Both the Model X and Model S are produced at the Tesla Factory in Fremont, California. The prototype was unveiled at Tesla's design studios in Hawthorne, California on February 9, 2012. First deliveries of the Model X began in September 2015. After one full year on the market, in 2016, the Model X ranked seventh among the world's best-selling plug-in cars. A refresh of the Tesla Model X was introduced in 2021, offering a new "Plaid" performance model, along with a revised interior, powertrain, and suspension.
As of September 2023, the Model X is available as a Long-Range version with an estimated EPA range of 348 miles (560 km) and a high performance "Plaid" version with an estimated EPA range of 333 miles (536 km).

The Model X is incredibly spacious! In fact, we were able to comfortably fit two midsized dogs in boxes in the trunk, two teenagers in the back, and everyone's stuff for a winter vacation in the 5-seater. It's perfect for trips! The car has a fun and futuristic feel, and it's only slightly more expensive than the S. While some may find the falcon doors to be a bit unique, we personally love them. They're extremely practical compared to normal doors, and we've had no serious repairs over the 15 months we've owned it. Any minor issues, such as wind noise from a door or a dropped sensor, were fixed quickly and with a free loaner car to try. The only thing to note is that the paint may require a wrap if you're concerned about its longevity.

I really like this vehicle! It has so many great features like the driver door that opens for you, the bell that rings when the light changes to green, and the AWD that works so well in the snow. The cameras also show really useful information and the acceleration is almost instant. However, I do have some concerns about the actions of the CEO.

I'm glad to hear that you're enjoying your vehicle so much that you're planning on purchasing another one after the lease is up! However, I noticed that you had some trouble with the tires. It seems that the Model X is quite heavy and has a lot of torque, which can be tough on tires. The factory Continental tires started to separate and pulled to the right, and the tire dealer advised that passenger car tires have not advanced enough to handle the load. It's important to keep in mind that the Model X has 2 different size tires on the front and back, so replacing all 4 tires can be quite costly at approximately $1600. Perhaps in the future, Tesla can work with tire manufacturers to develop a tire that can handle the excessive weight. Thank you for sharing your experience with us!

I would have loved to take it, but unfortunately, I couldn't due to some circumstances.

Best car I've seen. It's comfortable and has a good range. I highly recommend it.

I recently purchased a Model X from Tesla, which came with a warranty that includes the battery. The car is rated for 237 miles of range, but unfortunately, I have been experiencing some issues. Within four days of purchase, I noticed that I am only getting 40 miles on a full charge, which is far less than expected. Additionally, the car seems to be losing 24 miles of range per day even when it's not being driven, which is much higher than the 5-10 miles per day that is typically expected. Despite my concerns, Tesla's service support team has informed me that this is normal and that my car's battery is actually outperforming the average Model X. As a result, I am feeling frustrated and disappointed with my purchase. I believe that the advertising was misleading and that the warranty support has been poor. I hope that Tesla can address these issues and provide better support for their customers in the future.
Oliver Gutkowski 2024-07-14
The car's road noise and battery life are subpar, and the cabin materials and seat comfort leave something to be desired.
Jaylen Heidenreich 2024-05-25
I purchased the X brand new in 2019 with the long distance range (approx. 320 miles) from Scottsdale, AZ. While the car has some great features such as being fast, HOV lane access, and a quiet engine, there are some downsides to consider. The distance range is not as advertised, and the cabin noise can be quite loud when driving on the freeway. Additionally, the interior quality is not up to par with other luxury cars in the same price range. For the cost, the seats and interiors should be more comfortable and luxurious. While my experience with the X was not ideal, I am grateful that I did not purchase one for my wife as well. Super charging stations can also be difficult to find and can take a while to charge. Overall, while the X has some great features, the downsides make it hard to justify the high price tag.

While driving on the highway, my car suddenly shut down, leaving me without Bluetooth and sound. Despite my frustration, I contacted Tesla for assistance. Although they requested my VIN number, I was able to provide it and they were able to help me resolve the issue. While the situation was stressful, I appreciate Tesla's commitment to ensuring their customers' safety. While there may have been some miscommunication during the call, I am confident in Tesla's ability to provide excellent customer service and support. Moving forward, I will be sure to keep my VIN number handy in case of any future issues.

Please ensure that ROAD NOISE and leaky windows are checked thoroughly. The construction quality of the building appears to be poor, with many flaws. I would rate it 1/5 stars.
