2022 Land rover Range rover sport problems
The Land Rover Range Rover Sport, generally known as the Range Rover Sport, is a mid-size luxury SUV produced under their Land Rover marque, from the British manufacturer Land Rover, and later Jaguar Land Rover. The first generation (codename: L320) started production in 2005, and was replaced by the second generation Sport (codename: L494) in 2013, replaced by the third generation Sport (codename: L461) in 2022.
Range Stormer concept
The Range Rover Sport was prefigured by the Range Stormer concept car, introduced at the 2004 North American International Auto Show.
This was a low-slung, short wheelbase 3-door coupé that was unusually "sporty" in the context of Land Rover's history. Designed by Richard Woolley, the marque's first complete concept car sported split-folding gullwing doors, one-piece skeletal seats, a "clamshell" bonnet, 22 inch alloys, a 289 km/h (180 mph) top speed, 4WD and a 2,500 kg (5,512 lb) weight. The Range Rover Sport was comparably of much more conservative design featuring five doors and a wheelbase hardly shorter than that of the Range Rover Vogue.
A replica of the Stormer was built by West Coast Customs of Corona, CA for Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, on the occasion of opening West Coast Customs Dubai; the car is currently registered under the Dubai Traffic And Road Authority.
The Range Stormer is now on display at the Heritage Motor Centre in Gaydon, Warwickshire, UK.

Common 2022 Land rover Range rover sport problems
The Land Rover Range Rover Sport 2022 is a luxury SUV that offers comfort, prestige, and off-road capabilities, but it is also known for its reliability challenges. Here are some common problems with the Land Rover Range Rover Sport 2022 based on complaints from owners:
- Air Suspension Faults: The Range Rover Sport's air suspension system is a complex system that is prone to faults. The warning light on the dashboard is a yellow or red light in the shape of a car with an arrow over the top of it, and it may show various messages on the dashboard info screen. The symptoms of air suspension faults include one or more corners not raising, the vehicle being slow to raise, and it may only go to standard ride height and not in off-road or access mode. The most common issues include diagnostics, suspension calibration, air suspension compressor replacement, suspension compressor replacement, air suspension height sensor replacement, air suspension valve replacement, and air suspension reservoir tank replacement.
- Front Suspension Arms: The front lower suspension arms are one of the most frequent tasks undertaken in the workshop. These often go undetected until excess play is found in the lower suspension bushes on an MOT. While replacing the bushing is possible, it is much easier to replace the complete arm that it is part of as it is very difficult to remove the worn bush and press in a new one perfectly straight. Once new arms have been fitted, it is important to perform a 4-wheel alignment (checking both toe and camber) otherwise, you will find your Range Rover Sport is pulling to one side, crab walking when turning, or is heavily and unevenly wearing your tyres, reducing their lifespan significantly.
- Brake Discs and Pads: Range Rover Sport vehicles are well known for using up brake discs and pads due to their high power and weight. If low pads are spotted early before any damage is caused to the disc, then just the pads need to be replaced. However, if the discs are damaged, then the discs and pads need to be replaced.
- Timing Chain Failure: The timing chain is a critical component of the engine, and failure can cause significant damage to the engine. The 2.0 Ingenium diesel engine is particularly prone to timing chain failure, and it is essential to replace the timing chain as soon as possible if it fails.
- DPF Failure: The diesel particulate filter (DPF) is a device designed to remove diesel particulate matter or soot from the exhaust gas of a diesel engine. DPF failure is common in diesel models, and it is essential to replace the DPF as soon as possible if it fails.
- AdBlue Issues: Diesel models with AdBlue systems may experience issues with the AdBlue system. AdBlue is a urea-based solution that is injected into the exhaust system to reduce harmful emissions. It is essential to ensure that the AdBlue system is functioning correctly and that the AdBlue tank is filled regularly.
In summary, the Land Rover Range Rover Sport 2022 is a luxury SUV that offers comfort, prestige, and off-road capabilities, but it is also known for its reliability challenges. The most common problems include air suspension faults, front suspension arms, brake discs and pads, timing chain failure, DPF failure, and AdBlue issues. It is essential to address these issues as soon as possible to avoid significant damage to the vehicle.

What are Range Rover 4.4 sdv8 common problems?
COMMON ENGINE FAILURES
The 4.4 sdv8 suffers from a similar turbocharger system malfunction like the 3.6 tdv8, meaning oil is sucked through the intake causing engine failure. The valvetrain seems to use improved materials and does not suffer with the corrosion issue.

I must say, leasing the Ranger Rover Sport was the best decision I made! Although I was hesitant at first, I rented the car from Enterprise at least 5 times and even rented other luxury SUVs before making my decision. The car is obviously not great on gas, but for such a large SUV, it surprisingly has pretty good gas mileage, especially on the highway. The technology and interface are great, and the cabin is luxurious. The ride is smooth and it performs great off-road. I haven't had a single issue with maintenance, although the car is still less than a year old. I highly recommend this car, especially for families who want something sporty and fun to drive, with all the features of a luxury vehicle in an SUV.

After driving the redesigned new BMW X5, the Mercedes ML, and the Lexus RX back-to-back, we found that the Range Rover Sport's driving characteristics simply left all the others behind. While looks are a matter of personal taste (and we love the Land Rover lineup), the handling of this SUV is simply amazing both on- and off-road. In fact, it's as fast as a race Mini-Cooper on the Nürburgring in Germany. This is our 5th Range Rover and none has ever disappointed us.

I appreciate the IL6's impressive appearance, powerful engine, luxurious cabin, and comfortable ride for long journeys. However, I must note that the engine can be rough during start-up and acceleration, and the multimedia interface can be slow.

Absolutely amazing vehicle. A masterpiece of form and function. Dealer experience was first class and is what car buying should be, effortless. The quality of this Range Rover is amazing, with top-notch technology and built like a tank. The monster of a V8 engine is every bit as efficient as a high compression turbocharged V6, a testament to British engineering. As an American car buyer, I deviated to support our most loyal ally and trading partner, the good people of the UK! Thank you, Range Rover!

I’ve owned many cars, SUVs, and trucks from various brands over the years. However, this car stands out as the best. It boasts fantastic build quality, performance, and comfort. It looks great and is a blast to drive. I would definitely buy another one without hesitation.

I strongly advise against purchasing a Land Rover. Despite owning three previous models with little to no issues, my wife and I were convinced to purchase a new 2020 LR Sport Phev. Unfortunately, it has been a complete nightmare with numerous electrical, braking, and electric motor issues. The electric motor has never worked properly, and the noise it makes is comparable to that of a jet airplane. Additionally, random trim pieces on the interior and exterior have fallen off without any apparent reason. The vehicle has spent more time in the service department than in our garage. Even after LR claimed to have fixed the vehicle with a computer update, the same issue reoccurred within hours. The vehicle is unreliable and unsafe to drive, and we have had to call the tow truck multiple times. Unfortunately, dealing with LR corporate has been even worse than the vehicle itself, with weeks and months passing without any response. Despite having gone through five LR representatives, we have yet to see any results. I strongly advise against purchasing a Land Rover, as this company has proven to be a complete joke.

My 2020 RR PHEV has experienced some issues with the engine light turning on, despite having been serviced by the dealer three times with parts being replaced. The dealer has informed me that a recall will be issued for all models of this car worldwide due to a new hybrid software that will be available at the end of September 2020. While this has been an inconvenience, I am confident that the manufacturer will resolve the issue and ensure the reliability of my car going forward.

I purchased a 2022 RR Sport 9 months ago and it is a beautiful vehicle with plenty of power. Although I had to wait 2-3 months for delivery, it was not a problem for me. However, I did experience some disappointment with the electronics and functions. The Nav systems did not work with voice commands and I had to have the infotainment system replaced. Additionally, when driving long distances on interstates at 60-80 MPH, the car would occasionally tend to pull to one side like it hit a rut or groove in the road. Although service was unable to duplicate the issue, they were able to schedule an appointment within a week or two. I did notice a lot of vehicles in the back of the service department when I purchased, but was informed that they were waiting on parts or pickup. Overall, I still enjoy my RR Sport and appreciate the power and beauty it provides.

Looking for an SUV PHEV that works? The Range Rover Sport may not be the best choice. While it looks beautiful and luxurious, driving it can be a bit of a letdown. The plug-in hybrid P400E model claims to have a 'full electric' drive setting, but in reality, it rarely operates under full electric power. Land Rover has explained that the car has 'certain algorithms' that force it into gas engine mode, which can be frustrating for drivers. The Sport's two center information panels can also be unreliable, turning off at will and taking a while to respond. Other issues include inconsistent throttle response, occasional parking brake activation, and difficulty releasing the electric plug. If you're set on the Range Rover brand, consider a different model, as other drivers have reported similar electronic issues with the Sport. Otherwise, we recommend trying the Volvo SUV PHEV instead.

Despite our initial skepticism due to the endless horror stories about the poor quality of this SUV and the high cost of repairs, we decided to purchase it. Unfortunately, we experienced several issues such as the windshield wiper motor breaking, door panels falling off, and problems with the instrument panel and AC, all before reaching 30,000 miles. The real issue came when the brake system completely fell apart at around 30,000 miles, and we were told by the mechanics that this was normal. To make matters worse, Land Rover uses ceramic rotors that cannot be cut and must be replaced with all new pads, costing around $2000 plus tax for brakes alone. We have decided that we will not be purchasing a Land Rover again. It is disappointing to see a company producing unsafe SUVs that fall apart and then charging exorbitant prices for repairs.
