Hi there! From my experience, this van has proven to be a reliable and powerful option. It may not be the fastest off the line, but it definitely has enough power to reach highway speeds in no time. As a handyman, I have found the cargo space to be more than enough for all my tools and equipment. The ride is comfortable and turning into tight spots is a breeze. Although the visibility for changing lanes could be better, the blind spot mirrors on each side are a great help. The instrument panel is nicely set up and the steering wheel controls are easy to use. I have been pleasantly surprised by the gas mileage, which has been above the sticker of 24 and 25, getting 27.5 around town and 30 on the road even with some weight in the back. Overall, I am very happy with this van and it has exceeded my expectations. By the way, I test drove the Ford version and it did not impress me as much as this one did.

The 2021 plain Jane model is quite impressive! I have been getting 30.3 miles per gallon around town, which is fantastic. While I wouldn't recommend taking it up Pikes Peak, it's perfect for me as a retiree who isn't in a rush. Although it doesn't have an armrest, it's still comfortable to drive. The only downside is that it doesn't have remote mirrors, which can be a bit of a challenge with blind spots. However, it's versatile, economical, and I'm hoping it will be reliable for my upcoming cross-country trip as a camper. On a recent trip from upstate NY to Southern Virginia, I even brought my 100 lb. pup along and it rode smoothly with some extra weight. Overall, I'm quite pleased with this car!

Just a friendly reminder for those who own a Nissan NV 200, the transmission neutral safety switch may need to be replaced after approximately 120,000 miles. Unfortunately, Nissan does not sell the switch separately, and instead requires you to purchase a rebuilt transmission from them, which can cost up to $4500. I understand that this can be frustrating, as I have also experienced difficulty in obtaining the part from various Nissan dealerships and even Nissan Corporate Customer Service. It is important to note that a new transmission comes with a 12-month, 12,000-mile warranty and must be installed by a Nissan dealership. Please take care when driving, as a malfunctioning transmission can cause significant damage.

I noticed a few areas where the NV200 could be improved. Firstly, it would be great if there was a window built into the back passenger side, not to open and close, but just to look through. This would make it a lot safer. Secondly, the gas gauge can be frustrating as it's difficult to tell when you're at the beginning of a bar or near the end. I prefer the old-style vertical, linear gauge. Thirdly, the spare tire should be inside the vehicle or have a lift-up at the end of the bed. I had it put inside so the tire guys wouldn't have to go to a lot of hassle to check it and put air in it. I don't use the air indicator at all because it flashes on and off like all the other lights. If something needs attention, that light should stay on. I just get the tires filled once a month, like usual. Lastly, there is very little room in the passenger seat and glove compartment, so it would be great if both had more space. It would also be helpful if the mileage showed tenths of a mile. I hope Nissan considers these improvements for future models of the NV200. I intend to buy a new one in a few years and would love to see these changes implemented.
