I HAVE CONTACTED THE DEALERSHIP NUMEROUS TIMES ABOUT VARIOUS ISSUES THE VEHICLE HAS HAD SINCE THE FIRST DAY OF TAKING IT OFF THE LOT, YET THE DEALER REFUSES TO CORRECT ANY ISSUES. WHILE I WAS DRIVING HOME FROM WORK ON ROUTE 65 IN MID JANUARY, THE VEHICLE BEGIN TO VIOLENTLY JERK AND BUCK, WHILE LOOSING SPEED. I PULLED THE VEHICLE OVER AND TURNED IT OFF, WHILE STILL ON THE HIGHWAY. I LET THE VEHICLE SIT, HAVING TO THE VEHICLE TOWED TO BE DIAGNOSED. ONCE THE VEHICLE WAS DIAGNOSED, I FOUND THAT THE VEHICLE WOULD NEED A NEW ENGINE. AFTER GETTING A SECOND OPINION, I FOUND THAT THE TIMING CHAINS WERE PROBABLY THE ISSUE. I BEGAN TO CONDUCT RESEARCH ON THE VEHICLE ITSELF AND FOUND THAT THE TIMING CHAINS WERE CHANGED AT 97K. NOW I AM STUCK WITH PAYING ON A DEFECTIVE UNSAFE VEHICLE.

This SUV is the best value for your money. I looked at smaller SUVs that had no room behind the supposed 3rd row, which was only suitable for a pet. Additionally, if you were to get hit from behind while your kids were in the third row, it would be quite dangerous. I needed something that could comfortably seat both kids and adults, while also having enough room behind the third row for luggage, groceries, and other items. This SUV met all of my requirements! With the rebates and incentives, I was able to get a discount of 8k off the sticker price. It's hard to find anything else that can match this value for the price!

Just bought mine used (6,000 Miles) from a major dealer. I'm so glad I did! It's got great style, power, and interior space. I love the fit and finish, and the best part is that I got it for 40% less than the list price when it was new. It's a fantastic car for families, with side airbags and plenty of storage space.

Purchased a 2008 luxury trim model for the wife. So far, so good! I'm glad to hear that she likes the comfy seats with heaters and the smooth car-like ride. The AWD is definitely a Godsend on our horrific unfinished roads. Plus, the smooth and powerful 3.6L engine with excellent 5 speed auto trans is a great bonus!

I was looking for an SUV/Cross Over that had lots of room, some bells & whistles, and a nice ride for a good price. After two months of looking I chose the Suzuki XL7. I found a used 2008 with just over 10,000 miles for under $16,000. It has good engine power, huge cargo capacity, and is a pleasure to drive. It has plenty of amenities right down to the padded area below the ignition so your keys won't make noise as they hit the steering column. It's very comfortable and handles great. On a recent trip we averaged 26mpg with the air on for half the trip. We get 17mpg around town. The AWD will come in handy in the winter here in PA. Be sure to test drive one of these before you buy.

I bought this car for my wife and I'm not disappointed. The XL-7 looks great inside and out. I would recommend it to any family and friends planning to buy a great mid-size SUV!

Reading through these reviews has opened my eyes to a few things. I tried opening my passenger side door and found myself standing outside of the vehicle holding the door handle in my hand. I see others have had the same thing happen and my locks can be tricky sometimes. Now I realize the locks must not be great to begin with if it's happening on other XL-7's. My last complaint is the fenders. I read others have had their fenders start to pull out of place, which has happened on both front fenders of my Suzuki. However, it has amazing space, including a 3rd row. My kids can control their heat/air from the back seat, and the vents are on the roof so they don't play with them; they stay in the position I put them in. I like the rear wiper blade; it's nice to have in a 3rd row to make it easier to see in snow/rain. There is a charger port in the backseat as well, which comes in handy for kids and their electronics. There is a lot of space when putting down the seats. The back hatch opens very nicely, but I had one problem with it slowly shutting itself; it only happened one time. I bought my Suzuki used and over 5 years old, but have read that even a few years newer have the same issues: locks, fenders, door handle, and sensors. So, it must be a common problem, and I wouldn't purchase this vehicle for any more than half of the price it's worth because of the problems. However, I do recommend buying it if it's at a low cost or reduced price because it seems to have no major issues and is a nice family vehicle when all the little things aren't going wrong. Hi there! I hope you're doing well. I wanted to share my experience with my XL-7 car that I purchased three years ago. While I initially thought it was the perfect car for me, I found that after only 30,000 miles, I was ready to move on. Unfortunately, I experienced some issues with the car such as peeling paint, broken locks, and falling apart levers. Additionally, I found that lights and sensors would come on unexpectedly. I also found that the factory tires were not the best quality. Overall, I didn't feel like it was a good value for me. Thanks for listening!

Hi there! I hope you're doing well. I wanted to share my experience with my Suzuki car. When I was looking for a new car, I did a lot of research and initially didn't consider Suzuki. However, I found a great deal on a Suzuki with very low mileage, and since it was my first nice car, I decided to go for it. At first, I was really excited about my purchase, but unfortunately, after two years, I've been experiencing some issues. Recently, the paint on the roof and hood has started to crack and chip off in big chunks. I reached out to Suzuki, but unfortunately, they won't fix it because it's out of the 36,000-mile warranty. It's really frustrating, and I wouldn't recommend buying from them because of this issue alone. Thanks for listening to my experience!

I hope you're doing well! I wanted to share my experience with my car. I've had it for two weeks now and I've noticed that I've been spending around $130.00 on gas just from driving around town, which averages to about 24 miles per day. I took it to Suzuki to see if there was anything wrong with it, but they couldn't find anything. Interestingly, I spoke to another lady at church who also has the same model and year (08 XL7) and she mentioned that her car also seems to use a lot of gas. It would be great if the car could be built to be more fuel efficient. Thank you for listening!

Hi there! I hope you're doing well. I wanted to share my experience with the Xl7. I've actually owned two of them, including my current one which I bought brand new in 2008. While I've had a few issues with it, I've found that the dealership has been really helpful in resolving them. One thing to note is that I've had to replace the gas cap a few times, as the check engine light tends to come on if it's faulty. Additionally, replacing the air filter and Hepa filter can be a bit pricey at $50 and $72 respectively. I did have an issue with the arm that helps fold the back seats down, but the dealership was able to fix it quickly. Overall, I've had a positive experience with my Xl7. While I was considering trading it in, I found out that the Kelly Blue book value is $9000, which is great considering I paid $22000. Thanks for listening!
