The Ram pickup (marketed as the Dodge Ram until 2010) is a full-size pickup truck manufactured by Stellantis North America (formerly Chrysler Group LLC and FCA US LLC) and marketed from 2010 onwards under the Ram Trucks brand. The current fifth-generation Ram debuted at the 2018 North American International Auto Show in Detroit, Michigan, in January of that year.

- Summary: Over the past 2 years we have had issues with the front end particularly the drag link coming loose and major steering problems and major bouncing which resulted in purchasing 2 new sets of tires within 2 years. It was brought to our attention that there was a recall for the exact same issue from NHTSA Recall# V06 19V-021. Unfortunately our VIN number was not listed on the recall although our truck was having the same issue that was listed in the recall. I have contacted NHTSA and filed a safety complaint (Complaint# 11570103). Over the 2 years, we have had the drag link repaired twice which has cost us approximately $4700 in repair costs and tire replacement which could have been covered had our truck was listed under the recall. I have requested NHTSA to investigate and list our truck under the recall and is requesting refunds to the repairs I have already paid for. This request has been declined and that is not acceptable. Truck had to be towed to dealership where they were unable to duplicate or determine what caused the problem. Our concern is not being able to move the vehicle out of danger when this occurs or the danger of it occurring while in motion, which we experienced years ago with a Jeep Grand Cherokee.

- Summary: This vehicle has a manufacturers #X99 extended warranty. It is for the Turbo Actuator. It extends to 15 years or 150,000 miles. I had a failure of my Turbo Actuator. The vehicle went into limp mode approx 2,000 miles from my home.The malfunction indicator lamp went on and I had to get the control solenoid fixed in order to continue to use the vehicle. We were told that this was related to the Turbo Actuator and to get it fixed when we got back home. I had to have more work done on it once home to finish the Turbo work done.I have approached Ram through mail and email to get reimbursed for the costs. I am continuously getting denied from the manufacturer. When I get emails from Stellantis the people only have one name and no direct contact number so I can speak with them. I have continuously asked to speak to a supervisor and no on will get back to me. I have submitted all my costs to have this fixed as well as the extended warranty X99. I have provided all the information they ask for per the extended warranty. I cannot speak to anyone about why they say my vehicles is not covered. According to the extended warranty X99 it is covered as my vehicle has approx. 93,000 miles at this time.

The MIL indication and subsequent codes related to this failure are the same as being reported in the Warranty Bulletin previously addressed by FCA, X99 6.7 Cummins Turbocharger Actuator Warranty Extension. I was put at risk of an accident due to this happening on expressway. I experienced a loss of power when I certainly needed it to pull over to get to the shoulder. I believe my vehicle and others that were built with these subpar actuators should have been included in this warranty extension. Please advise if further information is needed. - Summary: The high pressure fuel pump is disintegrating. It has been recalled in newer dodge rams But has not been recalled 4 2015 even though it is very similar and made of the same material. This has been confirmed with the dodge dealership as this is where it sits, so it is available upon request. We had a check engine light come on prior to the incident but was never Indicated when checked at the shop that this was the problem. As far as safety goes you never know when it is going to act up. It usually doesn't have power from the get go or loses power while driving, Putting people's safety at risk as it will slow down to almost stopping or not go at all. It also continually blows black smoke. It has been inspected by the dealership. It has been inspected by an insurance adjuster all confirmed the hype. High pressure fuel pump is the problem and there is shrapnel throughout the entire fuel system.

The reservoir for coolant is drained of coolant. There is an odor of oil and antifreeze in the cabin which is harmful and poisonous. Also, the engine may fail along with other components on the vehicle without warning as no there is no indicator light warning of the problem.the vehicle was purchased on 3/29_23 from a used car dealership, whom allegedly claims to have inspected the vehicle thoroughly

- Summary: The power steering pump bolts sheared off their mounts, causing a catastrophic and instant loss of my ability to steer and/or brake without great difficulty. While we were in a parking lot at the time, we had just crossed over a mountain pass, while hauling a 7200 lb travel trailer. Had it detached on a downhill, winding highway, this VERY easily would have been a fatal flaw.

- Summary: Chrysler (FCA US, LLC) is recalling certain 2015-2020 Ram 1500 Classic, 2015-2016 Ram 3500, and Ram 2500 vehicles, and 2016 Ram 3500 Cab Chassis with a gross vehicle weight rating less than 10,000 lbs. The side air bag inflatable curtain (SABIC) inflator end cap may detach from the inflator, or the inflator sidewall may rupture.
- Consequence: A separated inflator end cap or inflator rupture can allow compressed gas to escape, resulting in the end cap or other components being propelled into the vehicle, increasing the risk of injury or crash.
- Remedy: Dealers will inspect and replace as necessary, the SABIC assemblies, free of charge. Interim owner notification letters were mailed on October 4, 2021. Owner notification letters were mailed on May 26, 2022. Owners may contact FCA US, LLC customer service at 1-800-853-1403. FCA US, LLC's number for this recall is Y55.

- Summary: Chrysler (FCA US LLC) is recalling certain 2015-2017 Ram 1500, 2500 and 3500 pickup trucks equipped with an 8 foot bed and a power locking tailgate. Chrysler is also recalling all 2013-2014 and 2018 Ram 1500, 2500 and 3500 pickup trucks built before April 1, 2018 with a 6 or 8 foot bed and a power locking tailgate. On August 29, 2019 Chrysler expanded the recall to include an additional 693,128 model year 2013-2014 Ram 1500, 2500 and 3500 pickup trucks. The tailgate actuator limiter tab may fracture and cause the tailgate to unlatch and open while driving.
- Consequence: If the tailgate opens while the vehicle is being driven, cargo may fall out the vehicle and create a road hazard, increasing the risk of crash.
- Remedy: Chrysler will notify owners, and dealers will repair the tailgate latch, free of charge. The recall began May 23, 2019. Chrysler is expected to notify owners of the expanded population on October 18, 2019. Owners may contact FCA US customer service at 1-800-853-1403. FCA US's number for this recall is V44. - Consequence: A drag link separation can cause a loss of steering control, increasing the risk of crash.
- Remedy: Chrysler will notify owners, and dealers will check the steering linkage jam nut tightness, replacing the drag link assembly or welding the nut to the adjuster sleeve, free of charge. - Summary: Streetcar ORV LLC (Streetcar) is recalling certain American Expedition Vehicles (AEV) 3" Dualsport aftermarket suspension kits, part numbers N0436000 and N0436001, sold for installation on 2013-2018 RAM 2500 and 3500HD trucks. Improper installation and machining of the original equipment steering knuckle may weaken the joint between the steering drag link and knuckle.
- Consequence: The weakened connection may result in a fractured steering drag link, causing a loss of steering and increasing the risk of a crash.

- Summary: Chrysler (FCA US LLC) is recalling certain 2015-2017 RAM 1500, 2500, and 3500 pickup trucks equipped with a power locking tailgate and either a 5 foot, 7 inch or 6 foot, 4 inch bed. The tailgate actuator limiter tab may fracture and cause the tailgate to unlatch and open while driving.
- Consequence: If the tailgate latch releases and the tailgate opens while driving, cargo may fall out, creating a road hazard and increasing the risk of a crash.

These vehicles are being recalled to address a defect that could prevent the cruise control system from disengaging. If, when using cruise control, there is a short circuit within the vehicle's wiring, the driver may not be able to shut off the cruise control either by depressing the brake pedal or manually turning the system off once it has been engaged, resulting in either the vehicle maintaining its current speed or possibly accelerating.
- Consequence: If the vehicle maintains its speed or accelerates despite attempts to deactivate the cruise control, there would be an increased risk of a crash.
- Remedy: Chrysler will notify owners, and dealers will inspect the software, and perform a software flash on the engine or powertrain control module, free of charge. The recall began June 4, 2018. Owners may contact Chrysler customer service at 1-800-853-1403. Note: Owners are advised to stop using cruise control until the software update has been performed. In the event that cruise control cannot be disengaged while driving, owners should firmly and steadily apply the brakes and shift the transmission to neutral, placing the vehicle in park once it has stopped.

These extinguishers may become clogged, preventing the extinguisher from discharging as expected or requiring excessive force to activate the extinguisher. - Summary: Chrysler (FCA US LLC) is recalling certain 2016-2017 Ram 3500 Cab Chassis with a Gross Vehicle Weight Rating (GVWR) of less than 10,000 lbs, 2011-2017 Ram 3500, 4500 and 5500 Cab Chassis vehicles, 2009-2017 Ram 1500 and 2010-2017 Ram 2500 and 3500 pickup trucks, all equipped with a column shifter. Pushing the brake pedal for prolonged periods when the vehicle is running and in PARK may cause the Brake Transmission Shift Interlock (BTSI) pin to stick in the open position. With the pin in the open position, the transmission can be shifted out of PARK into any gear without pushing the brake pedal or having the key in the ignition.
- Consequence: Being able to shift the transmission without pushing the brake pedal and/or without a key in the ignition can increase the risk of an unintended vehicle rollaway that may result in personal injury or a crash.
- Remedy: Chrysler will notify owners, and dealers will update the vehicle software, inspect the BTSI, and, as necessary, replace it, free of charge. The recall began February 26, 2018. Owners may contact Chrysler customer service at 1-800-853-1403. Chrysler's number for this recall is T79.

- Summary: Chrysler (FCA US LLC) is recalling certain model year 2013-2016 Ram 1500, Ram 2500, and 2014-2016 Ram 3500 vehicles. Certain driving conditions, such as driving off-road or debris striking the vehicle may cause the roll rate sensor to trigger a fault within the Occupant Restraint Controller (ORC). If this fault occurs, the rollover side curtain air bag and the seat belt pretensioner will be disabled from deploying.
- Consequence: If the rollover side curtain air bags and seat belt pretensioners are disabled, there is an increased risk of injury to the vehicle occupants in the event of a crash that necessitates activation of these safety systems.

These Mopar canvas seat covers were sold through Chrysler dealerships beginning October 15, 2015. The seat covers can impede the deployment of the seat thorax airbags.
- Consequence: If the seat cover impedes the air bag deployment, the seat thorax air bags may not provide adequate protection in the event of a crash, increasing the risk of a injury.

I really appreciate this truck! It pulls and rides great, and I'm getting much better mileage than my previous trucks. Although there have been some computer flash recalls that have affected my gas mileage, the truck is still running well as of April 2019. I did notice that some of the plastic around the center console is a bit soft and the chrome scratches off easily. Additionally, the cruise control button can be a bit finicky, especially in colder weather, but once it starts working, it works without any issues. It's worth noting that this truck is actually a diesel, despite being labeled as a gas V8 at the top.

If you're looking for a truck that can do it all, this is it! My only complaint is the gas mileage, which averages at 12mpg. RAM has always been known for their powerful trucks, and this 3500's diesel engine is no exception. I have owned several RAMs in the past, but this one is truly exceptional.

It's good to hear that you feel safe and enjoy driving it. I appreciate your honesty about the seats lacking a bit of comfort, but it's great that you were able to find a solution with a seat cushion for lumbar support. Despite purchasing this truck new, I have unfortunately experienced numerous recalls and seven transmission leaks, each presenting a different issue. While I have contacted Chrysler regarding these issues, their follow-up calls within days of repair seem to prioritize closing the issue rather than ensuring my satisfaction. It is unacceptable and I am disappointed. However, I remain confident in my decision to never purchase a Chrysler product again. It is my belief that they should have bought the truck back. It is worth noting that the truck has the 6.4 Hemi.

Hello! I have a 2015 Ram 2500 with the Cummings diesel and have experienced some recalls and issues with the DEF system, computer system, and lug nuts and studs. The dealership has informed me that all 8 nut systems can be difficult to remove and replace, and that this has been the case for many years. However, based on my experience working with aircraft and auto parts, I believe that this may be due to defective parts or poor maintenance, such as over-tightening with impact tools instead of using a torque wrench. Unfortunately, replacing these nuts can be quite expensive, costing around $8-10 per nut and about the same for the studs. I have had to replace my catalytic converter, DEF pump, and have had my computer reprogrammed multiple times for various issues. In my opinion, these recurring issues may classify my vehicle as a lemon. Thank you for your time and attention to this matter!

Hello! First of all, I hope you're doing well. I wanted to share my experience with my 2015 Dodge Ram 2500. Unfortunately, I'm a few weeks outside of the corrosion warranty, and living in Michigan where there is rust hasn't helped. I've owned nothing but Ram trucks, but I'm absolutely sick and tired of them rotting out. This time, I bought a nice 2015 2500 with about 75,000 miles on it, and sure enough, in no time at all, the truck started rotting out at the wheel wells like normal. I'm extremely displeased that a $45,000+ truck will rust out in just 5 years. After this experience, I'm not sure if I will own another Dodge Ram again. However, I must say that the truck runs and drives great with no issues, plenty of power, and great mileage for what it is. Thank you for listening to my experience.

I purchased this truck with only 7800 miles on it, but unfortunately, I have experienced 4 recalls in less than a year. The factory bedliner is separating from the steel, which is causing me to miss out on using it for work. I have had to take it to the shop multiple times due to manufacturer defects, which is quite frustrating. I was disappointed to find out that a loaner is not included in the warranty, and trading it in is not a viable option due to the significant depreciation of Rams. I contacted the company to inquire about a loaner, but unfortunately, there is no loaner policy when your vehicle is in the shop, even when it is due to manufacturer flaws. I was also disappointed to find out that they wanted to patch the factory sprayed bedliner instead of respraying the whole thing, especially since I paid $600 for it. Despite these issues, I have never had this many problems with my Fords.
