The Cadillac CTS is a luxury car, manufactured and marketed by General Motors from 2003 until 2019 across three generations.
Initially available as a 4-door sedan on the GM Sigma platform, GM had offered the second generation CTS in three body styles: 4-door sedan, 2-door coupe, and 5-door sport wagon also using the Sigma platform — and the third generation was offered only as a sedan, using a stretched version of the GM Alpha platform. High performance sedan variants were offered for each generation, as the CTS-V — with wagon and coupe variants offered for the second generation.
Wayne Cherry and Kip Wasenko designed the exterior of the first generation CTS, marking the production debut of a design language marketed as "Art and Science," first used on the Evoq concept car. John Manoogian III directed the second generation CTS design. Bob Boniface and Robin Krieg designed the exterior of the third generation CTS.
The CTS ended production in 2019 and was replaced by the CT5, which shared its platform with the third and final generation of the CTS in addition to the smaller CT4.

- Summary: General Motors LLC (GM) is recalling certain model year 2004-2007 Cadillac CTS-V vehicles manufactured between September 6, 2003, and June 11, 2007, currently registered, or originally sold, in Connecticut, Delaware, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Vermont, West Virginia, Wisconsin and the District of Columbia. In the affected vehicles, snow or water containing road salt or other contaminants may corrode the front brake hose fitting at the caliper.
- Consequence: Corrosion may cause the brake system to leak which could lengthen the distance needed to stop the vehicle and increase the risk of a crash.
- Remedy: GM will notify owners, and dealers will replace both front brake hose assemblies, free of charge. The recall began on May 8, 2015. Owners may contact Cadillac customer service at 1-800-458-8006. GM's number for this recall is 15149. Note: This recall is an expansion of recall 10V-105.

As a previous Porsche Boxster and BMW M5 owner, I was pleasantly surprised by the American-made CADILLAC. As a 40-year-old former European-make snob, I was looking for a family sedan and performance vehicle that wouldn't break my kid's college fund. The CADILLAC exceeded my expectations during the test drive. Its 400hp matched my M5, and shifting was a breeze. The handling is excellent. I would highly recommend this car to any M5 owner who is looking for an alternative.

Hi there! I just wanted to share my experience with my 2005 CTS-V. It's an amazing vehicle that can be purchased at a reasonable price. Mine still has a full MasterGuard GMPP Warranty, which gives me peace of mind. I get many positive comments on my black V, and it's so much fun to drive! The 6-speed is phenomenal, although it can be a little bulky in traffic. Overall, it's a very smooth and dignified car that fits my family perfectly. If you're considering a CTS-V, I would recommend looking into post-2005 models, as the 05's have rear differential issues that were addressed in 06. (Mine has been replaced.) Thanks for reading!

I've always owned sports cars, usually European. This car, however, surpasses all the others I've had. Its performance is outstanding, and the cockpit is both austere and attractive. If you're looking for larger drink holders, this might not be the car for you. Personally, I had the computer 'custom blueprinted' and removed the 1-4th gear interlock in the computer program. With Michelin Pilot Sport tires, the car runs like a dream.

I replaced my old 2000 Lincoln LS with a brand new Cadillac CTS-V and I couldn't be happier! While I briefly considered another LS, I found it to be quite dull and unexciting, with no significant changes from the 2000 model. The CTS-V, on the other hand, is anything but boring! It offers exceptional performance and driving pleasure, and the sound system is simply amazing. I'm also really enjoying the navigation system, which is spoiling me with its convenience. But perhaps the best thing about the CTS-V is how it makes me feel like a kid again!

After owning the car for a couple of years, I wanted to share my thoughts on it. I have driven both engines, Ls2 and Ls6, and I must say that the Ls6 is a bit faster on the top end. As a daily driver, this car is good fun and provides a great American driving experience. While I have owned several GM built cars over the years, I am now considering other brands because competitors have built some truly superior cars. I do have some criticisms, however. The shifter is a bit too much effort and the suspension is not as forgiving as I would like. While the V may not be on the same level as the AMG and M5, those cars are known for being fast and comfortable, and the driver feels connected to the car. With the V, it feels like you are in a product that is not quite up to par.

During my first month of ownership, the radio had to be replaced. Unfortunately, the keyless entry stopped working after only 6 months. Additionally, there was a strange 'thud' noise when applying the brakes that had to be fixed - I am still not sure what caused it. The design of the car is quite low to the ground, which may be why the 'plastic' front strip became loose and I accidentally ran over it. While the engine has power, it is not equally distributed over the wheelbase, resulting in unsightly 'black' soot on my chrome wheels. Despite these issues, I still think the car looks really good. However, I do believe that it is not worth the money for all the little quirks that need to be worked out. This experience has made me reconsider purchasing another GM car in the future.
