1994 Chevrolet Chevy van problems
The Chevrolet Van or Chevy Van (also known as the Chevrolet/GMC G-series vans and GMC Vandura) is a range of vans that was manufactured by General Motors from the 1964 to 1996 model years. Introduced as the successor for the rear-engine Corvair Corvan/Greenbrier, the model line also replaced the panel van configuration of the Chevrolet Suburban. The vehicle was sold both in passenger van and cargo van configurations as well as a cutaway van chassis that served as the basis for a variety of custom applications.
Produced across three generations (1964–66, 1967–70, and 1970–96), the model line was sold under a wide variety of model names under both the Chevrolet and GMC brands. The first two generations were forward control vehicles (with the engine placed between the seats); the third generation adopted a configuration placing the engine forward of the driver. The second and third generations shared powertrain commonality with the C/K pickup truck model line.
After the 1996 model year, GM retired the G-Series vans, replacing them with the GMT600-platform Chevrolet Express and GMC Savana.

I am the original owner of a 92 Prizm, which has been a great workhorse. Despite a few minor issues, such as a valve problem in the gas tank and a faulty power window motor, it has been mechanically reliable. The car is built on a 2-ton steel truck frame with a V6 engine, which unfortunately struggles on hills and only gets 17mpg in Missouri. However, it still manages to perform well and has never failed to start when parked facing downhill. Overall, I am confident in the car's durability and performance, as it has proven to be a reliable and sturdy vehicle.

I love hearing about your 1993 G20 with a 5.7 liter V8! It sounds like a powerful and reliable vehicle that can handle anything you throw at it. It's great to hear that you've had such a positive experience with it and that it's been low maintenance. I hope it continues to serve you well for many years to come!

Lots of room for people and cargo. The Beauville trim option adds a nice touch to the already great styling.

Bought in Jan. 98 with 60,000 miles. It's been well maintained by the original owner and has been a dependable vehicle for us. We did about $1200 worth of scheduled service work at the dealership at 90,000 miles, but other than replacing rotors and brakes, it has been maintenance-free. We've really enjoyed its comfortable ride on long trips.

I recently installed poly bushings in the sway bar and added poly air bags to the front springs, resulting in a superb ride. Unfortunately, the T.P.S. went bad at 75,000 miles, causing a high idle, and the air conditioner compressor seized at 70,000 miles, which burned up the serpentine belt, leaving me without water pumping, alternator or power steering. However, I was able to fix the issue by installing a bypass pulley and a new belt. Additionally, the exhaust fell off, but I was able to install a clamp on a new one from the cat. converter. Although the trip counter gears stripped out, the odometer and counter are still in good condition. Overall, I am very happy with my van, which has been very dependable with 75,000 miles on it now.

Hi there! I wanted to share my experience with my conversion van. I bought it back in '95 with only 26,000 miles on it, and it's been quite the journey since then! While I've had to replace the brakes every year and deal with some front end problems during inspections, it's always started up and shifted smoothly. Unfortunately, I did have to replace the axle bearings every year, but I think that's just because I made the van heavy duty without using heavy duty parts. After 10 years, the A/C finally went out, but that was to be expected. Recently, the van was totaled, but I'm actually glad because it's time for a new adventure! Thanks for listening to my story.

Hi there! I hope you're doing well. I just wanted to share my experience with my G20 full conversion van. It's been a great addition to my family, especially when we're towing our race trailer around. The amount of room it provides is amazing and it's been a better option for us than any SUV. Although, I did have a bit of a hiccup recently when the ignition lock busted at 93000 miles, but overall it's been a great investment for us!

Hi there! We have a great van available with moderate mileage.

I hope you had a great trip! It sounds like the vehicle was pretty dependable and fuel efficient (20+mpg/hwy) considering the size. Although, it may have been under powered when climbing up hills. Overall, it seems like an excellent economical work horse when it's fully loaded.
