Like all Audi "S" cars, they are only available with Audi's quattro four-wheel drive (4WD) system, here in S5 using a Torsen-based centre diff system.
Most versions of the S5 are manufactured at Audi's plant in Ingolstadt, Germany; they are available as a coupé, cabriolet, and five-door sportback, which was previously not available in North America until the 2018 model year, which was released in the United States in mid 2017. I HAD THE CAR TOWED TO A LOCAL DEALER, WHERE IT WAS DETERMINED THAT THE FUEL PUMP HAD FAILED AT A LITTLE OVER 23,000 MILES. ONE MECHANIC THERE SAID THAT THIS TYPE OF FUEL PUMP IN THIS CAR WAS KNOWN TO FAIL IN THE AMERICAN SOUTHWEST DUE TO REGIONAL HIGH TEMPERATURES; I HAVE NO WAY TO VERIFY THAT. I CAN UPLOAD THE REPAIR PAPERWORK IF THAT IS HELPFUL.

This convertible is very attractive and user-friendly. The canvas top can be lowered with just the push of a button, without the need for levers or snaps, and can even be done while the car is in motion. For added safety, the car has hidden roll bars that pop up if the car is headed over. Additionally, the quattro drive makes driving in the rain much safer. The wind screen provides a great top-down driving experience, similar to driving with a huge sunroof. However, please note that the back seat is not usable with the screen deployed. Also, be cautious of the front valance, which is just a few inches off the ground and can be easily scraped if you get too close to the curb.

I recently purchased the Audi S5 and had a tough decision to make between the supercharged V6 and the V8. After conducting thorough research, I found out that the V6 is more fuel-efficient by 2-3 miles per gallon on average. This translates to a saving of about $2000 over 5 years if you drive 15,000 miles annually. However, I ultimately went with the V8 because I test drove both engines and found that it sounded and felt better. Personally, I enjoy feeling the gears change and shift as it makes me feel like I'm driving a rocket. The car is stunning, handles superbly, and has a well-appointed interior. It boasts elegance, beauty, performance, solid build quality, and a refined, ergonomic interior that matches or even exceeds its competitors. In fact, short of the R8, this is the best overall handling production Audi. Its 0-60 times are as follows: 4.9 seconds from standstill, 4.7 seconds with S-mode, and 4.5 seconds with a 1-foot roll-out in S-mode. Additionally, it gets an impressive 24-26 mpg on the highway.

I absolutely love my S5! It caught my eye at the airport and I knew I had to have it. Everywhere I go, people turn their heads to admire it. I live in the Dallas area and have only seen a few others on the road since I purchased it 8 months ago. The dealership added Stasis, which I wouldn't have chosen myself, but my husband loves it and it really adds to the experience. The engine roar is unbelievable and, coming from a quiet Lexus, it took some getting used to, but now I can't imagine driving anything else. As a fairly aggressive driver, I really appreciate the handling and maneuverability of this car.
