- Summary: I was driving on the highway, on the way to the beach with my family and our pup! We heard a pop and thought maybe it was the tire but the engine began smoking. I pulled the vehicle over as safely as possible. I popped the hood and there was a fire. Everyone evacuated the vehicle as quickly and safely as possible. I was the last to get out of the vehicle. Within minutes the entire vehicle was engulfed in flames. We stood there and watched the only vehicle we have completely burn up. I cried and I watched my kids cry. What was supposed to be a beach day for us to distress and relax turned into us almost losing our lives on the highway. We are thankful for the state trooper, the fire department, and the paramedics who all arrived on scene and kept my family safe. Im thankful our lives weren’t lost. However we still faced a life or death situation today.

- Summary: The brackets welded to the frame of the vehicle holding the steering knuckle/subframe together was designed in a very poor way. This design issue causes the vehicle to collect excess moisture in a way that is difficult if not impossible to drain, resulting in eventual rust build up in this area of the vehicle at an increased rate. Additionally, this section of the frame did not use thick enough steel, resulting in this bracket rusting off much quicker than the age of this vehicle should allow. This resulted in the engine dropping about an inch and a half, damage to the suspension, gasket and valve cover leaks, damaged wheel hubs, and general inoperability of the vehicle due to unsafe conditions created. It's unsafe driving condition has been confirmed by the lead mechanics at our GM Dealership, and is currently undergoing inspection by GEICO for a possible total loss claim. No indications were given other than excessive wear on the wheel hubs shortly before the engine dropped and the corner of the frame rusted/broke off. We live in a salt state yes, but the poor design of this frame is to blame and should be recalled for total replacement by the manufacturers due to the incredible safety risk that this poses to the public.

You've covered an impressive 3,000 miles so far! It's great to hear that the car has met all of your expectations in terms of size, flexibility, utility, handling, and comfort. The gas mileage is also impressive, with 26 mpg on steady highways, 17-18 mpg in the city, and an overall 22 mpg. The engine and transmission provide smooth and strong performance, and the heated seats are a real treat. The sound system is decent and even has an MP3 jack. I'm glad to hear that you're enjoying the storage flip-up system in the rear, and the chrome and fog lights really add to the overall look. The sunroof is a great feature, and it's even better that it closes completely without any wind noise. Great engine!!! All you ever had to repair are the brakes and a wheel bearing. Although the road noise can be bad even with the window up going at highway speeds, it's still a great starter car for new drivers. With 165000 miles and still going strong, you've made a great choice!

My wife and I previously owned an '02 Blazer and an '06 Escape, but we recently traded them both in for a 2007 Vue V6. We were initially unsure whether to opt for the Hybrid or the V6, but ultimately decided on the V6 due to our frequent travels and the need for extra horsepower when passing. Recently, we embarked on a six-hour journey with three adults, one child, and a car seat in the back, and I must say, it was a comfortable ride. We are thoroughly impressed with our Saturn and will definitely consider purchasing another one in the future. Perhaps next time, we can afford the roomier Outlook. My wife is absolutely in love with the car and throws a fit if she doesn't get to drive it to work.

We purchased the VUE after driving a Plymouth Vibe for 11 months. Our decision to buy the VUE was made after struggling to get home during a bad snowstorm with the Vibe. I must say, the VUE is the safest and most reliable car I have ever driven in the snow, ice, and rain.

I have experienced numerous issues with my car, including a persistent noise that has not been resolved despite multiple visits to the dealership. The car has required frequent repairs, such as wheel bearing replacements and brake replacements every six months. The most recent incident occurred when the car lost power and all the warning lights on the dashboard illuminated. As a responsible driver and mother of two, I am disappointed with the poor quality of the vehicle and the inadequate customer service provided by the dealership.

Although there have been some issues with my 2007 Saturn Vue, I have been able to address them promptly and effectively. In the past seven months, I have had to replace the wheel bearing and hub assembly, the alternator, and most recently, the air compressor. While the cost of replacing the air compressor was $835, I am confident that my vehicle will continue to serve me well with proper maintenance.

The handling of the 2007 Saturn VUE is acceptable, but there is noticeable engine noise in the cabin. During a recent 2000 mile trip, the car averaged 23 miles per gallon on the highway. Unfortunately, the car was delivered with a large crack in the roof frame, which allowed water to enter the cargo area. Although the robots were asleep during assembly, Saturn North America has agreed to weld the defect, but it will not be covered under warranty.

Although there were some recalls, I thoroughly enjoyed my brand new car. The mph initially performed well, but unfortunately began to decline over time. Despite the issue with the electrical panel, which was never resolved, I was able to drive the car for 100,000 miles before it was retired. Overall, I am confident in my positive experience with this car.

I purchased this vehicle almost two years ago. The vehicle has a loud noise when driving, especially on the freeway. I had to replace one rear bearing and brakes multiple times. The rear brakes were not properly assembled. However, after the repairs, this vehicle runs like a beauty. I would recommend checking thoroughly before purchasing.
