The Cadillac CTS is a luxury car, manufactured and marketed by General Motors from 2003 until 2019 across three generations.

Initially available as a 4-door sedan on the GM Sigma platform, GM had offered the second generation CTS in three body styles: 4-door sedan, 2-door coupe, and 5-door sport wagon also using the Sigma platform — and the third generation was offered only as a sedan, using a stretched version of the GM Alpha platform. High performance sedan variants were offered for each generation, as the CTS-V — with wagon and coupe variants offered for the second generation.

Wayne Cherry and Kip Wasenko designed the exterior of the first generation CTS, marking the production debut of a design language marketed as "Art and Science," first used on the Evoq concept car. John Manoogian III directed the second generation CTS design. Bob Boniface and Robin Krieg designed the exterior of the third generation CTS.

The CTS ended production in 2019 and was replaced by the CT5, which shared its platform with the third and final generation of the CTS in addition to the smaller CT4.

Positive 2010 Cadillac Cts-v car reviews

  1. Herman Mueller 2024-11-10

I've owned several Vettes, BMW's and many specialty cars, but I have to say, I've never driven something as much fun as this! Push the pedal and go...quickly! It'll blister the tires on command and drives through corners on a rail, always asking for more. Don't count on good gas mileage, but who cares when it's this much fun to push the accelerator? I'll likely keep this car forever!

  2. Cristian Pagac 2024-10-27

The vehicle is amazing! It's the only American car that I would consider purchasing. The power is incredible, yet it's still easy to drive within reason. On my road trip from Indiana to Kansas City, I got an impressive 21.6 miles per gallon with an average speed of 76 miles per hour. I'm really impressed with the features, although I do need to return to the dealership to have some trim items tightened up. A slightly smaller steering wheel like the one in my Evo X Mr that I traded would be perfect. And did I mention the engine sounds so good? Plus, the insurance on this vehicle is even less than my 2008 Evo Mr. Go Caddy!!!

  3. David Zieme 2024-10-12

What else can I say other than, 'I absolutely love this car. Wahoo!!!'

  4. Ralph Kulas 2024-10-03

I traded in my 2008 BMW M3 coupe for a full boat 09 CTS-V auto. I had been eyeing this car for a while, but needed more space, so I finally made the move. The looks of this car are terrific and simply unparalleled by the competition. What I noticed about this car is the obvious thrust/torque that goes with its monster engine. However, I also noticed that the car starts to handle and steer better as you increase speed. The suspension seems to set up better, steering more responsive and crisp. My only gripe is (don't forget, coming out of an M3) that there are a lot more creaks and noises coming from interior parts and the seats. Overall, it's a great car for GM, but it still has some way to go to match the DNA of the best cars on the road.

  5. Geovanni Sawayn 2024-10-01

How can I help you get started? This car boasts a 556 horsepower 6.2 liter v8 engine that's supercharged and can still accommodate four passengers, making it a great family car. While it may not have the best gas mileage, it's still better than many other cars. The entertainment system is comparable to those found in cars that are half a decade newer! The trunk space is decent, but if you need more, consider the wagon model. The only downside is that it's low to the ground and can scrape, but that's to be expected with a sedan. If you're looking for a comfortable car that can still perform well on the drag strip or track while accommodating your family, this is the car for you. It's like all the negatives of a Corvette have been removed. Some people may find it unattractive, but wrapping the silver/chrome in black and adding dark wooden interior can make it look amazing!
