- Summary: I've taken my truck in 3 times for a problem with the driver seat having excessive play. Whenever I stop at a light or pull off the seat rocks back and forth. Each time I've taken it in to the dealership they tell me that it is a seat track issue and that if I raise my seat the play will lessen? I've tried that and it still didn't correct the issue. This problem has gotten progressively worse and I'm worried that the seat is going to collapse completely one day when I stop or pull off. I've driven different Tundras of friends and relatives and those trucks don't have this problem. I feel like this is a major safety issue and Toyota should correct this issue or replace the seat track. The first time took it in for this issue was on 7-12-2021 and the last time I took it in for this issue was 23-Jan-2024 .

The next oil change I took it in and they said it was the frame, bottom of seat, and they ordered one and it’s been on back order a year now or thereabouts. Now I’ve owned the truck for over a year and a half and still no resolution. If an accident occurs will the seat completely break and fling me out of the vehicle? My boyfriend recently purchased a stunning brand new (500 miles) Tundra SR5, which is a beautiful truck. It's white, lifted with black rims, and looks amazing. However, I'm currently in an argument with him because my legs are going numb from sitting in the passenger seat. Unfortunately, it doesn't even have the lever that lets you raise and lower the seat, which is a feature that most other brand new vehicles have. Considering the amount of money he paid for it, I don't think it's fair that I'm sitting here, halfway sliding out of this perfectly horizontal seat, with no way of fixing it. I'm even looking up seat covers with inserts that will raise my legs up so I won't be so uncomfortable. I wouldn't recommend this truck to anyone who wants any kind of bells and whistles, or even someone who is vertically challenged. However, my boyfriend loves it, and the lifetime warranty offered by Hendrick made it the best buy for him. Overall, I think it's important to test drive a vehicle before making a purchase to ensure that it meets all of your needs and preferences.

The engineer who designed the bumper made it crooked. They also hid the starter button and switches under the dash. Additionally, the wipers fly over the windshield when it's icy.
