and my car sounds 15+ years old when I'm rolling through and have to keep breaking. Squeeling in mine and everyone else's ear. I want this looked into a fixed. I had 2 kias before this that the engines blew from recalls they didn't wanna fix until it was to late. I'm a single mom who pays way to much to have a nice reliable car for there to be having issues already. I will be bringing it up to the dealership at my upcoming oil change. I refuse to be worried about the safety or reliability of this expensive new car..hauling my kids around.

I am very disappointed in Chevy it only has 23000 miles on it, and they are not doing anything to fix this, I would not recommend Chevy/GMC to anyone.

But the shift lever is in park. You are unable to move the shift lever. I don't know the exact date it first started happening but I believe it was at the beginning of the year.

- Summary: 05/29/24 I took this vehicle to Cronic Chevrolet in Griffin, Ga due to check engine light being on. Code detected purge pump it was still under warranty at that time only had 43,906 miles on had to get the purge pump replaced. Several weeks after getting it back I kept getting a shift to park message come up when trying to put it in park then started having trouble getting it to go into drive. I have had so many close calls from people almost bashing into me because my car will not go into drive and you constantly have to switch in and out of gears for it to finally go in. Its sucking the had right out due to it not shifting gears properly. The code reader detected transmission control module which I find to be faulty and understand there are serval recalls on this specific vehicle , when it started this issue it didn’t even have 50,000 miles on it!

The TrailBlazer is a great alternative to a crew cab pickup truck. It is a reliable off-roader, an excellent tow vehicle, and can be purchased at a reasonable price. The locking differential and skidplate are essential for any towing or off-roading activities. Although the TrailBlazer doesn't handle as well as a Highlander or Pilot, it can tow more weight and has superior truck-like capabilities. The roof rack is sturdy and functional, easily accommodating my kayak and supplies (300 lbs). The mileage is decent, averaging around 22 on the highway and 17 in town. If fuel efficiency is a concern, a crossover may be a better option. The tight turning circle makes it easier to park than my Mazda 6. Don't forget to bargain hard!

I've owned this truck since 2007, when I bought it as a birthday gift for myself. It has an impressive 198,000 miles on the clock, but it still runs like it's brand new. I've always made sure to keep up with the necessary maintenance, although I have had to replace a few things over the years, such as the batteries, fuel tank sensor (which was recalled and I got my money back), tires, water pump (twice), alternator, rear hatch shocks, and some front end parts (struts, control arms, bearings, etc.). Despite all of this, I absolutely love my truck and wouldn't trade it for anything else. Although I know that one day I'll have to replace it, I'm not looking forward to that day...

My parents purchased a 2006 4WD LS Trailblazer from a used car lot in 2007/2008 when it had about 20K-30K miles on it. We have owned the vehicle since 2010 and it has been a great SUV for us. As someone who had never owned an SUV before, it took me a little while to get used to the low gas mileage, but it has been a lifesaver during heavy snow and icy conditions in Pennsylvania. The vehicle is about to hit 200,000 miles and I am hoping to keep it for at least another 20K miles, unless there is a costly major repair needed. I have replaced the engine belt at 187K miles, the front struts, all 4 rotors recently, and the belt tensioner twice (which was only a $15 part). The O2 sensor has been replaced once and I am currently ordering a thermostat for the engine (and a rear tail-light, as my wife backed into a car yesterday while out shopping). The Inline 6 engine is highly rated and I have never had any issues with it. Although the rear struts need to be replaced, the vehicle still passes state inspection and each time the mechanics mention how great of condition it is in. My only complaints with this vehicle are that the interior looks cheap on our LS model. The dash is made of hard plastic and the rear speakers have been out for over a year. Overall, I love this vehicle and would consider buying another one even though they are pretty old. What a great ride! It's so smooth and effortless on the highway, even when hauling a full load with the V-6 engine. Plus, it comfortably seats six large men. While the DVD player may cause some restricted visibility, the rear views handle the blind spots well. I especially love how the radio volume gently increases with the interior db level. And let's not forget the theater seating - it's fantastic!

I picked up my Trailblazer on August 8, 2020 and I am so impressed with the style, handling and features on this car! The RS series with Bose Stereo and glass moon roof are just amazing, and there are too many functions to mention. Plus, the gas mileage is great - I'm averaging 28 mpg around town, and 38 on the highway!

This SUV is one of the most comfortable rides I've experienced. It handles very well, although the 4WD may not be sufficient in extreme conditions. If you plan to push it to its limits, it's best to opt for the locking rear differential. While the interior may be a bit drab, the large controls are very user-friendly, and the numerous rear storage compartments are quite useful. Although the workmanship of the vehicle is only okay, it's still a great choice. However, after only 4 years of ownership, I've noticed that the door moldings are working their way loose, and rust is developing from the inside-out along the bottoms of the doors. The taillight lenses and license plate lights also let in far too much moisture. Overall, I would still recommend this SUV for its comfort and user-friendly features.

However, a couple of years after we got it, we had some issues with the mile reader and the gas gauge. Unfortunately, the cost to repair these issues was quite high, so I've been driving the SUV based on mileage instead. I reached out to Chevrolet for help, but unfortunately, they couldn't cover the repairs due to the warranty being expired. However, just recently, I received a letter from Chevrolet offering to cover 50% of the cost to repair the gas gauge. I hope you're doing well! I just wanted to share my experience with my truck. I bought it almost brand new in 2006, but unfortunately, within 2 months the struts went out. Then, the radiator had some issues, and to top it all off, I had to get a new motor in 2009. I was quite surprised by all these problems, and I couldn't help but wonder how one truck could have so many issues. I purchased my Trailblazer in October of 2022. Unfortunately, I have had some issues with the car and it has spent a significant amount of time in the dealership for repairs. The brakes have been a particular concern as the car has stopped unexpectedly, even at high speeds. This has been a dangerous situation and despite the dealership's efforts, they have not been able to fix the problem. After seeking legal advice, GM has acknowledged that the car falls under the Lemon Law. While this has been a frustrating experience and has cost me thousands of dollars, I am hopeful that the situation will be resolved soon.

I purchased my TB brand new with only 21 miles on the odometer. Despite encountering some issues with the computer system and a strange noise coming from the wheels when reversing, I was able to get these problems resolved by the dealership. Although the trade-in value of the car was not as high as I had hoped, I still believe that the TB is a reliable vehicle that can provide a great driving experience. I would recommend it to anyone looking for a dependable car.
