2019 Land rover Range rover evoque problems

The Land Rover Range Rover Evoque, also known as the Range Rover Evoque, is a subcompact luxury crossover SUV developed and produced by Jaguar Land Rover under their Land Rover marque. The original Evoque was a development of the Land Rover LRX concept vehicle, which was unveiled at the North American International Auto Show in January 2008. The first generation Evoque was produced from July 2011 until 2018 in three and five-door versions, with both two-wheel and four-wheel drive. The second generation of the car went into production in 2018.
First generation (L538; 2011)
Development
The size of the LRX concept vehicle complemented a wide array of efficiency-improving technologies in the form of Land Rover's e_Terrain technologies. These included biofuel compatibility, lightweight construction materials, and technologies such as the removable carbon composite roof panels, regenerative brakes, a stop-start system, along with the ERAD (electric rear axle drive) parallel hybrid powertrain system.
ERAD system
The ERAD system could propel the LRX to speeds up to 20 mph (32 km/h) before the engine was started by an integrated starter generator as part of the stop-start system. ERAD was designed to reduce CO2 emissions by an average of 20% under the NEDC test cycle and was expected to offer another 10% reduction in extra-urban driving situations while also optimizing the off-road ability of the vehicle. Land Rover aimed to achieve 120 g/km CO2 emissions and fuel economy of 60 mpg‑imp (4.7 L/100 km; 50 mpg‑US) on the European combined cycle with an efficient 2.2-litre turbodiesel engine based on PSA DW12. The engine would become the only four-cylinder vehicle in the Range Rover lineup.

Common 2019 Land rover Range rover evoque problems
The common problems with the Land Rover Range Rover Evoque 2019, based on complaints from owners, include:
- Infotainment System: Concerns have been raised about the functionality of the infotainment system. Owners should ensure that the system works properly and has been updated to the latest software version. The Pivi system allows for over-the-air updates, eliminating the need for dealership visits for software updates.
- Recalls: Several recalls have been issued for the 2019 and 2020 models of the Range Rover Evoque. These recalls include issues with the emergency call system, rubberized fuel return hose assembly, and the 48V electrical system. Owners should be aware of these recalls and ensure that their vehicles have received the necessary updates to address these issues.
- Reliability Ranking: In a recent What Car? Reliability survey, the Range Rover Evoque ranked 32nd out of 34 cars in the family SUV class. Land Rover as a brand also performed poorly, ranking 28th out of 32 manufacturers featured. This indicates a general trend of reliability concerns with the Evoque and Land Rover vehicles in general.
These problems highlight some key areas of concern for owners of the Land Rover Range Rover Evoque 2019 model, emphasizing the importance of thorough inspections, software updates, and staying informed about any recalls to ensure the optimal performance and safety of the vehicle.
What is the most common problem with Range Rover Evoque?
Most problems centre on the non-engine electrics, especially around the air-con and sat-nav units, with gearbox woes a close second, followed by engine and suspension issues. Automatic gearbox problems on the Evoque are fairly common.
Are Range Rover Evoques expensive to fix?
The average annual repair cost for a Land Rover is $1,174, which means it has average ownership costs. The other factors that contribute to Land Rover reliability include an average of 0.7 visits to a repair shop per year and a 16% probability of a repair being severe.
Is it a good idea to buy a Range Rover Evoque?
Out on the road, whichever engine you go for, the Evoque is generally a comfortable companion, but it does have a tendency to fidget and jiggle over rough surfaces at lower speeds. Considering its off-road readiness, this is a posh SUV that's also surprisingly fun and capable in corners.
What is the suspension problem on the Range Rover Evoque?
One of the most common sources of Range Rover suspension problems is the car's air struts. Made in part with a flexible rubber, they're prone to cracking, rotting, or being punctured. And most of them wear out at about the same rate, so if one needs replacing, you can bet the other three will soon.

- Summary: The the top of the windshield leaks. The windshield has actually pulled away from the body of the car and needs to be completely resealed. This is a well known and recall problem for 2015 to 2018 Land Rover Evokes. My Evoke is a 2019 thus dose not fall under the recall, yet its the same issue. There are many other people with this complaint which can be seen with a quick Google search on this issue. My dealership has straight out told me that my year is not in the recall, although same problem, its not a recall item because my year is not included in the recall. I am asking that you expand the current recall for leaking windshields form 2015 to 2022 (i say 2022 because on line, there seems to be an on going issue until 2022. Not to mention, this issue drastically diminishes the safety integrity of the vehicle roll over safety / security / strength. Thanks you.

The last 6 numbers of my VIN falls within the range of vehicles affected by this notice; I.e., 255258-354248. This is a known safety hazard and it needs to be covered for the vehicle owners affected by this issue without expiration.

ELECTRICAL SYSTEM PROBLEM
- Date Of Incident: 2019-07-26
- VIN: SALVP2RX9KH
- Components: ELECTRICAL SYSTEM
- Summary: While driving on the interstate I released the cruise and slowed down when coming up on an 18 wheeler. When it was clear I began to change lanes to the left and tried to accelerate but the engine would not respond. About 5 or 6 seconds later it finally responded. This has happened about a dozen times at random. It has been in the dealers shop 6 times for this issue. The usually update the software and call it good but it keeps on happening. I had it in the shop this past January 2021 and a tech from Range Rover worked on it for about 1 1/2 weeks upgrading the software and said it was fixed. It happened 2 times since then so back to the shop I went. They returned the car on the 4th day stating they could not make the car shut down and there were no codes. I don’t know about you but it’s very stressful when you are driving in heavy traffic on Interstate 4 near Orlando and your car shuts done for a few seconds. I read on the internet where other people are having similar issues. I think something needs to be done before there is a tragic accident because Range Rover acts like they don’t know what everyone is talking about.

My wife and I have put over 26,000 miles on our 2018 Evoque due to our daily commutes. Overall, we find it to be a very comfortable and solid ride with low wind noise and decent power. We opted for the premium with the cold climate package to get the amenities we wanted in a luxury car. The only issue we have encountered is a clunky shift from 1st to 2nd gear, which occurs about 25% of the time and can be off-putting. On the bright side, the servicing on 2018 models has been reduced to once a year or every 16,000 miles. Our first service cost us under $250, and the next one will be $400, which was a pleasant surprise, even cheaper than our Kia. Additionally, after being rear-ended and needing almost $20,000 worth of work done, my wife only suffered a sore neck and the dealership was very helpful throughout the entire process. Overall, we are extremely pleased with our purchase and would highly recommend it to our friends.

I was considering waiting for a 2018 Q5 or going back to a BMW X3 (which I had in 2011 and loved) or an Evoque. Ultimately, I decided that the X3 needed a refreshed look. The Evoque appealed to me because I wanted a 4x4 to drive on the beach. Although I was a little skeptical about the mixed reviews I read, I still wanted it. So, I bought a 2016 with 12k on it that had been part of the dealer's loaner fleet. I didn't want to pay full price for a new one in case I ended up not liking it. I've had it for three weeks now and I am really enjoying it. Since I don't have any kids and it's usually just me in the car, the back seat being tight is not a big issue. After having the BMW X3 with the tech package, I don't know that any car's navigation/entertainment will impress me. The way it operated with the joystick was seamless and intuitive. The cockpit in the Evoque is uncluttered and easy to figure out. Although the response on the screen could be a little faster, it works fine. The navigation sometimes gets you very close to your destination but not quite there and says I initially wanted almond interior, but I am really loving this one! Although the gas mileage is poor, the seats are super comfortable. The remote start feature from my iPhone is really cool, even though it takes a little longer than using a key fob. The hatchback doesn't have a ton of room, but the interior lining has a bump out to accommodate golf clubs. If you carry two sets of clubs, you may have to put part of the back seat down. The engine shifts a little differently than I'm used to, but it's not bothersome. The car has a high waistline, which is why the cameras come in handy. I'm really enjoying the car, especially because it has a unique look. Everything is starting to look the same. I test drove the Mercedes GLC, Acura RDX, Lincoln MKC, and Audi Q5. Although I loved the Q5 because it was very fun to drive, I wanted to get the Evoque out of my system.

Still love my 2019 Evoque Convertible. You ride higher than all other convertibles and the styling is just amazing. Plus, the gas mileage is good and no car looks better with the top down!
-
I love convertibles, and I was thrilled when Land Rover created the convertible SUV. It's the perfect combination of high-riding, 4-wheel drive, and convertible all in one car. Plus, it's incredibly reliable!
-
So far, the RR has satisfied all my requirements for a luxury SUV. Although I would have liked the auto passing sensing technology to be included as standard equipment on my SE Premium package. I feel very fortunate to have been able to purchase the Evoque.

I noticed that the car experiences some wheel hop and body roll when going over small pot holes and bumps, which can be a bit uncomfortable. The suspension feels quite stiff, almost like a Mini Cooper. I'm considering selling the car soon, but I'm open to suggestions on how to improve the ride quality.

Hi there! I've had my 2016 Evoque for 2 years now, but unfortunately, I've been experiencing some issues with the engine light coming on every 1 or 2 months. Although it's frustrating to have to bring it in for repairs so frequently, the service advisor at the dealership knows me well by now. I wanted to share my experience with you, as I've never written a review before. If you're considering purchasing a Range Rover, please be cautious and do your research. I hope this helps!

I had some issues with my HSE from the very beginning. Unfortunately, it was the only vehicle I've ever owned that had engine problems and had to be towed back to the dealer. It even failed on me in the worst possible conditions (-27c). Although the vehicle looks cool and gets compliments, it's unreliable, noisy inside the cabin, and expensive to maintain. I didn't feel comfortable driving it on the highway for routine driving, so I decided to take a loss and switch to a Volvo instead.

Just a heads up, you may need to have it serviced occasionally while it's in your possession. Unfortunately, the service department at the Charlotte dealer has been less than satisfactory. Communication has been lacking and repairs have taken anywhere from 4 to 9 weeks. Considering selling it soon.

The car has some drawbacks such as the lack of lane keeping feature which makes it difficult to stay within the lines of the road. The engine is also quite crude and loud, and the transmission can be jerky in upshifts and downshifts. Additionally, the brakes tend to pulsate when applied. However, the car does come with optional Windsor Leather seats which are very nice and give a sense of luxury. While the back seats are not very spacious, they may be suitable for children under 11. Overall, the car may be a good choice for those who prioritize luxury and style over practicality. It is important to note that the convertible version may become a collector's item in the future.
