NOW WHEN YOU PURCHASE EITHER OF THESE UNITS IT IS SUGGESTED THAT YOU ALSO BUY THE NEW BOLTSAND CASTLE NUTS FOR IT WHICH LESS THEN 29 DOLLARS. THE UNITS HAVE NEW BUSHINGS INSTALLED SO I KNOW SOME ONE IS PRODUCING THEM AND YOU CAN BUY THE BOLTS FROM ALMOST ANYONE. THE MECHANIC SUGGESTED SOONER THEN LATER WOULD BE BEST AS RACK MAY COME LOOSE FROM FRAME AND CAUSE A SEVER LOSS OF STEERING WHICH WOULD INCLUDE SEVERE BODILY HARM OR DEATH. AND GM DOES SELL RACK AND PINION MOUNT BUSHING FOR THEIR OTHER VEHICLES JUST NOT THE SATURNS FOR SOME REASON! THEIR INSPECTION FOUND THAT BOTH BRAKE LINES AT THE REAR WHEEL CYLINDERS WERE COMPLETELY RUSTED THROUGH WHICH ALLOWED THE FLUID TO SPAY OUT OF THEM WHEN THE BRAKE PEDAL WAS APPLIED.

THEN, WHILE DRIVING AGAIN, THE BRAKES LOCKED DOWN AND STOPPED THE VEHICLE. ONCE LOCKED, THE BRAKES DID NOT RELEASE, OR DO NOT RELEASE COMPLETELY. AND WE DISCOVERED - ULTIMATELY, ONCE THIS HAPPENS YOU SIMPLY CAN'T FIX IT. THE FIRST THING THAT WE DID IS WE REPLACED THE BRAKE PADS, ROTORS, TIE ROD ENDS AND BOOTS, BECAUSE WE THOUGHT THE PADS WERE GOING BAD AND THE ROTOR WAS WARPED (THE FRONT END HAD STARTED HAVING A SHIMMY AT HIGHER SPEEDS SOMETIMES ALSO). THAT SEEMED TO FIX ALL BUT THE SHIMMY SO WE THEN REPLACED THE TWO FRONT TIRES AND HAD THEM REBALANCED AND REALIGNED. AFTER THAT THE BRAKES SUDDENLY LOCKED UP RATHER HARD. I MANAGED TO GET OFF THE HIGHWAY SAFELY, BUT THE VEHICLE WOULD BARELY DO 10 MPH BECAUSE OF THE BRAKES LOCKING DOWN. WE TOOK IT IN AND REPLACED PARTS FOR ALL OF THE BRAKE SYSTEM. WE REPLACED THE PADS, ROTORS, CALIPERS, HOSES, MASTER CYLINDER AND THE ABS UNIT (ONLY FOUND IN JUNKYARDS NOW). THEN THE BRAKES LOCKED ONCE AGAIN AND CAUGHT FIRE! WE PUT IT OUT, BUT THIS WAS A KNOWN PROBLEM, ESPECIALLY WHEN ATTEMPTING TO REPLACE BRAKE PARTS ON THIS MODEL. WE FOUND NUMEROUS REPORTS ONLINE THAT THIS WAS A COMMON PROBLEM FOR THIS MODEL, AND NOT JUST FOR 2005.

Ever since I became the owner of my 2005 Vue, I have found it to be a great purchase. I use mid-grade gas and can get up to 300 miles to a tank. I have also learned how to maximize my horsepower by downshifting to the lower gears. The car's versatility and roominess have been a great help in carrying my sons and my work load. Keeping it clean has been quite easy. The only issue I have had so far is keeping the stains off the fabric. Overall, this car has been a fantastic addition to our family.

Your 2005 Vue has been a loyal companion for the past 13 years, and it has been a great ride! It only let you down twice, once due to a catalytic converter and a year later the motor blew at 187,000 miles. Fortunately, you were able to get a brand new motor in the car and it has run like a top until this past week when the frame broke. It's truly a shame to say goodbye to such a wonderful car that has travelled over 275,000 miles with you. During the down time, you replaced the clutch and pressure plate, and just last month put all new shocks and struts, wheel bearings (went through a few of those over the years), sway bar links front and rear sway bar. You took great care of this car and had a wonderful mechanic. There will never be another car like it. Thank you for sharing your amazing journey with your 2005 Vue!

If you're looking for an SUV that combines the speed and performance of a sports car, you'll absolutely love the Saturn VUE Redline. We have the Black V6 available, and I highly recommend it over the 4 banger. The 250 hp Honda motor is incredibly powerful, but the AWD keeps it stable on the road. I encourage you to consider the VUE and enjoy the feeling of passing those gas-guzzling lunch box SUVs.

This vehicle is beautifully styled with plenty of room. The leather seats are comfortable and the grocery containment bins are fantastic. It has been very dependable, with only one issue to deal with in 50,000 miles - the driver side seat heater stopped working. However, they fixed it within a week with a new part. I have always received great service with every oil change and routine maintenance.

I bought my Saturn View in October of 2005. Unfortunately, the gas gauge broke at 5000 miles and then at 12000 miles there was an electrical problem causing the daytime running lights to stay on. The car died and I had to have it towed, which was a bit of a hassle. However, the dealer was able to cover everything and was very helpful throughout the process. Although it was a bit of an inconvenience, I'm glad that everything was taken care of in the end.

I have been a proud owner of this vehicle for almost 5 years, but unfortunately, I have experienced multiple issues. While it was under warranty, the windshield washer pumps on the front and back stopped working. Although they were replaced, they stopped working again within 2 months. The dealer was unable to replace them the second time due to the warranty expiring between the two occurrences. The strut assembly has been replaced twice, but it still makes a lot of 'crunching' noises. Additionally, I have had some gas cap seating problems and multiple oil leaks. Unfortunately, I have decided to part ways with my Vue very soon.

The build quality of the exterior seems to be lacking. If you push on any of the outside body cladding, you may notice some issues. Additionally, the CVT transmission has become increasingly louder as the mileage has gone up. Although Saturn claims that this is normal operational noise, it did not sound that way when I first purchased the vehicle. Unfortunately, the hood cable has stretched three times now, and the last time I was told it was fine was just before my warranty expired. As a result, I am now unable to open my hood. The service team seemed to suggest that I may have done something to cause the issue, but I have opened many hoods on various cars without any problems with the cable.

Since purchasing this vehicle (new) you have had nothing but problems. We are sorry to hear that the air conditioner was barely functioning from day 1, the front sway bar, sunroof, drive shaft bearing, wheel bearing (twice!!!), driver's door coming out of alignment, and brake rattling have caused you inconvenience. We understand how frustrating this must be and we would like to help you resolve these issues as soon as possible.

I'm on my second Saturn, but this is my first truck. I really like the way the VUE looks, but I do feel that the interior is a bit cheap. It's frustrating that there isn't a switch for the rear passenger to roll down their window, so they have to ask me to do it for them. I don't really understand the point of window locks. The steering has a lot of play in it, but overall I like the truck and would recommend it. I haven't found anything wrong with it yet, except for the wheel bearing that went out already. The gas mileage doesn't seem very efficient, but that could be the case with all trucks.
