The Cadillac CTS is a luxury car, manufactured and marketed by General Motors from 2003 until 2019 across three generations.

Initially available as a 4-door sedan on the GM Sigma platform, GM had offered the second generation CTS in three body styles: 4-door sedan, 2-door coupe, and 5-door sport wagon also using the Sigma platform — and the third generation was offered only as a sedan, using a stretched version of the GM Alpha platform. High performance sedan variants were offered for each generation, as the CTS-V — with wagon and coupe variants offered for the second generation.

Wayne Cherry and Kip Wasenko designed the exterior of the first generation CTS, marking the production debut of a design language marketed as "Art and Science," first used on the Evoq concept car. John Manoogian III directed the second generation CTS design. Bob Boniface and Robin Krieg designed the exterior of the third generation CTS.

The CTS ended production in 2019 and was replaced by the CT5, which shared its platform with the third and final generation of the CTS in addition to the smaller CT4.

Negative 2011 Cadillac Cts-v car reviews

  1. Wiley Abbott 2024-01-08

When this car was designed, the manufacturers had all the right ideas for both performance and appearance. It's a great looking car, but unfortunately, I've had some issues with it. I bought the car new last October and have already put 50,000 km on the odometer. One month ago, they changed the supercharger, and just two weeks ago, they had to order new chims for the differential due to a recall. Today, they informed me that they need to change the transmission. Additionally, they quoted me £700 just for the front brake pads (and that's just for the parts), and £300 for the rear. All in all, given the price, I expected more reliability!

How can I help you get started? This car boasts a 556 horsepower 6.2 liter v8 engine that's supercharged and can still accommodate four passengers, making it a great family car. While it may not have the best gas mileage, it's still better than many other cars. The entertainment system is comparable to those found in cars that are half a decade newer! The trunk space is decent, but if you need more, you can always opt for the wagon model. The only downside is that it sits low to the ground and can scrape, but that's to be expected with a sedan. If you're looking for a comfortable car that can still perform well on the drag strip or track while accommodating your family, this is the car for you. It's like all the negatives of a Corvette have been removed. Some people may find it unattractive, but wrapping the silver/chrome in black and adding dark wooden interior can make a huge difference in the car's appearance!

The 2010 Cadillac CTS-V review-Bottom line is this car is extremely fast, strikingly good looking inside and out, and left me feeling like a king on the road. Its top-notch specs left me in awe to say the least. I would definitely recommend anyone who has the means to buy one of these and experience it for themselves. The exterior of the car is simply stunning, with an eloquent design that also has a sporty edge. The 19

What else can I say other than, 'I absolutely love this car. Wahoo!!!'

  4. Connor Reinger 2024-09-24

I traded in my 2008 BMW M3 coupe for a full boat 09 CTS-V auto. I had been eyeing this car for a while, but needed more space, so I finally made the move. The looks of this car are terrific and simply unparalleled by the competition. What I noticed about this car is the obvious thrust/torque that goes with its monster engine. However, I also noticed that the car starts to handle and steer better as you increase speed. The suspension seems to set up better, steering more responsive and crisp. My only gripe is (don't forget, coming out of an M3) that there are a lot more creaks and noises coming from interior parts and the seats. Overall, it's a great car for GM, but it still has some way to go to match the DNA of the best cars on the road.

  5. Ole Mosciski 2024-08-25

I recently purchased the CTS-V 2010 and everywhere I went, someone wanted to know if that was the new 'V'. They were very impressed by the look, interior style, and sound. The ride is plush, with a rocket for a motor, and the acceleration is just awesome. I also own a 2006 SRT 10 Ram 'Viper powered' that I bought new and added aftermarket products to. Although the truck is awesome for acceleration and handling, it has nothing on the CTS-V. Both are eye-catchers, but the CTS-V is a head taller. The ride, comfort, interior design, music, and performance are just outstanding in the V. If you are ready for the ride of your life, buy one or make friends with someone who has a CTS-V because any seat is the ride of your life.
