The Lexus GX (Japanese: レクサス・GX, Hepburn: Rekusasu GX) is a mid/full-size luxury SUV sold in North American and Eurasian markets by Lexus, a luxury division of Toyota. On March 19, 2020, Toyota expanded the recall to include 2015 Lexus GS350 vehicles. The low-pressure fuel pump inside the fuel tank may fail.
- Consequence: If the fuel pump fails, the engine can stall while driving, increasing the risk of a crash.
- Remedy: Toyota will notify owners, and dealers will replace the fuel pump, free of charge. The recall began May 4, 2020. Owners may contact Toyota customer service at 1-888-270-9371 or Lexus customer service at 1-800-255-3987. Toyota's numbers for this recall are 20TB02 and 20TA02 for Toyota vehicles and 20LB01 and 20LA01 for Lexus vehicles.

This is my second GX. My first was a 2003 GX 470, and I currently have a 2012 GX 460. Both have been great vehicles with no problems. They still ride and drive like new. I love the buttery smooth V-8 power. I will be curious to see how the V-6 does in the new model?

I purchased a certified used 2012 GX460 with 16,000 miles. During a 500-mile road trip at 19,000 miles, I noticed that it pulled to the right and had vibrations in the steering wheel. I previously owned a 2007 TRD FJ Cruiser for 120,000 miles before the GX, and it never drove like this. Despite never taking the GX off-road, we did an alignment with every oil change. Unfortunately, we gave up at 34,000 miles and traded the GX in for a 2004 LX 470 with 69,000 miles. In my experience, the older GX 470 or LX 470 are better cars. I would advise potential buyers to be cautious.

The Lexus GX has had some issues since its purchase, such as cheap interior materials and unsupportive seats. Additionally, the technology is outdated and frustrating to use. However, the car has been covered under warranty for its 4-5 unexpected visits to the dealer. While the car has some drawbacks, it does have some positive aspects such as the dealer being easy to work with and having ample room with the seats folded. Overall, the car may not be worth its price tag of $65,000.

I recently had the opportunity to drive a 2014 Land Cruiser for a few days and it left quite an impression on me! The vehicle had a very tough feel to it, with almost hydraulic-like steering and a raucous V8 engine. I was pleasantly surprised to discover that Toyota could make such a 'macho' SUV. Intrigued by the legend of the Land Cruiser, I decided to try the GX460. While still a heavy beast, the steering was much softer and I didn't feel the road as much, although cornering was a bit top-heavy. The V8 engine was very powerful, but a bit loud under the hood. The interior was very refined, but unfortunately, the Land Cruiser is prone to rust and corrosion, particularly in the rear window hinge and bolts and screws. The 3rd row seat is electronic folding only and can break eventually. Overall, I found the Land Cruiser to be a bit of a rust bucket, and would personally prefer the Tahoe. However, if Toyota could address the issue of rear window hinge corrosion, it would be a much more appealing option.

Fuel consumption should be better since the LS models get a highway average of 25mpg. Additionally, it would be great if the rear door opened up instead of to the side, like all of Toyota's SUVs. This would not only be safer, but also keep the rain off when loading. Lastly, the leg room in the 2nd row could be improved.
