The Cadillac CTS is a luxury car, manufactured and marketed by General Motors from 2003 until 2019 across three generations.

Initially available as a 4-door sedan on the GM Sigma platform, GM had offered the second generation CTS in three body styles: 4-door sedan, 2-door coupe, and 5-door sport wagon also using the Sigma platform — and the third generation was offered only as a sedan, using a stretched version of the GM Alpha platform. High performance sedan variants were offered for each generation, as the CTS-V — with wagon and coupe variants offered for the second generation.

Wayne Cherry and Kip Wasenko designed the exterior of the first generation CTS, marking the production debut of a design language marketed as "Art and Science," first used on the Evoq concept car. John Manoogian III directed the second generation CTS design. Bob Boniface and Robin Krieg designed the exterior of the third generation CTS.

The CTS ended production in 2019 and was replaced by the CT5, which shared its platform with the third and final generation of the CTS in addition to the smaller CT4.

Positive 2005 Cadillac Cts-v car reviews

Cadillac can be proud! If BMW, Lexus, and Jaguar drivers want to test out their expectations for their next luxury performance sedan, they better put this at the top of their list. The horsepower, styling, and interior make this a must-drive. Perhaps old biases against Cadillac will melt away. The party's over for European entries that have long dominated.

  2. Maurice Rohan 2025-02-06

I bought the CTS-V to replace my adolescent-looking '04 Mustang GT. The CTS-V provides me with the professional look my company demands, without sacrificing road-bending horsepower! It outperforms all those tiny foreign roadsters that the overweight VPs in my company squeeze into!

  3. Bobbie Glover 2025-01-21

For the heart of a Corvette, this thing still gets great mileage and is extremely civil. But when you open it up, it's a whole different beast.

  4. Cletus Gottlieb 2025-01-12

The Cadillac CTS-V is an amazing car! It's perfect for those nice days when you want to feel the rush of adrenaline. I love everything about it, and it's great to know that it's American-made! If you're looking for a well-built, unbelievably quick machine, the V is definitely worth considering!

  5. Mavis Kuhic 2025-01-04

Although I've had some negative experiences with BMWs in the past, I have been thoroughly impressed with my Cadillac CTS-V. Over the course of 22 months and 30,000 miles, I have not had to replace the tires or deal with any warranty issues. During the winter months, I use snow tires and rotate them every 5,000 miles. While my 350Z has had its fair share of problems with tires and radios, my CTS-V has remained in excellent condition with no loose parts. It does require some skill to drive, so it may not be the best fit for everyone.
