The Lexus GX (Japanese: レクサス・GX, Hepburn: Rekusasu GX) is a mid/full-size luxury SUV sold in North American and Eurasian markets by Lexus, a luxury division of Toyota. Though it is thought the GX has always been larger than the RX, from 2015 to 2022, the RX is slightly longer and slightly wider than the GX and therefore the GX was considered smaller. All GX production has occurred at the Tahara plant in Japan, alongside the Land Cruiser Prado and the export-minded Toyota 4Runner.

I STARTED THE CAR AND KEPT DRIVING DOWN THE ROAD I COULD HEAR AIR COMING THROUGH MY SUNROOF. LUCKILY THE MOON ROOF SLIDING DOOR WAS CLOSED SO NO GLASS HAD ENTERED THE INSIDE. TOYOTA HAS RECEIVED REPORTS OF CUSTOMER CONCERNS REGARDING THE ILLUMINATION OF THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT (MALFUNCTION INDICATOR LIGHT) DUE TO MOISTURE/WATER IN THE AIR INJECTION PUMPS AND/OR AIR SWITCHING VALVES IN THE ENGINES OF A NUMBER OF THESE VEHICLES. The interior is absolutely first class and the electronic features are both sophisticated and easy to use. The ride, handling, and power on this SUV are truly incredible. While the 3rd row seat may be a bit cramped for an average sized person, there is still more room in this SUV than in other luxury midsize SUVs. While the exterior design may not be my personal favorite, it's important to note that there are many different models out there right now, and this one still has a lot to offer.

I have owned 5 SUVs and can confidently say that this is the most luxurious one yet. However, despite my initial expectations of owning it for several years, I have been experiencing lower back pain due to the seat and ride quality. Even with the headrest turned backwards, which may look unconventional, the pain persists. An MRI has confirmed a bulging disc, making this a serious issue that needs to be addressed.

I'm so glad I got the Base model with all the options - it's been great so far! The only issue I've had is that it might need a wheel alignment or tire adjustment. It's such a comfortable and luxurious ride, although it does feel a bit more like a truck compared to my previous BMW and Acura SUVs. My kids absolutely love it though!

I'm glad to hear that you're enjoying your car! I completely agree with you about the body side molding on the non-Premium edition. It does look a bit plain without it. I hope you're able to find a way to get it. As for the plastic in the cockpit, I can understand your concern. It does seem like there's a bit too much of it. However, I'm glad to hear that everything works great and that the instruments are well displayed. If you do end up having any issues with the plastic in the armrest, hopefully it will be covered under warranty.

I previously owned a '05 Lexus GX470 and I must say that this SUV is a significant improvement in almost every way. I am completely satisfied with my ownership experience, but I do find some of the plastics on the dash to be below Lexus standards. The engine is incredibly smooth and quiet, and surprisingly, this GX drives much sportier than the previous generation. I really enjoy the Bluetooth streaming audio and the huge center console. What I love most about this vehicle is the small details that make it better every time I get in, such as the whizzing motors of the windows/sunroof that slow to close and the improved voice recognition software. Based on my experience, I will most likely purchase another Lexus/Toyota product.

I really like this vehicle, but I have noticed some issues with the acceleration after stopping and accelerating quickly. This could potentially be a safety concern, especially when trying to quickly accelerate through an intersection. However, I am pleased to hear that Lexus is addressing the issue. Although there have been no reported accidents yet, it is important to prioritize safety. If it weren't for this issue, I would only have minor concerns about the small area for the 3rd row and the leg room for the driver's side. It's worth noting that this vehicle is built on the 4runner chassis, and the exterior and style are very impressive. Overall, I think this is a great vehicle with a lot of potential.
