2021 Land rover Range rover sport problems
The Land Rover Range Rover Sport, generally known as the Range Rover Sport, is a mid-size luxury SUV produced under their Land Rover marque, from the British manufacturer Land Rover, and later Jaguar Land Rover. The first generation (codename: L320) started production in 2005, and was replaced by the second generation Sport (codename: L494) in 2013, replaced by the third generation Sport (codename: L461) in 2022.
Range Stormer concept
The Range Rover Sport was prefigured by the Range Stormer concept car, introduced at the 2004 North American International Auto Show.
This was a low-slung, short wheelbase 3-door coupé that was unusually "sporty" in the context of Land Rover's history. Designed by Richard Woolley, the marque's first complete concept car sported split-folding gullwing doors, one-piece skeletal seats, a "clamshell" bonnet, 22 inch alloys, a 289 km/h (180 mph) top speed, 4WD and a 2,500 kg (5,512 lb) weight. The Range Rover Sport was comparably of much more conservative design featuring five doors and a wheelbase hardly shorter than that of the Range Rover Vogue.
A replica of the Stormer was built by West Coast Customs of Corona, CA for Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, on the occasion of opening West Coast Customs Dubai; the car is currently registered under the Dubai Traffic And Road Authority.
The Range Stormer is now on display at the Heritage Motor Centre in Gaydon, Warwickshire, UK.

Common 2021 Land rover Range rover sport problems
The Land Rover Range Rover Sport 2021, like its predecessors, is known for its luxury and off-road capabilities. However, it is also associated with reliability challenges. Here are some of the common problems based on complaints from owners:
- Propshaft Problems: The propshaft problems in the Range Rover Sport can cause excessive vibrations, which can be felt from its cabin. This is a common issue for all Sport model years, including other Land Rover models like the Discovery 3 and 4. The propshaft usually fails due to worn-out rubber parts and bearings. Regular greasing and checking for wear can prevent this problem.
- Fuel System Issues: The 2017 model of the Range Rover Sport had multiple fuel system issues, leading to a recall in 2018. Defective fuel gauges and malfunctioning engine management software can intermittently shut down the engine, increasing the risk of a crash. Land Rover has guaranteed to notify owners of affected SUVs for free repairs.
- Door Lock Problems: The Range Rover Sport's door lock problems caused Land Rover to recall over 65,000 SUVs in 2019. The keyless vehicle latching system may malfunction or refuse to activate, causing the doors to suddenly open while the SUV is moving. Affected vehicles will be inspected, and all necessary repairs, including software updates, will be done for free.
- Uncomfortable Ride and Ponderous Handling: The Range Rover's ride can be uncomfortable, with the suspension irons out most road imperfections but at the loss of any sort of body control. The soft, floaty ride might be tough on sensitive stomachs. The handling and steering are also considered ponderous.
- Infotainment System: The infotainment system in the Range Rover is frustratingly glitchy and slow. It requires learning the system menus to adjust settings, and with so many screens, it's not always obvious where to look.
- Theft: Despite the high desirability of Range Rovers, the key and keyless system is relatively easy for criminals to fool and access the vehicle. This has been a problem for many manufacturers, not just Land Rover .
- Suspension Problems and Recalls: Suspension problems and recalls are common in the Range Rover Sport. The 2018 facelift model had several changes, and owners should be aware of potential issues with the door locking mechanism, TDV8 turbo issues, and timing chain guides for the V8 and Supercharged V8 .

ENGINE PROBLEM
- Date Of Incident: 2023-02-18
- VIN: SALWS2RU0MA
- Components: ENGINE
- Summary: leaking coolant onto the Turbocharger. My coolant light has been coming on often for the past year or so. A month after I top off coolant my Warnings light indicates low coolant. I’ve been to Land Rover Range Rover multiple times with this issue, I was told there is no issue and they top it off and tell me it’s good to go, a month later same issue. I’ve noticed there has been a recall on this matter for 2019-2021 Land Rover Ranger Rover PHEV but not on Range Rover sport 2021 even though there has been many complaints about this. I went in today and I was not talking no for an answer and finally they check and as I had suspected coolant is leaking onto turbocharger. I will attach a photo that the technician from Jaguar Land Rover Fort Lauderdale has uploaded to the Service Status Tracker link, there you will see that it is the same issue that the recall was on for Land Rover Range Rover sport PHEV vehicles Recall no. 23V221000. They have not added my specific Range Rover Sport to the recall.
POWER TRAIN,ELECTRICAL SYSTEM,EXTERIOR LIGHTING PROBLEM
- Date Of Incident: 2022-03-19
- VIN: SALWR2SE0MA
- Components: POWER TRAIN,ELECTRICAL SYSTEM,EXTERIOR LIGHTING
- Summary: I was driving the car on March 11th 2022, at around 10pm when the car suddenly lost power, while driving in a rural area of Interstate 5 in northern California when the vehicle lost power, I was unable to see anything at all and had to pull to the shoulder unsure of what was on the shoulder. Dash display stated "headlight detected" and the vehicle shut off. Everything was off including, power, lights, engine, and the vehicle was unresponsive for 30 minutes. After about 30 minutes, the car started up and I decided to drive it. Furthermore, after about 1.5 miles the issue repeated and the car shut off again. Car was off for about 5 minutes, at this point I decided not to drive the car as I felt it was dangerous. The night of March 11th, the vehicle was towed to the nearest Land Rover/Range rover dealership and was diagnosed on Monday the 14th. The dealership diagnosed the vehicle with a defective battery. The battery was replaced and I was assured that the technician was certain the issue is resolved, and they have experienced it with other Range rover sports in the past year. I picked up the vehicle on March 16, 2022. Today, March 19, 2022, while driving the vehicle around 1pm the vehicle, the dashboard displayed “headlight fault detected” and the vehicle was once again shut off, including all the electronics. I do not consider this incident to be as dangerous as it was during daylight and near my house. However, the earlier incidents were very hazardous as it occurred at night, with no vehicle lighting or street lighting in an unfamiliar area. I am not confident driving this vehicle at all, as it could lose power at any moment. Thankfully in this time, the vehicle was in a safe area, but this incident could certainly have happened in the middle of a turn, in an area with no shoulder, or in a construction zone. All of which would dramatically increase the risk of significant injury.

After driving the redesigned new BMW X5, the Mercedes ML, and the Lexus RX back-to-back, we found that the Range Rover Sport's driving characteristics simply left all the others behind. While looks are a matter of personal taste (and we love the Land Rover lineup), the handling of this SUV is simply amazing both on- and off-road. In fact, it's as fast as a race Mini-Cooper on the Nürburgring in Germany. This is our 5th Range Rover and none has ever disappointed us.

This SUV is fantastic in every aspect. Although the electronics may be a bit quirky, I'm not losing any sleep over it. They provide the necessary functions consistently enough that if something exceptionally fails, I'm not upset at the world. The vehicle offers plenty of luxury, utility, technology, and power. However, it is crucial to know what you're buying and test drive it before making a purchase. If you hear people complain, it's either because they got a lemon or they failed to understand the options, didn't test drive it, or went for the base model to save money... (Facepalm)

Hey there! I've been driving my Range Rover for about a year now and overall it's been a great experience. Occasionally, the screen glitches in really hot weather, but it's not a big deal. Overall, I'm really happy with my car!

I’ve owned many cars, SUVs, and trucks from various brands over the years. However, this car stands out as the best. It boasts fantastic build quality, performance, and comfort. It looks great and is a blast to drive. I would definitely buy another one without hesitation.

I purchased a 2019 Range Rover Sport V8 Supercharged in August 2019. Initially, everything was great except for a sunroof rattle that was present from the day I picked up the car. Unfortunately, things took a turn for the worse around January 2020. The 'Sport' badge painted in black on the tailgate began flaking off, but the dealership was able to fix the issue. I also experienced a clicking noise on the outside of the car when turning the wheel at low speeds, which was resolved by replacing the upper control arm. Additionally, the screens in the car have gone black while driving and the reverse camera has stopped working, but the dealership is working to resolve these issues. I have also had some suspension and other related warning faults, but the dealership has been helpful in addressing these concerns. Although there have been some issues with the car, the dealership has been responsive and has worked to resolve each issue as it arises. I appreciate their efforts to ensure my safety and satisfaction with the vehicle. The passenger seat motor fan for the heated and cooling seats is currently jammed and not working. Additionally, the brake pedal inside the car makes an awful groaning noise when applied and clicks when sudden pressure is applied. Although the brake pedal actuator was replaced, the issues still persist. There are also some rattles inside the cabin when the engine is idling high, as well as engine vibrations around 1200rpm which can be felt throughout the cabin. It is unclear whether this is related to the transmission, but at low speeds and especially in traffic, there can be sudden jolts and thumps under the car, almost as if there is a disconnect in the drivetrain, which can be very abrupt at times. It is important to note that the car is only a year and a bit old with 23k kilometres to date. Although the car looks great and the interior is very nice, the constant issues are frustrating. As it is a lease, I am looking forward to returning the car. Unfortunately, I will not be returning to this brand since I have never had so many issues with a vehicle that is only over a year old. The quality of the vehicle is not up to par and the dealer's service has been subpar. I have had better quality and service from much cheaper cars like a Nissan Altima. It is definitely not worth the money to spend on such an expensive vehicle that spends most of its time at the dealer. It is better to get a simpler and cheaper vehicle.

This model of Range Rover has been a disappointment to me, as it has not lived up to the high standards set by previous models I have owned and driven. The car's keyless entry system has been particularly frustrating, as it often fails to recognize my key fob and has required multiple visits to the dealer without resolution. Additionally, the rear trunk foot opening and infotainment screen have also experienced glitches. Despite the twin tailpipe design, only one is actually functional, which is disappointing. Overall, my experience with this Range Rover has left me dissatisfied and I will be looking for a different vehicle for my next purchase.

I've owned several cars in my life, but unfortunately, this one has been the worst. It has had charging issues and jerks when I push the gas. I've taken it down to Reno, Nevada for service three or four times, but unfortunately, it hasn't helped. I'm considering trading it in for something else, as I'm feeling quite frustrated with the Range Rover service. I'm disappointed with the service I've received, and unfortunately, I cannot recommend them at this time.

A plug-in hybrid requires electrical engineering expertise. Although the car drives great when it works, it has been plagued with numerous issues that the dealerships have been unable to resolve. It is recommended that you check the ratings before making a purchase to ensure that it meets your expectations and requirements.
