2019 Gmc Yukon problems
The Chevrolet Tahoe, and its badge-engineered GMC Yukon counterpart, are full-size SUVs and other trucks from General Motors, offered since 1994 and 1991, respectively. Since 1982, Chevrolet and GMC sold two different-sized SUVs under their "Blazer" and "Jimmy" nameplates, by introducing the smaller S-10 Blazer and GMC S-15 Jimmy for the 1983 model year, below the full-size Blazer and Jimmy models. This situation lasted into the early 1990s. GMC first rebadged the full-size Jimmy as the "Yukon" in 1991. Chevrolet however waited until 1994, when they rebadged the redesigned mid-size S-10 Blazer the "new Blazer," while renaming the full-size Blazer as the "Tahoe." The name Tahoe refers to the rugged and scenic area surrounding Lake Tahoe in the western United States, and was originally used as a trim level on S-10 models. The name Yukon refers to the Yukon territory of northern Canada.
For the 1995 model year, the Tahoe and Yukon gained a new, longer four-door model, slotting in size between the two-door models and the longer-wheelbase Chevrolet/GMC Suburbans.
The Tahoe is sold in North America, parts of Asia such as the Philippines, and the Middle East, plus other countries including Bolivia, Chile, Peru, Colombia, Ecuador, and Angola as a left-hand-drive vehicle. The Yukon is only sold in North America and the Middle East.
The Chevrolet Tahoe and GMC Yukon are part of General Motors' full-size SUV family and are differentiated from the similar Chevrolet Suburban and GMC Yukon XL primarily by the length of the passenger and cargo area behind the C-pillar. An upscale trim GMC Denali sub-model joined the Yukon lineup as the top-of-the-line trim for the 1999 model year; the Cadillac Escalade is a closely related upscale version sharing the same platform. The Denali is available on both standard and XL versions.
The Tahoe has regularly been the best-selling full-size SUV in the United States, frequently outselling its competition by two to one.

Common 2019 Gmc Yukon problems
Based on complaints from owners of the 2019 GMC Yukon, several common problems have been reported:
- No Airflow from Rear A/C Vents: Some owners have experienced a lack of airflow from the rear A/C vents at around 1,000 miles. This issue is typically due to a damaged A/C duct line to the rear seats. While dealerships may cover this under warranty for low-mileage vehicles, out-of-warranty repairs can cost around $350.
- Delayed Gear Changes: Another reported problem is delayed gear changes within the first 5,000 miles of driving. This issue can be addressed through transmission software updates that improve performance and speed. While some dealerships offer these updates for free, others may charge around $100 for labor.
- Tailgate Light Not Working Properly: A common cosmetic issue reported is the tailgate light not working correctly. This problem requires replacing the entire fixture, which can be relatively expensive for a minor cosmetic fix.
- Excessive Oil Consumption: Some Yukons, especially in the 2019 model year, have been reported to consume excessive oil. While not extreme, this issue can lead to higher maintenance costs over time, requiring owners to carry extra oil and monitor levels regularly.
- AC Not Working Properly: The 2015 Yukon models, in particular, have been prone to A/C failures. Repairs for this issue can cost around $1,000 on average, depending on the type of failure.
- Transmission Problems: Owners of the 2019 Yukon have experienced transmission issues such as delayed engagement, hard shifts, acceleration problems, and gear shift flare. These problems can lead to significant driving discomfort and safety concerns, with repair costs potentially exceeding $6,600 for a new transmission.
These reported problems highlight various issues that owners of the 2019 GMC Yukon have faced, ranging from minor cosmetic concerns to more significant mechanical and performance-related issues.

2019 Gmc Yukon recalls
The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) has issued 1 recalls for different components of the 2019 Gmc Yukon.
- Manufacturer: General Motors LLC
- Components: SERVICE BRAKES, HYDRAULIC:ANTILOCK/TRACTION CONTROL/ELECTRONIC LIMITED SLIP:WHEEL SPEED SENSOR
- Summary: General Motors LLC (GM) is recalling certain 2015-2020 Chevrolet Suburban, Tahoe, and GMC Yukon, and 2014-2018 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 and GMC Sierra 1500 vehicles equipped with a 5.3-liter engine, a 3.08-ratio rear axle and four-wheel drive. If a wheel-speed sensor fails, while the vehicle is traveling between 41 and 60 mph in four-wheel or automatic mode, the Electronic-Brake Control Module (EBCM) software may activate the driveline-protection system.
- Consequence: Unintended activation of the driveline-protection system will cause unintended braking on the wheel on the opposite side of the failed sensor, causing the vehicle to pull to one side unexpectedly, increasing the risk of a crash.
- Remedy: GM will notify owners, and dealers will reprogram the EBCM, free of charge. The recall began December 11, 2019. Owners may contact Chevrolet customer service at 1-800-630-2438 or GMC customer service at 1-800-462-8782. GM's number for this recall is N192261050.
